sep 2016 i have problem with i channel almost 20 channel and i call them and dispude case so many time but not fixed ,i tell every customer please donts take directv service servic is bad still after 5 month still i have same problem

I've been with DirecTV for 12 years, every year they've increase my payments, this year they increased it by $41, every time you talk to them they usually wind up lyning about something, I've had enough I'm cutting the cord, 10/26/17. Rip direct tv. You've lost 32% of your customers this year so far.

I have had Direct TV for 2 years only because of Astro Baseball, but honestly it is not worth it. When it only sprinlkles rain or a little breeze blows it goes out for hours. when bad weather is coming and we need to know what we need to do, there is no TV or weather stations or anything!! What do you suggest. Cant live with this any longer. At least cable TV is always on all the time. Dont think sport channel is worth it. Could be a danger to us when bad weather!

I have had this service since March, big mistake. It has never worked right yet. Goes out with 771 message at least twice a week. I've had cables replaced nad the Genie replaced. Still does not work right. I am at a loss of what to do .

Good job weather nation !! some people say they do not do local weather, well I live in Owensbugh Ky. They showed pictures of my very small community, I can not call it a town due to it's size. Not only did they show snow pictures but gave us a 10 day outlook.
Weather Nation says weather pure and simple, way to go guys, finally Direct TV got it right.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!

I was watching the Denver Broncos game - screen goes black - the higher channels work the once channel I have been wanting to watch all day has dropped off the network. I have been on hold for over 30 minutes listening to stupid music!!! I am not impressed!!!

Direct tv is just terrible, if I knew it was going to go out every time it rained, I never never would have gotten it. Just now lost it, over a bit of wind. I will tell anyone I know to not get direct tv, comcast may be a bit more, but at least on those rainy days when you can't be outside.....you can at least watch tv! Now I'm stuck with it for 2yrs, yay

When we signed up for your service, it was because you had HOTPASS for the Nascar races. And that is the only reason why we changed. We also find the way you have the guide set up its very loaded with pay per view stuff and is irritating to have to scroll through. Our contract is supposed to end in Nov. Weve paid our bills and not only have you taken away the reason why we changed in losing Hot pass. You've jacled out bill up way passed what I paid with dish and I was promised we would never pay more.
We want out of contract based on the facts you changed the product and the cost.

Wouldn't you think directv could at least provide PGA coverage for a couple of hours on the golf channel on Monday when weather delays completion on Sunday?
Oh yeah that's right; you provide it on a 9" screen on sports mix channel! I mean its not like your getting ridiculous price for way too many "selling" channels or any thing like that!
Oh wait I know your solution: upgrade service by $$$ to include golf channel! For me (and many others) you and your service really sux!

WATCH OUT! This company promises you a consistant monthly bill. Then they add fees for '24 hour' technical assistance and warranty w/o letting you know...I recomend watching your monthly bill, especially if you fell for the 'auto debt' to save 10 a month.

Excellent value but iffy customer service

I've been with DirecTV now for 3 months after switching from Charter cable. I'm saving considerably on the cost, which apparently has been lowered in the last 2 or 3 years. And you can save an additional ten dollars per bill by agreeing to an automatic monthly charge to your credit card. You can chop even more off your bill with the company's referral program.

Aside from price, I've found DirecTV with its new "Genie" system to be far more useful than my Charter cable system. Many more channels are available with DirecTV's basic "Entertainment" package, and many more of these are available in HD. The DVR allows me to record more overlapping shows. I can set a recording to automatically finish one or two minutes after the scheduled end of the show (or later), so I'll never miss the show's real end. And the recording capacity is much more than I could ever need.

Technical support by phone is generally good, although other customer service can be frustrating. Be aware however that after the first 3 months you'll pay a stiff fee if you need a service call (regardless of fault), unless you've purchased the company's insurance.

Who decides your programming?...I would, for once, like to see something worth watching...I am so very sick of info-commercials...they pay you to air their ads and we have to pay you to watch them...they take up sooooooo much of your programming...it leaves you NOTHING to watch late at night and some of your consumers don't have many entertainment choices...I just wish someone, someday, would forget greed for a moment and think of the people that use your services...

They useTheworst laziest dish installers

The neighbors had their new dish installed the other day and the installer wouldn't put it where they suggested cuz he would need to unload his ladder. Instead he installed it on a post above our fence blocking the Puget sound and Olympic view. We don't live in sound view terrace for nothing!

Harassment and I'm not even a customer.I will NEVER use their service.

Got a new phone and number in November. Immediately started getting robo calls from their collections department about what I guess is the previous owner of my phone number. I have no acct info to enter into the automated system and apparently no way of navigating to a human to stop the harassment. I might now have to contact my attorney generals office just to get action from a company I have never done business with and now for sure never will. Today's lesson: port your phone number.

Difference between cable & directv. Why when I turn on my set I get a picture and no sound for about 5 seconds, then screen goes black and after about 5 seconds picture returns with sound. Also, why when I change channels or use previous button I get a black screen for about 5 seconds before I get a picture. Also, a very important item that you don't tell people is that many of my programs that I use to watch at 8pm are now on at 5pm and we are not always home at that time. Why can't the Pacific Time Zone have a feed that is compatible with our schedules.Larry

After less then one year into our contract with directtv we have decide to just save time and headache by just paying the remaining balance of our two year contract to stop service with this company.
Now that we have decided to finish out this month they have went ahead and pulled all the channels.

Only good to you when they want money

I used them when I was in the US.
They're good at start, welcoming you to their service, but if you was to report a fault, it takes time to repair! anything that means them losing you as a customer, they try to make it harder for you! I found out that my bank account back in the US was still being used by them even though I cancelled it!

FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF

HAVE HAD DIRECT TV LESS THAN A YEAR AND
90 PERCENT OF THE CHANNELS ARE TRYING TO SELL YOU SOMETHING OR CRAP NOBODY WANTS TO WATCH. WHEN INSTALLED THEY INSTALLED A CABLE BOX THAT WAS NOT HD COMPATABLE AND NOW THAT WE HAVE A NEW TV THEY WANT $200 TO COME OUT AND CHANGE THE CABLE BOX. I THINK THIS IS A SCAM SINCE YOU CANNOT BUY A TV NOW THAT IS NOT HD SO THEY PUT IN THE OBSELETE BOX KNOWING THAT THEY WILL GET YOU LATER FOR ANOTHER $200+. WE ARE SENIORS AND FEEL TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF. ALL I KNOW IS YOU BETTER NOT BUY STOCK IN THIS COMPANY BECAUSE THEY WILL NOT BE AROUND LONG. NOT ABOUT CUSTOMERS - JUST GREED.

I just heard the ceo of directv commenting on holding down a rate increase. My comment to this is, don't bother. My husband and I are increasingly becoming exacerbated about the programming that they offer. Many re-runs that we have seen over and over again. Sometimes showing the same movie in more than one station. We feel that we are bing ripped off. How many more times do we have to see the I love lucy show and the golden girls, etc. The good thing is, that we won't take it any longer. We will cancel. I know some of them are wholesome shows. We are just plain fed up. Offer something different for a change. Those greedy ceo's just can't get enough. Times are hard for most folks, and I can't see spending my hard earned money watching re-runs. Thank you for allowing me to post this comment. I don't mean to be negative

What is going on.This is ridicules i have been with Direct TV for the longest and since i started with this company i have been seeing that i started paying $70.00 dollars now i pay close to $100.00 and for what.We have been getting more and more channels and good ones taken off this doesn't make any sense.When is this going to stop.Being greedy is not the answer you will lose many customer's at the rate that your going.That is why Comcast and other services are losing customers and i am sure that this will happen with Direct TV.I for one will also drop this company if this continues.I have a question to ask.Does this mean that if channels are removed are you going to lower what we pay? or are you going to charge the same.Because when the other channels were removed i didn't see no difference.

Consumer be very, very wary

Try to make this short. Googled Directv and called the toll free number. Routed to a 3rd party company called DWS or something Satelitte out of Texas. Spoke with a Bob Allen. Wanted Directv and bundle package but was very, very clear that did NOT want to go through with this if I could not get Directv because of large trees. No problem Bob assured me. Boy was he helpful and easy going...telling me over, and over, and over that ALL monies would be returned to me. He took my credit card info and set everything up (Directv and landline/internet bundle with At&t). Tech guy comes out, takes one look and says 'Nope, you don't have a direct sight line.' He cancels the order, he has me on the phone with someone who cancels the order (another 3rd party provider - you will never, ever know with whom you are doing business with). Next day I start to call to make certain all is cancelled...two hours out of my work day, spoke to perhaps eight or nine folks, had to call my credit card to put them on alert. When I called Directv, they said to call this 3rd party provider that THEY routed me to. And no, they didn't know who to speak with. Finally get the 3rd party provider and they transfer me. Call back to speak with mgr - he won't speak with me. I think I finally got what I needed. Last call was to a young woman at the 3rd party providers place and at the end I said 'Let me ask you this - you sound like a nice young woman. Do you have any misgivings or bad feelings about how the people in your company to business? How they take money from honest folks looking for product only to be swindled?" Her reply, which I think speaks volumes about Directv, Bob Allen, DWS and Satellie whatever... "Ma'm I'm afraid I have no thoughts at all about that."

very dissatisfied

The Direct TV sales rep inside the Best Buy store in Prescott Arizona (who is no longer with them) assured us that it was possable to 'pause live TV' on every TV in the house,...which is what we could do with Dish Network,...but what he failed to tell us, and we didn't find out until it was to late, is that you can "ONLY" pause live TV on the TV where the Direct TV DVR console/receiver is set up. You need to have a DVR console/receiver on every TV that you wish to pause live TV. This was the most important feature to us, as we watch just as much TV in our bedrooms as we do the family room. We will never recommend Direct TV to any of our friends and we will be switching back to Dish network as soon as our 2 year 'RIP-OFF' contract with Direct TV has expired.

Sales pitch and customer service

We were quoted a price by their sales dept

and now it a different price. We have also had to deal with customer service after changing our equipment and can't get the same answer with multiple calls. Have been on the phone for hours with these people and still get no answers. They want us to return the equipment but they can't seem to get any boxes to us so we can ship them back. When out contract is up we will be changing our service. Very poor customer service.

Terrible customer service well just terrible in general

I switched to Directtv 6 months ago and what an experience. I thought Time Warner was bad, what a joke. My box went out and they sent me another one and it is doing the same thing and they want $ 199 to upgrade to a hd dvr box which they said i wouldnt have to pay for.When you call customer service they suck! You never get the same answer from anyone and i asked to speak to a supervisor 6 times and they all have a different story. need some new training and listen to your customers or you wont be in business very long. Of course your CEO is probably making 20 million a year and dont give a damm about the so called 30 million SATISFIED customers. From these reviews your loosing them fast

The ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEAL'T WITH!

I have never been so disgusted with a "Company Policy"! They do not stand by their installers (or so- called), They try to make you think they are resolving an issue, and I am living proof, it is a total LIE! They wish I would go away with THEIR problems. I am calling an attorney, and they must think I'm kidding! Give me back my money that I was scammed out of! Take off your lousy Satellite and draping cables before somebody kills themselves on my property and you feel it where it hurts! Obviously, you care NOTHING about customer satisfaction. I am calling the news, consumer affairs and the newspaper next. I still don't get the feeling they care. If they think I'll get tired before them, think again, I am for the little guy. Billing errors

Terrible billing department. They do not coordinate with the installation/order department. Every monthly bill is different.Unable to resolve
any billing errors.They blame the promotions or sales reps for all the errors. Virtually impossible to discuss any matter rationally or obtain any satisfaction.

I have been with Direct for over 5 years and have always been taken care of when I had a problem. Sure it's a hassel going through the automated crap at first but if you keep pushing 0 you will get someone on the line pretty quick. Also the tech support team has always been helpful. I guess it depends on the customer service rep or tech you speak with and how much knowlege they have. If your unhappy hang up and call back until you get someone that knows what they're talking about.

I don't like the way directv handles ordering ppv movies, they only last 24 hrs when they should last at least 3 days,actually u should b able to record it and keep it like it use to be. Customers who Have been with u a long a long time don't get any good deals but new customers get all the great deals. Im just about ready to switch if something doesn't change!!!

So yes, I was charged to move my service 3 blocks away ($218) and then they mounted the Dish on the side of my house without asking me first (then they took that one out and mounted it again in another spot) i have 5 holes in my siding now because they did not test for a signal first. Also, the basic package, without anything special, is more expensive than anything I have seen elsewhere. OH! they also said that it would be like 80 buck to put a box in the loft. And why does COMCAST only charge 20 bucks to move the internet? Cannot wait to change over

Last Friday night (3/26/11), I called Direct TV b/c my HD DVR was no longer working properly and would not record programs while watching another. I first spoke with Troy in the Oregon customer service center. He was helpful, jovial and tried to assist. I was cut off unfortuantely and had to call back when I got very nice girl working from home in Longview. She tried to resolve my problem but was unable to and advised that we would have to set up a service call. I called back to get assistance in setting up one of my guest room regular receiver snd that is when I got Justin on the phone. Granted, I was irritated b/c I had been on the phone for 2 hours and no resolution and I had a house guest from Sweden who was here to play golf and when he wasn't playing golf, he wanted to watch the Golf Channel (in HD!). Justin was smug, rude and really seemed to want to stick to the customer. His Direct TV ID is 25520 and if Direct TV reads their reviews, I hope that they will pull his call log from about 10:15 last Friday 3/26/11 to see what type of service and attitude he is providing their customers.

Direct TV advertises a referral program that will give the person referring a $100 credit. My son wanted me to get Direct TV and gave me his account number in order to get the credit. I gave the information to the store I was buying Direct TV from and was told I would have to contact Direct. They set up the account but once that was completed I was told my son could not receive the credit. They informed me that it had to be completed at time of purchase. I feel like my son got screwed out of his referral and as soon as my contract is up I will not be renewing it. I will definitely not be referring anyone to buy Direct TV if they do not stand behind their advertisements.

According to Troubleshooters, weather may affect service "rarely" and only "for a minute." Wrong on both counts. Service goes out with the slightest wind or rain, and stays out for considerable lengths of time. I only got DirecTv after Katrina because the cable was out for a time. But I'm going back to cable - at least a hurricane comes only every year. But it rains a lot in NO.

I will never get locked into another contract with ignorant, less than minimum wage employees, and have the worst customer service company again. I communicated full details in a low voice and in the background there are laughter...small conversation and the representative can't find anything to support my "rebate" issue. Yes, I never received a rebate and have email verification for rebate. I talked to the representative for over an hour and I want to scream for the lack of communication and ignorance that they display. Direct TV needed to be evaluated and penalized for their service. My thought is within a short period of time there will be a class action law suit. They are very quick to take your money and like many peopl said in previous rants, don't want to credit the account. A BONAFIDE BULLY!!!
