Appliance repair!

My LG refrigerator quit running on Sunday so I called first thing Monday morning to get a serviceman out here to look at it. The first lady I talked to said she could have someone here in 10 days and it would cost $150 to diagnose problem and whatever they had to fix on top of that. I promptly told her that would be the last thing I bought at Best Buy if that's the best service they could offer. Two hours later after talking to 5 or 6 people and getting nowhere, I gave up. About and hour after that some lady called and said that A and E Appliance service would be here in 2 days so I said o.k. I promptly got on the web and checked out their rating and it's the worst I have ever seen. A flat "1". I called a repairman in the town where I live. He was here the same day and fixed the frig for $150 total. I canceled A and E. Listen up everyone and DO NOT ever get their repairman. Call a local repair service. Best Buy sucks!

Buying a new cell phone

I never really went to best buy so being mistreated ignored or just plain out not professional. I went to best buy to find a ph a smartphone not a specific smart ph. I approached the cell ph area all the reps were just sitting there giggling I had someone sort of asked if I needed something I told her I was looking for a smartphone but wasn't sure what I wanted I actually .need two cell phones. Since I didn't know what kind of cell ph I wanted I was hoping that the rep would go over different choices to choose from with the info I have her. She flat out said the kind of ph u r looking for doesn't exist so I asked for something close to what I was looking for she told me of one ph then walked away and said to me if u need anymore help just ask. U didn't help me and u looked at me as if I was wasting ur times that stupid girl sat right back down while I stood there next to the phones I got no customer service and was so heated that I knew If I stayed there I would be escorted out by police I would have cussed her out an made her cry before I took my now pissed off behind home but since I met my husband he has calmed me down, so the next day I went back expecting that the other day was a fluke but it wasn't I tried to give BB the benefit of the doubt but I gave them too much creditI hate best buys hiring practice they go give a crap about their customers or their needs they r young and unprofessional and badly trained young people may bring a little something to the table; fresh look energetic cute pretty. But I'm sure if they had experienced workers they would bring I more revenue n the complaint dept will b @ a minimum. Even though I have a best buy cc I will never shop there again or deal with unattentive unprofessional unproperly trained eager to make money but don't care if u earned it. I haven't been to best buy in YEARS since this last time. It will be years again before I go back I really need another new ph but u better believe I will not go back to get half ass customer service from a bunch of unprofessional CHILDREN WHO JUST WANT A PAY CK not caring about the customers who help pay that ck. If I was a mean person I would have asked to speak to her supervisor I don't know u just walk off from a customer in the middle of a sale. I went back to get a phone I saw on TV ad gave Credit to another dimwitted best buy employee. I really hate their hiring practices best buy could care less about its customers or they would hire experience sales reps but when u try to save money on unprofessional people ur business changes. Well ima post my issues on FB best buys customer service sucks!

I am commenting about a product I purchase a dvdvhs recorder (dmrez48v) and 2 years later it manfuctioned, so I decided to purchase another, because I felt was not worth the time to having it service, and now 2013 the same problem accorded with this one. I looked up the part (rfkb79180c) and it cost $425.00 more than what the recorder cost $370.00 and guess what, best buy doesn't even carry this product anymore, and I looked on ebay, no one has this part, except the purchase of a used dvdvhs recorder at the same price as a new one. I do believe this is a manufacturing problem this merchandise. thank you.

Wonderful prices and more.

Best Buy really cares for its customers when it comes to offering electronics to us. Not only are their prices often far superior to other stores, but the Best Buy credit card they offer is very generous when it comes to its rewards program. The rewards rack up very quickly, meaning more free products for me!

Merchandise is ok. Customer Service needs to be better

I like the sales offered by Best Buy. However, the customer service area leaves little to be desired, atleast the majority of them. There are a few "good" guys working there, but are far and few between I have found.
Overall, Great deals when offered. Lousy Customer Service though

Best Buy Performance

I could go into all the details, but what would that do? Should it take over a month for the Geek Squad to come out and install aTV. Should I have to go to a store and ask why can't they be on time. I mean 12-4pm do mean 12-4pm not 5 or 6pm. Really. If I did my job like you all I would be fired.

PS3 purchase here

I purchased my PS3 here after I saw the bundle advertised for $200. The customer service was great, despite it being the afternoon of Black Friday, and I felt it was a great deal for what I got. I don't normally find deals at Best Buy, but they had a great in-stock selection and tons of people on the floor to help!

Give them something to do

At service desk there is an employee who was only handling store pick-up. I was in line waiting for service by two very busy associates. Line kept getting longer and longer behind me, your service desk did a great job assisting. However, there was a lot of lag time in between anybody at the pick up counter and this employee could have been extremely helpful with guest services. It would have been a better use of wages paid out.

all the bestbuy stores are too noisey in NORTH CAROLINA,SOUTH CAROLINA,GEORGIA,TENNESSEE,ALABAMA,FLORIDA,PEOPLE IN MID 35-70 DONT LIKE ALL THE LOUD NOISE IN THESE STORES,BESTBUY NEEDS TO REALIZE THE OLDER FOLKS ARE THE CUSTOMER WHO HAVE MORE MONEY TO SPEND IN THEIR STORES AND SHOP MAINLY IN BRICK AND MORTAR STORES,WHILE YOUNG PEOPLE WHO HAVE ANY MONEY SHOP ON LINE 90 PERCENT OF THE TIME.I HAVE BEEN IN CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR OVER 35 YEARS AND BESTBUY ONCE THEIR PROFITS TO IMPROVE,THEN THEY BETTER TURN THE NOISE DOWN IN THE STORES WHERE PEOPLE CAN HEAR THE STORE ASSOCIATES WHEN THEY ARE BEING ASKED QUESTIONS ABOUT PRODUCTS,HUBERT JOLY THE PRESIDENT YOU BETTER HEAR THIS BECAUSE I KNOW YOU WANT TO TURN THIS COMPANY AROUND,!!!!!!!!!!!

Just as the name implies

Best Buy can always be relied on for its electronics. I once took my Nintendo Wii in for checkups, they saved me dozens of dollars that I would have had to pay had I sent it in to Nintendo.

Good service

My local Best Buys are great (there are three of them in the area). The sales associates at Best Buy are not on commission, so they are not as pushy as other sales people in the industry. I have gone in before just to ask a question and they were very patient and helpful. It seems like people have negative experiences every now and then but it is not usually due to the associates, it is due to normal policies that have been put in place either by the store or by the manufacturers.

zipper a back. Then the light engine went out on the 52" Mitsubushi DLP TV. This costs $700.00 dollars for parts and labor an took 1 month to get part and schedule the repair. After that two more bulbs burned out at 600 and 900 hours. The last straw was after those repairs the chassis circuit board failed at a repair costs of $675.00. I refused to fix the TV because I knew something else would fail and just costs me more no tv. Go on Google and look up Mitsubushi TV problems. I filed a complaint.

Back in 2005 I purchased a Mitsubushi DLP HDTV 52"at Best Buy. I only bought the TV because of Mitsubushi's good car quality reputation. That was the biggest mistake I made in my life. I found out after the one year warranty of flawless performance and dependability the illuminating bulb that lights the screen burned out prematurely at 1000 hours instead of lasting 2000 hours.
I called Best Buy customer service and was on hold for 2 hours before my call was answered. They told me I had to call Mitsubushi customer relations/service and order a replacement bulb. When I called Mitsubushi I was on hold for another 1 1/2 hours until a person answered. They said my warranty expired after a year so I had to pay for the bulb which costs $262.00. They also told me that I should have a authorized Mitsubushi TV service repair tech install the bulb because it could start a fire in the TV if improperly installed by someone else. This installation charge was a $100.00. Now the bulb repair was$362.00. I said ok that wasn't too bad of repair costs.
Then it failed again after only 700 hours of use. That was not good as Mitsubushi would't stand by honoring a replacement free of charge. More later------.

Always Meets My Needs

Best Buy is most definitely the top electronics superstore in America. At best but you can get almost anything technological you can think of, and with killer prices. I must say I am a bit of a tech nerd, and find myself wandering in to Best Buy on an almost weekly basis. If I ever need to buy something electronic I always go to Best Buy. They have a reliable, knowledgeable team that will answer any questions that might arise while you are there, plus they have the geek squad to fix any of your computer related issues. What could be better than that? Well I would give this store five stars, but I had an incident with them years ago. I brought my emachines desktop in to get the ram upgraded by the geek squad. When I brought it back home it would not turn on. When I took it back, they could not figure out the problem. After close observation, they found out my computer was not capable of upgrading to the size of ram they had put in it. Their was no harm done, so I haven't really counted it against them.

Avoid this company at all costs

I went to Best Buy one time and that was it. They could not even find the power button to turn the computer on. All I wanted them to do was sell me a wireless USB they went to great lengths to give me 15 minutes free then were going to charge me for one hour to look at it to see if they could find a driver for the installed Network Card I explained to them Win 7 did not have an upgrade yet for my card. They insisted they could find it I stated just sell me a USB wireless device so I can go home. Never again. John

Best Buy

I used to not really care for Best Buy, pushy sales people who work on comission and unreal high prices. Now they do occasionally have sales and better yet price match. Holidays aside it is normally much easier to get in and out of Best buy, but you need to go in knowing what you want and not need help. While the staff is has a fair amount of knowledge, they still get paid commission and will try to sell you things you don't need in order to pad their check. Reasearch what you want and go in with a mission.

Helpful staff, when you can trip one...

For the most part I have had nice representatives/sales reps at Best Buy, but they are very hard to snag! They seem to be few and far between. After you hunt around for a while and find one they are usually on a mission to find something out for another customer and will have you wait. The waiting for the rep to finish their task in progress is not the problem! Once they are done they usually have three to five people running at them, so they forget you.
