Days Inn Reviews

.... July 12th, 2017

Just completed a stay at the Days Inn Englewood located at 9719 East Geddes Ave. My stay was on 7/10/17 and 7/11/17. Walking into this motel there is a weird smell, like something spoiled. The smell increases in the elevator. I arrived at room 208 and was over powered by the smell of cirigette smoke. It was late at night and I thought I would tough it out. What a mistake, the smell only got worse during the night. The next night I requested a room change and was given room 306. The air conditioning didn't work. The desk reassigned me to room 118. This room looks like something from a third world country. The carpet is heavy stained and looks gross to walk on. The lights are dim and upon looking at them they have a nasty brown stain. The Sheetrock is rotted about one inch from the floor in the bathroom and has heavy brown mold growing. The smoke detector is missing and wires hang out the wall where it once was. The bed is liking sleeping on an old down pillow with multiple things sticking you all through the night.
This room win as the worst I have ever seen. Days Inn should be ashamed to have their name on this motel

We just stayed at a Days Inn in Statesville, N. Carolina. It is a place I would not want to put my name on unless you want a bad reputation. I don't mind rundown, I know people are hard on motels but, filthy dirty is another thing. You really need to inspect places that bear your name. It's a disgrace. On top of that they charged us $15.00 extra cause we have a dog. I wouldn't even let her lay on the floor, it was that dirty. So cleaning fee of $15.00. What a joke. Check out the reviews on trip advisor. Wish I had.

We booked your hotel though our local AAA in Phoenix, Arizona back in August 2016 for our trip we were planning.

We arrived at the Days Inn & Suites in Kanab, Utah at 5:00 p.m. with a reservation. The gentlemen checked us in and we asked if we could have a ground floor room, since we knew you didn't have an elevator and my Husband has problems with steps. He was very helpful and got us a ground floor room after moving some people around. We were very grateful that he could help us with that problem.

Once we got into the room this is what we experienced:
'¢ Rust in the sink.
'¢ Mildew around the tub and shower curtain.
'¢ Toilet tank cover didn't fit and was overhanging.
'¢ When you flushed the toilet the sound was loud.
'¢ Wall above the toilet had some kind of black stuff smeared on the wall.
'¢ Went to close our curtains the rod was broken so we pulled it with our hands and dust came out everywhere.
'¢ When we turned on the A/C dust came out and the filter was extremely dirty
'¢ Light bulb was blown out on the lamp on the end table.
'¢ The other end table when we went to move it to plug our phones in there was all kinds of things, wrappers and dirt.
'¢ There was a pretty large hole in the ceiling near the bed.
'¢ Wallpaper behind the bed was coming down, so someone patched it and it was still coming down.
'¢ In the pool area, there was dirty towels on the ground around the pool, whiling it was raining outside. Looks like they were there for more than a day.

If we could have, we would have checked out and gone to another hotel, but after checking on two others, there was no vacancy. The hotel was also the second most expensive one on our trip.

The next morning we went to check out and the woman at the desk didn't ask how our stay was like all the other nine (9) previous hotels did. So we told her about our experience in room 114 and she said I'll tell maintenance. She didn't even bother to write down anything, so it seemed to us like she knew of these problems and didn't care.

This trip was a three (3) week planned vacation leaving from our home in Phoenix, Arizona to the Courtyard Marriott in Palm Springs, California, to the Clarion Hotel in Bakersfield, California, to the Quality Inn in Petaluma, California, to the Comfort Inn in Eureka, California, to the Holiday Inn Express in Newport, Oregon, to the Boreas Bed & Breakfast in Long Beach, Washington, to the Comfort Suites in Hood River, Oregon, to the Northwest Lodge in Boise, Idaho, to the Best Western Plus Canyon Pines in Ogden, Utah, the to your Days Inn & Suites in Kanab, Utah and then the final stop was Harrah's in Laughlin, Nevada.

I had the worst experience at one of your hotels in 2606 Whitesville Rd, LaGrange, GA 30240. The hotel was so filthy and infested with roaches. My original room had dead roaches on the sink like the room hadn't been cleaned and roaches crawling on the wall. I asked for a refund but the front desk person said that he wasn't authorized to issue a refund. He did try to reach his supervisor but was not successful in doing so. The front desk person switched my room to accommodate me. That hotel gives Days Inn a bad name. I hope Corporate really take our comments serious.

My son and grandchildren stated at the Days Inn @ 2109 Belmont Drive, Richmond KY. The breakfast food was old and when my youngest grandchild went to get apple juice and bugs came out into her glass. this is the worst experience. I have stayed at other Days Inns and never had this problem. I would not recommend anyone to stay at that hotel.

This Days Inn is a joke. Send to them more money to repair this place. The roof shingles are bad. The laundry room needs to be torn down and replaced. You need to send someone here to look at this dump.

horrible

I stayed at the Days Inn Easton, MD from 6/25-6/28. The room was a disaster. The most MAJOR infraction which alone could, and should get this place fined if not shut down was the non-functioning smoke detector which was literally hanging off wires from the wire. In addition, the safety lock was hanging off 2 stripped screws, the shower (which had a sign taped on the outside "do not get in shower without placing rubber mat in floor of tub first" and yep, you guessed it..no rubber mat in the room and none available at the front desk. My first shower I took, as I was shutting the curtain, the shower rod was apparently came loose and one end of the rod gashed my forehead. My second shower, I fell and hit the back of my head. I made SAM, apparently the manager, aware of the aforementioned information on DAY 1 and I was told he would get all repairs done the very next day. Nothing was fixed during the entire stay and I made SAM aware of this each day. No housekeeping was done the entire stay also, I mean come on! Of note, I had planned to stay at this facility for THREE MONTHS during my travel nurse assignment in Easton. After night 3, I decided to check out and kindly asked for a refund due to all the things I mentioned. I was rudely told by SAM that no refund would be given and the reason no repairs were done was "I acted like it was no big deal". Seriously? I have attempted to contact customer service 6 times and each time was on hold for over 20 minutes with no option of leaving a message. I then attempted to contact the corporate office 3 times, was given the option by automated voice, to leave a message. Yep, "mailbox is full and you are unable to leave a message at this time". This occurred all 3 times with the corporate office. I have now contacted the consumer protection agency to report (at the very least) the smoke alarm violation. I will fight until I can fight no more, for the refund of the worst waste of 200$ I have ever spent. I strongly recommend for Wyndham, the managing company to contact me as soon as possible to get this resolved. Once the consumer protection agency gets involved, it goes to the attorney general...and nobody wants that, do we?

Days Inn Shreveport. 4935 West Monkhouse Drive.... Is nothing more than a seedy dump of a motor inn.
I had thought better but no more.
No waste basket.
No toilet tissue. No television.
No A/C or heat. Only cold air blowing from unit.
It seems you need to investigate and replace the management post haste.
Upon arrival more than one person hanging around said inn hit me up for cigarettes... I'm not a smoker of cigarettes.
Very annoying to say the least. I did not enjoy my stay at this location. Please correct this situation.... sincerely Robert Seitz.

My husband and I were in Albuquerque from Colorado visiting family for Christmas. We stayed in room 114 at the Days Inn on Hotel circle. in Albuquerque NE.

It was a pretty disappointing stay to say the least. I thought that it would be good because it had the Days Inn name. The first thing I noticed was the old, floral, stained, gross bed spread. It was nothing like the pictures posted by "management" on various web pages.

The heater/AC/Fan unit made a horrible high pitched noise that made it very hard to sleep.

The room was not clean. Examples include, floor corners, mirrors, the gross bed spread, and the toothpaste (?) stain on the wall "artwork."

There is no clock in the room.
The television does not go below 11 volume. The two towels are very rough, small, and of poor quality. Breakfast consists of cold cereal, yogurt, and/or toast.

Please, for the sake of future customers and the reputation of the Days Inn name, fix these problems at this location.

All I will say is the Days Inn at orange ave in Roanoke, Va. had bugs in floor, mold on walls and toliet overflowed on one flush. They should be shut down. I have always been pleased with Days Inn until now.

Dear sir:

On Monday, September 14, I was driving south on US 26 from North Carolina to Florida. Around 6:30 pm, I stopped off at Clinton, South Carolina for the night and to watch Monday Night Football. After checking in, I went to supper and then to the room. The room was small, dingy, and relatively dirty. The TV would not work. I moved to another room which was just as bad. The TV also did not work. I moved the alarm clock and there were two bed bugs under it.

I returned to the office to check out and slipped on a puddle of water on the floor and almost fell down.

Days Inn is my motel of preference. I have never experienced such rooms in over 40 years of traveling.

I continued down US 26 to Newberry where there was another Days Inn. In contrast, the room was spacey, clean, and superior. The staff were friendly and helpful. After checking in, I was able to watch the 2nd quarter.

I strongly recommend that the Clinton Days Inn be reviewed and their franchise revoked. It was a disgrace.

I recently stayed at the days inn Ann Arbor, MI. I have to say this was the dirtiest rundown hotel I've ever stayed in. There was mold on the walls and in the bathroom. Wall paper was falling off the walls. Spider webs in all corners. Rooms and hallways smelled like mold. I talked to the from office and they said sorry this is what it is. I took pictures!

Days inn on Ridge on Cincinnati should be shut down. Its remodeled and filled with cheap gross non working equiptment. The FRESHLY made bed had PUBIC HAIR in it as did the restroom. The nonworking showerhead had a gross layer of lime scale. Did I mention the SHOWER DIDNT WORK. The clerk then says at 5 a.m. "I willcall maintenance. THey will come in a feew hours" wtf? Its just gross!! The ancient vending machines eat yout money and then you have to WAIT to gey your money back. The beds have stains and are made of bricks. Just DONT. Do noy stay here. The most unhospitable hotel ever.

Nasty & Outdated

Late night after a festival in Blue Ridge,GA we got a room at the Days Inn. It has a AAA rating on the office door and it is almost midnight. We get into room 105 and it smells bad and it is the very dirty and the furniture is so outdated that the wood finish has disappeared. There is mold in bathroom. TV doesn't work. The Indian lady from office brings remote and I ask if there are any other rooms available, and she said they are all like this one. AAA apparently needs to make an inspection. This is disgusting and certainly doesn't need to have AAA on the door.

It seams that many days inn are poor and corporate doesn't care to set any standards for their namesakes. I'm not a picky lady but the every sector of the Brooklyn center, MN stay was unfit for human occupancy. ice machine elevator and AC broken. splashes of unknown stuff of walls, doors not functioning, no clock, ceiling falling apart from water damage, wallpaper held up my nails. It wasn't just my room though. everyone I ran into was horrified by their rooms. I will forever be scared by this establishment. I didn't expect much... just a clean room and a place to shower and lay my head. NO MORE DAYS INN FOR ME. I'll stick with americinn from now on.

I just returned to California after staying four days at the Days Inn in Port Jervis, New York. Although the place looks a little worn-down and shabby--both inside and out--the microwaves and fridges; the a/c is powerful, and there's a small bar located within the premises. Also, there's a small strip mall literally right behind the hotel, with an excellent liquor store, inexpensive supermarket, TJ Maxx, and nail salon, among others. It's the staff at this hotel which is so great, however--very friendly, helpful, and accommodating, from the housekeepers to the desk staff. I have stayed at luxury resorts and received similar--but not superior--service. It's rather run-down, but the price, the location, and the staff make it a terrific deal if one doesn't mind orange, 1970's bedspreads that look as though they might be used for DNA evidence on any given day.

We stayed at the Days Inn in Lake Tahoe, CA for three nights July 18, 19, 20, 2013. The rug was filthy, the furniture was stained and worn, the shower had mold in it, and the complementary breakfast was a pre packaged roll and coffee, what a joke that was! I will avoid the Days Inn from now on!

June 2013 - Days Inn - 39th Street Oklahoma City, OK.

This hotel is disgusting!! ROACHES in the room and staff doesn't care. Room isn't clean and nothing but a "flea bag" hotel. Keeping all my clothes locked in my luggage for two reasons - don't trust staff and don't want roaches in my clothes.

My company booked my room because I'm here working on tornado relief. Seems the hotel doesn't care about guests at all they just want the money. Mold in the bathroom, room has a disgusting feel to it. Not a safe area to stay and I wouldn't want my family here with me.

Don't waste your money! Seems the entire chain of Days Inn are horrible after reading several reviews.

We thought our stay at the Days Inn in Corbin, KY on 10-20-12 would be fine. But to our surprise it was not. The room was shoddy. Upon going to the bathroom when my husband stood up the toilet seat came up with him! We slept with our socks on and did not shower. This site defiantly gives Days Inn a black eye.

God Bless You. The Days Inn in Wilkes Barre, Pa., has an excellent staff. Other hotels may be newer, and have additional facilities, i.e. pool, or a restaurant.
The staff simply tries harder and goes out of their way to get the job done for you.
For a clean room and shower, this place will give you your moneys worth.
My experiences in WB, Pa have always been on the positive side. Also, there are restaurants and malls nearby. Rev. Ed

Newark, DE
Disgusting room filled with cockaroaches. Nascar weekend and all hotels were booked so no where else to turn to except the truck we drove down in. We were offered another room but we are not stupid, if the roaches are in one room, they are in all the rooms. My husband got no sleep just watching the walls and our luggage. Neve stay at the Days Inn in Newark DE unless you want to bring roaches home with you. It was the worst vacation we have ever had!!!

We stayed at the Days Inn at 2500 Dean Forrest Rd. in Savannah GA. The hotel room that we stayed in was very shabby. We had a small infestation of brown spiders. We attempted to make the most of our stay but checked out earlier than expected Sunday morning. I had seen one spider too many.

I stayed in the Day's Inn in Richmond Hill, CA. It was disgusting. There was dog poop outside out the door. Towels had holes in them. The carpet was greasy and disgusting. I called CitiBank and tried to get some type of refund and I was told, "When you take the key in your hand and open the door, you have 20 minutes to leave." Well, when you arrive at 11:00 p.m. after driving 5 hours, who checks to see if there is dog crap outside your door? Who checks to see if your towels have holes in them? They advertised a pool... that was shut down do to some type of maintenance on going. Breakfast.. what a joke: bread, bread and more bread. Cold cereal. And, when the tang ran out, that was it.

A homeless man stayed in the bushes that aligned the hotel and stayed on the corner begging all day. There was some prostitution going on a few doors down.

Days Inn's are really sucky.

.... September 14th, 2012

We stayed at the Days Inn Santa Cruz, California on 9/9/12 for one night and were appalled at the condition of the room that we were given: the smoke detector was hanging by the wires and had bright yellow tape holding it together, a hole the size of a large fist was poorly patched over and the small hole in the back of the door was not even patched, no towels were in the room when we checked in, the lampshade on the lamp was crooked and the lamp could not be plugged in because the outlets were overcrowded enough to be a fire hazard, the lights did not work properly, had to unplug the clock to make the coffee pot work, no tea bags were offered with the coffee pot, hall was littered with trash, the rug by the door was frayed about 4 ", the bark dust landscape border was sticking up and my husband tripped over it, the bark dust was spread sloppily and the landscape cloth was a tripping hazard, the closet door did not close properly, there was a burn mark on the bathroom counter, algae was in the pool and the fountain, the breakfast was all carbs and did not include any protein such as a hard boiled egg. We have a very well behaved pet with us,and paid extra but that does not mean we should be given a dilapidated room.

The staff was the best part of the hotel. When I asked for towels and tea bags, they were very accommodating. I did not complain about any of the above, as it was clear that these deficiencies could not be remedied while we were there. In addition, the bed was clean and the shower was hot.

From what I have read from the other postings on this site, our experience was not as horrible as some others, but corporate needs to be aware that the Days Inn brand is being destroyed by the people who are in charge of these inns.

We will never stay in a Days Inn again and we will discourage anyone we know from doing so. Negative publicity is not good for any company. Our stay was not worth what we paid for it.

This comment is intended to give your company feedback to improve. Please do not ignore it or the others, as it appears the company has its work cut out for it.

Typical

I read the reviews from others and now realize what they were talking about. The days inn in Odessa Texas is the dirtiest hotel I have every stayed at. The clean sheets are filthy the bathroom is a joke and the fridge had dead bugs in it. I am appalled they actually charge people to stay here.

Very Unaccomodating

Days Inn Seattle-North of Downtown. If you need anything outside there regular guidelines forget it. I reserved a room for my son and adult daughter so my son could attend a soccer camp at the univerity and first they wouldnt let me fill out a :authorization for credit card use" for any extra charges that may occur. Luckily my daughter had a card to use. Then I called and requested a late check out, they said you have to do that when you check in, okay so my daughter did so when she checked in, they told her call in the morning and ask then, okay she did so. They told her the latest was 11:30, really check out is at 11:00. My sons camp ended at noon and they wouldnt even give them until 1pm so he could shower before he got on his flight home.

READ YOUR OWN CUSTOMER SERVICE REVIEWS

121 Negative, 10 Positive reviews. THAT should tell you something Days Inns!
In late July, I made a reservation at Days Inn, Conneaut Ohio for Sept.3,4,& 5. On August 3, I suffered a major heart attack, subsequently cancelling any of my travel plans. Now that I am home recovering from this near-death incident, I decided that I'd better cancel my motel reservations at Conneaut. When I phoned the motel, and spoke with a gentleman (?) who said he was the manager, I was informed that my card would be charged the full original amount. ($235.17) When I tried to explain my situation further, and voice my displeasure with his attitude, he HUNG UP ON ME! It should be noted that, at no time did I use profanity, nor ethnic slurs (although his accent was barely understandable as English). I had a heart attack and nearly DIED, so the cancellation of my travel plans was unavoidable. If Days Inns need the money that bad, they can keep my $235.17, but I can guarantee it will cost them FAR MORE than that in future business.

Staying at Days Inn West Broad 2 star hotel rating accurate. Not so much a problem with that as the bait & switch tactic used by private owner Randy. Went thru priceline & quoted one price but upon arrival charged regular price. Hotel outdated, old electronics , furniture, etc. It also has old cigarett smell & mildew. The room really small. Stayed in better 2 star & will not stay at this location.

I stayed at the new Days Inn in Waco on 5/18/11. It is a new hotel that has been opened for a month or two. The room I was assigned to did not have a iron/board, coffee maker, refridge/microvave, or clock in the room. While taking a shower, the smoke detector went off 4 times due to steam in the restroom. Had to finish shower with cool water so the detector would not pick up steam and continue to go off. The fitness room did not have any equipment connected so that I could work out. There were only a top, bottom sheet with comforter. No blankets were provided.
Management said they would give a room next time for no cost. Not sure if I will give them that chance. However, the air did work and bed slept well, as well as the television was nice. But, there was no HBO.

We staye3d at Days Inn 4/11/2011 in Richmond KY. on our way home from Florida. The room was not clean there was a face cloth, sugar, a bag and cup behind refrigerator. The carpet needed a good vaccuming as there was dust everywhere int he corners and lint on the carpet. The sheets did not fit the bed as they slipped all night. I also had a coupon that they were suppose to honour $5.00 the room was 39.95 minus coupon. It was not taken off the bill was $45.63. We were very DISAPPOINTED. We know Days Inn for its reputation. We were not happy with the state of the room. I just wanted to comment on the situation and let you know.

DAYS INN BY ALAMO, SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS.

i stayed here for 3 nights. it was 106 dollars a night which is absolutely ridicoulous when it looks as cheap as a motel 6. lobby is across the street so if you call for any service they told us to come & get it. first things first, our iron was broke, never came with a new one, we just happen to see a housekeeper & she exchanged us one out. then we needed towels. had 2 towels in the bathroom, but 3 of us staying in there! called to see if we could get more & was told to come & get then ourselves. one morning we went for breakfast, all they had was some lousy bagels & cereal, really? im paying u $100 dollars a night & this is what your serving us? just sad. but what really topped it off was the last night we were there we decided to go to dennys late that night. we walk to where my car should of been, but was gone! they towed my freakin car!!!!!! because i was sooo excited to be in san antonio for the first time, i forgot to put the stupid tag in my car window so i had to pay a taxi driver to where they took my car plus $300 dollars!!!!! the tow company said that days inn call & report who doesnt have a tag & they come right then & there to pick it up! place is a piece of you know what, not only was the place gross & way over priced, but they took money that was to help feed me & my child! i WILL NEVER go back to san antonio because this hotel ruined the experience for me!!
