Belkin Reviews
Stay far away from this brand...
The router our dorm room used was made by Belkin, and it was pretty terrible. Out of the four of us, it would pretty much only allow one of us to connect at any given time, and good luck trying to watch any videos or streams. We asked the dormmaster to get us a different brand, hope it helps.Terrible product (range extender N300)/ and terrible service. Couldn't get product to work. Chat person told me someone would call and they didn't. Called and got someone (assume outsourced from India) who couldn't speak a lick of english. Yelled at me after I told him I couldn't understand him. Returning product. Will not consider Belkin again.
Bought a Belkin Router that would not work properly and I had to spend nearly 4 hours over 2 days with their "Tech Support" that was in an overseas call center. Bad product, bad support! Do Not Buy a Belkin product! I finally gave up, returned the Belkin and bought a Netgear router which works just fine!
Good luck getting connected...
The Belkin router used at our office is quite terrible in quality. Quite frequently, it simply refuses to connect me online, resulting in way too frequent reboots.Belkin routers have a feature that is very stupid. If dhcp changes your ip while doing administration from a dhcp controlled device you will not be allowed to log back into your router even if you have the password. There are only 2 ways around this. 1) reboot the router, and lose all your connections while accruing downtime which is absolutely unacceptable if you run a business, or are a network administrator like me, 2) manually change the ip address of your computers tcp/ip settings to match the ip stated by the router. When I called tech support not only did they tell me there is no way to disable this flaw, but they absolutely refused to give me a mailing address to return my item for a refund, and kept demanding personal information from me which was not nessessary to get a mailing address. their tech support is run by hindi's who barely speak english, and have no sense of respect or initiative to handle a problem like giving me the mailing address to return my router. i'm going to take my router back to wal-mart, and hope they can help me since i lost the reciept, or i'm going to take belkin to civil claims, and getting my money back by taking them to court.
