I'm so glad I have charter. I used to have a differnt provider but my bill kept going up. With charter my bill is always the same low price. Wow, the Internet is speed is fast. The phone is crystal clear & my picture is great. Thanx charter!

Charter has been NOTHING but a headache for me!!!! I pay for channels I do not receive--my internet goes out randomly (I teach online) --my phone sometimes forgets to work--I have no other option but Charter in the area I stay--It sucks!!!!

Not impressed

I used this service when I moved to go to a university where Charter was the only available TV/Internet. I was not impressed! The channel variety was terrible, and the customer service was not the best. I had to return my cable box TO THEM, instead of them picking it up! The internet was alright and the prices weren't terrible, but I wouldn't have used them if I had the choice!

5 years later

I've had charter for 5 yrs and overall I've enjoyed my service. the people in the over the phone customer service are great. they do there best to help you out and make you feel like your business is wanted. have no plans to leave charter in the near future.

Nice bundle bad moving policies

When had Charter I loved the internet/phonw/cable package it was aordableand very eficient. I had this for three years and then when I moved and closed my account with them thye suddenly sent me a bill or 700 dollars I am still not sure what for as I was paid up and returned the equipment but I refuse to pay for something I dont oe and feel that is very underhanded of them

Stay Away.

Having charter Internet, cable & telephone was a horrible experience for me. Slow connections several outages that take sometimes over a day to be fixed. When trying to contact a representative with problems, I would be put on hold several times.

Just isn't my cup of tea.

Charter is stupidity personified.

Have been with Charter for about 3 years. The salesmen will cheat you. I signed up for one service that a salesman offered me at a bargain price of $5.00 for promotion. The next month I asked why my bill was so high because I'd signed up for the promotional rate. They replied that that rate (at the time I signed was at the end of it's run and that I only had 20 days left at the time I agreed to it. In another, more recent, case: when switching from Digital to HD, the salesman took 40 minutes (saying he was trying to get me discounts) all the while actually trying to force additional charges into the computer.

Charge for service calls appears on the bill whether valid or not, and have to be forced off the bill. Was disconnected twice for no reason and was billed the mandatory $30.00 repair visit to reconnect.

Took next to 8 months to get Charter Internet to function (almost) properly. Finally ended up canceling that service.

When going to their Service Center there is invariably a line and the service reps are irritable, slow, and cavalier.

When calling, the computer call routing is sometimes faulty or unresponsive. It seems that none of the persons one finally reaches will own the problem but will explain to you their job requirements.

The king of all.......was sent a survey by customer service. After taking the time to select the choices and writing comments. THERE WAS NO WAY TO TRANSMIT THE SURVEY NACK TO CHARTER! If you've chosen this company be prepared for frustration, ON STEROIDS.

Inferior company

My personal experience with Charter extends only to its cable TV service -- although its reputation for customer service in all areas is abysmal. Charter's technical support is laughable: the representative is usually clueless, and will likely waste your time with wrong instructions, or schedule a service call when none is really needed. Another annoyance is that the local office is inaccessible by phone.

I live in an apartment complex and they cut off my cable by mistake. I have to wait for them to schedule me an appointment tomorrow to have it cut back on. I was shocked, that was their mistake. The on call should have taken care of this, since it was their fault.
