Needed assistance as online site was not working

The Citibank online site was not working and I had a time sensitive check I needed to get out. After waiting less than 2 minutes (great by today's standards) I was assisted by Stephanie who got my acct info & sent out the check. She was friendly, quite competent & offered to do more checks if needed (which there weren't). I was very satisfied with the service I received! Thank you, Stephanie.

Service beyond expectation?

I loved Citibank. I have used it for almost two decades. It never failed to assist me, and I am very thankful for that.
However, this January 2013, my card is about to expire. I called the 1800 number shown on their site here in the Philippines for a replacement. They promised to send me a new one within 2 to 5 days. Four weeks had passed and 4 times I called them, it never arrived.
The service is beyond my expectation! They never did this before. A new card normally arrives before the card expires without calling them. I was expecting the same but I never thought it would come to this.
They have already billed me for the renewal, but my old card has already been blocked! What will I use?
The people on the other line that I talked to are dumb to ask so many questions when they all do is just tell me a lot of alibis why did this happen. Every time I call them, they tell me another reason for the delay - they said they sent the card on December 2012, but when i asked why did they not tell me during my first call - they gave me another reason - that there are problems with the courier blah. . blah. . . blah. . . On January 28, 2013 I called them again and was told that the replacement is still with the courier. . I told them that "if the card won't arrive this week, I will cancel my account. Other banks had been courting me, but I never transferred. I only have one credit card and this is CITIBANK. It has been my loyal ally for may years. Maybe this time, it is time to change.

STUPID PEOPLE

I had a credit card stolen in 2007, today they sent me 100 copies of a debt, that is not mine. They sold it to five different collection agencies, and I told each one the debt was not mine. I have had the same phone number and address for 18 years, but they decided to ignore my requests to take this stolen credit card out of my name. What they do is find another collection agency to buy the account. When I called today today they kept hanging up on me. I called the number above and kept hitting ZERO, until a kind woman said the people holding my account was in India and I had to call them from 12 NOON and 3PM, but she had no idea what time it was India. but, I just had to keep calling them until they were in the office.

CitBank/CitiMortgage is inept

CitiMortgage has my second mortgage, and has misapplied my monthly payments for years to only interest payments, when my mortgage is a 30 year principle and interest loan.
They refuse to give me a loan activiety statement, yet my principle balance has been the same for the past four years. They finally modified my loan, however they are still applying my payments to only interest, and to the old loan. They are threatening foreclosure and acceleration of my loan. Dean Ash is my Home Support Specialest, and he does not answer phone calls nor emails.

CITI Bank Cancellation of Debt- Identity Theft & Suicide

4 years ago my husband of 25 years committed suicide, he left suicide notes one in which he stated that he had used my information without my knowledge to open many accounts. I have 5 children and had to deal with countless issues surrounding his death. Settling nearly $100,000 of debt he took out in my name was nearly a full time job for the next 2 years. Most of the credit card companies accepted the death certificate, suicide note, police report number but not CITI! They then turned it over to the Hounds of Hell Debt Collectors who called and harassed myself and my children on a daily basis. Necessitating me to disconnect my landline. Of course this adversely affects my credit score also. So this year I received a Form 1099-C Cancelation of Debt form from CITI bank and learned that I was to pay taxes on it as this is considered income. So in protesting and disputing this I have talked to the Police, the Attorney General's Office and finally noticed a number (800) 846-8444- Internal Recovery on the Form 1099-C. I called this number and reached a terrible connection to India- of which I could barely understand the gal. After being on hold she told me to fax a copy of the 1099-C to this number 877-825-1726 and I would receive a fax acknowledgement of it's receipt & and it would be taken care of. I faxed as I was told, and received no acknowledgement, the following day I faxed again with a Coversheet stating that I would like an acknowledgement of receipt of the Fax I received nothing. So today I called the number that was on this review 800-756-7318 and as the person who posted it said- I kept hitting 0 and FINALLY spoke with a gal who spoke English and who was very pleasant to deal with she tried the number I gave her- which had to do with Identity Theft and concluded they couldn't help. She then put me through to a man in India again-poor connection, difficult to understand. Of course again I have to go through the entire history and he proceeded to ask me about employment etc. which I refused to answer as all I was trying to do was to find out if the fax had been received and all the information they had for me was never what I had given them. He then told me that they had received both of the faxes but it would take 7 to 14 days for them to be evaluated, when I asked why I hadn't received an acknowledgement of receipt of the form he said that they don't do that. He said to call back in 7 days for the decision. When I asked him if I didn't have the number he had just given me to call him back how would I know I was to call? (BTW if this helps the number is 888-891-2873 IRU Dept.) He said he would have to direct me to someone else to answer my question!!!!! What an ongoing nightmare!!!!
I still have no answer, and as far as I am concerned CITI Bank is in league with the Devil and I will NEVER want to have any dealings with them- apparently they can lie, deceive, & harass and I'm the one who pays for it in everyway!

Citicard is a bunch of fraudulant jerks

I have a canceled account with an outstanding balance, which i have set up on payment arrangemments. We called today to find out the balance and find out when the arrangements will be sufficient. We have been put on hold, transferred to numbers that have been disconnected, been hung up on, talked over, called liars and cheats, and just plain been treated like dirt. I will NEVER, EVER have an account with Citi again. They are frauds and don't care about anything but the bottom line. Small bank services are the way to go.

$0.70 past due and $151.37 in late charges on a Citibank deferred student loan

I left college in 2008 and found employment in October. I had requested income sensitive repayment and was hit with $500 per month in charges for two loans. I requested multiple times that the amount be reduced in 2009 and 2010, and was refused an adjustment. But, the Citi-person was happy to put me in deferment.I repeatedly told the people I spoke with that I did not want a deferment. I now owe $10,000 more than when I started.

Is jacking up the amount owed by students through refusal to negotiate an income sensitive payment a policy of Citibank. If so they the bank is perpetrating an injustice. I see a class action law suit in the making; I suspect I am not the only one.

Rotten customer service and their call center is at best inept, at worst trying to dump problems on customer via "stalling". Got frozen out of my account via "14 day validation period" after changing e-mail address, called, got dropped after 20 mins., called again, got transferred 2 times and the last rep ended up trying to solve "transaction charges" problem for me that I had and was surprised about the real problem. The Citi acts like it has not slept in a week.

Are you citi bank proud of it? Or do you prefer ur credit card customers to withgraw?
I do not expect such a poor customer satisfaction rating.
