We used for DELL pc for our corporate purpose. Recently our pc hardisk had some issues on booting. Called Dell and make report.

The Dell support guy come with a replacement hardisk, but without have any operating system inside.

What the xxll, you give me replacement hardisk but without any OS inside?
What services is this? What for we buy an expensive extended warranty for?

Please is comment sense, when you replace a hardisk you can't just leave a blank hardisk and ask customer install operating system...

A alright brand with heavy pricing!

I am a average tech guy with 2 DELL machines and I can say that DELL computers are the better computers that I have experienced. Currently I have a N5030 and Studio XPS 9100 and have had both for over 2 years now. And i can say that both are running pretty good. However looking back I can without a doubt say that I regret buying them at such a high price and I should have just made my own computers. "Hindsight is 20-20" I guess! :P Customer service has also been the better I have experienced. Me being a tech savvy guy did not have many problematic situations but have contacted them about general information such as upgrade compatibility and what not. Having experienced only Dell Chat, they respond at a okay pace (better then other companies), but sometimes I think the chat managers are not that enlightened about their products (as they would redirect me to different people after stumbling on a question).

Worse than the worse

We bought a Dell laptop about 3 months ago. It would not download apps. Called Dell support and couldn't speak to an American. Spoke with someone who spoke very broken English. He sold us a program for 199.00, because he said our personal computer had been hacked. Very unlikely, but my husband believed him and bought this. Still it did not let us download apps. So the next day he called them again. They put computer back like it was before it was shipped to us. And did this for free. We have been taken big time by DELL. Never buy anything from them. They are crooks in my opinion.

Dell's Incendiary Devices.

No matter what I do on the laptop I am typing this review in, it seems to get the computer temperature up to 80 degrees. The power cord it uses seems to have similar issues. They really should do something about the cooling capabilities of their devices.

CUSTOMER SERVICE WORST IN THE WORLD

Average computers and when you have a problem no one can help you its, not pleasent its just a hassle for them. Customer service has scared me of them for life! WORST THAN POOR!

accessories just suck.

My Dell computer's battery and power cord are just trash. I've had to replace both three times each, and I'll expect to be doing more of the same considering the terrible quality.

No doubt, I purchase dell laptop in 2008 having still working without any failure and excellent reason it was imported from koria, Now my office Dell being crashed hardware 2 time and Battery replace 2time within 2 years. quality has being drastically degraded..never buy. Some of Dell models are just trading product,dell is imply sticking brand stickers.

One star is too much

I have been repairing computer for about 20 years and Dell is by and large the WORST offender when it comes to stupidly-built machines. Whoever designs them ought to have been replaced by a box of hammers as the hammers would provide better system layouts. If you want a PC that works, get a tech to build you one. Want a POS that craps out right after the warranty? Buy a Dell.

I purchased two dell computers within three years. The first was garbage and the second was garbage.They tried to fix them both but thier repairs did not last and when i bought the second one i purchased a three year warranty, after thirteen months that computer failed and dell denied the warranty existed. My next was an HP which is going strong after five years, maybe dell can learn something HP.

Your computers are terrible. My family has been buying your computers for years. They last only two years before they start crapping out. My lap top started to act poorly a little after the first year. I will personally never buy a Dell again because they are just that bad. Thank you for the (censorship because Dell wont admit they suck) and for stealing people's money.

In my opinion Dell is the best than the others (except Apple)

In my campus most of the my batch mates purchased Dell and their customer service is so good that i never seen others. Within warranty period they replaced my battery, adapter easily without any problem. I called them only once and told them about my battery status and they asked some little info like service tag no. etc. and within 2 days they deliver me a battery and adapter. While my college campus is in interior.
Not only battery they replaced motherboard (it was giving some error on diagnostic mode), keyboard (one key was not working) and some more parts (As i am rough and tough advanced user) just one day before last day of warranty period. They send parts with Dell engineer who replaced my parts.
I am not only the single user who get benefit from Dell.
My batch mates who purchased they also get benefit. They need not to go to any service center only need to dial toll free no and within some days the Dell engineer comes with the parts to replace if their is need.
One of my friend got full replacement because his screen appears to black for some time just after OS starts.
Now it is going to be 5 years and till now i never got any problem except battery health.
So i am big fan of Dell.

Poor customer service & defective laptop

This laptop was purchased Dec 19, 2011. I purchased all the warranties Dell sold for my new Inspiron 5110 laptop. In Jan 2012, I realize the microphone and speakers were dysfunctional and it required that I either plugged in an external headset or muted the volume, because the laptop made a continuous loud ignoring scratching song. dell technical support was notified twice about the problem and attempted to troubleshoot the problem. currently, taking an intensive online course ( which actually required a computer with particular specification that resulted in this laptop purchase). Finally in April 2012 Dell technical support replaced the driver and a week later they changed the motherboard. After changing the motherboard, the laptop will not communicate with the Dell 968w printer which I had used prior to changing the motherboard. I notified technical support and everyday for a week I had to troubleshoot the laptop-on the phone with technical support for 3-5 hours a day- deleting, downloading,and restoring windows 7 & Microsoft 2010. Falling behind in my online course, I requested an exchange, refund, or credit. This was denied and I was instructed to continue to troubleshoot with technical support. I eventually went to Staples and purchase about laptop and Dell customer service and technical support continue to insist that I should troubleshoot with them. Continue to do the same thing-delete, download and restore and expect a different outcome.

PC requires constant sign-in if not in use for 5-10 seconds. Annoying!

Called Dell "Support Solutions" at 800 822-3769. Explained problem to "Andy" - said he could help for $429.00. Of course I declined, then he said he would check with his Supervisor; Supv said he could offer me a one-time fee of $50.00. I wished him a Good Morning (evening wherever he was probably) and terminated the call. Does anyone really fall for these heists? Shame on you Dell. LOL lot!

Computer itself is fine; batteries are highly overpriced.

I've had a mostly satisfying experience with my dell products, but the one thing that really gets to me is the absurd prices they place on computer batteries. Why would I spend $130 on a "official dell product" when I can get a more affordable third-party product which was probably made in the same factory as the "official" one for a mere $30?

Average computers

I have had several dells over the years and have had minimal problems with them. The problems I have had with them have been quite annoying though. On all dells I have had the sound system seems to mess up and lag creating a glitchy sound. Some of the laptops I have had have had flimsy, easily breakable hinges. Overall though, you get what you pay for. I mean the products are cheap and last an ok amount of time.

Wow ... very surprised by reviews

I have to say I'm amazed by the reviews posted here.

I must be on a string of good luck because I've owned several Dell computers over the past 20 years and each one has been better than the last. My Dells last an average of 5 - 7 years and I only get a new one because of how dated they get, not because I'm having problems.

That being said, I agree with other that Dell's customer service is a misnomer and VERY frustrating to deal with.

Not good quality.

I have owned three Dell Computers and have been unhappy with every single one of them. Firstly, they don't seem to last as long as other models. I also have several glitches with Dell keyboards. The company also makes it difficult to buy replaces parts (including print cartridges) for their products.

I purchased a Dell Inspiron in November of 2010. Since then it has crashed every month. Dells techs work on it remotely and it works for a couple of weeks then crashes again. They said I needed system mechanic to solve the problem, I purchased it. Then they said it was a software problem so I purchased that. It still kept crashing, losing a lot of data. In March they replaced the hard drive. When it crashed again they said they were going to replace all the internal parts. All the parts came in except the motherboard, it was on back order but no one could tell me when it would come in. I called and complained so they said they would send dispatch out and replace everything else and would do the motherboard when it came in. The tech replaced everything but the computer still did not work. He called Dell and told them we still needed the motherboard and they told him it was shipping from China and would arrive at the distribution center in Texas on April 10 and I was to call to confirm on that date. I called and was told it was still on backorder and they had no idea when it would be in. They called me back three days later to confirm that the tech was out and replaced all the other parts and when questioned the status of the motherboard they told me the order had been cancelled! I explained what happened and they said they would look into it. I have heard nothing. They tell me to calm down and relax that they are going to take care of everything. They refuse to transfer you to a supervisor, This is the poorest customer service I have ever received. I have asked for my money back or a new computer several times and they talk over me ignoring my request. Is there a computer I can buy that has tech support in the USA??? I will never buy a dell again.

I have been waiting for Dell to refund me. The delivery fails to deliver my item on March 18th. I called in for full refund. They said they will do in 2 business days.
A week later I called in again. They told me the same thing and I am still waiting now. If they can't resolve it, I will call my bank to dispute the purchase cuz the item simply never arrived and I have tracking proof.
Customer cares are all liars or they don't know what they are doing.
I will never use Dell's product. Never ever. This is a priceless lesson for me.

customer service where? who got the jobs? oh I think i have spent my last u s dollar to speak to someone in another country and get frustrated by a stranger. Hell I could ride the cta and do that --- sorry my bad the cta is keeping jobs here in the good old USA research where your $ are being collected and dispenced. I make my money here, I raise my kids here, i take pride in my country, and will protect her in her darkest hours----- its one taking a stand

This is my third dell printer, due to them just quitting without warning. Daughter attempting to print homework this morning on a printer that is 1 yr 3 months old. There is paper jam after paper jam. So I lift the printer and a sprocket piece falls out. I call dell with no help what so ever they are saying if it were a paperjam they could help me. Well I could help myself with a paperjam. This is a hardware issue and they refuse to acknowledge that you are using cheap parts. Stuff does not sit there for a year and then just up and fall off. It was not thrown around it sits in one spot on a desk. I doubt that I will ever get another printer or even computer by dell. I think Mac will be getting my business!
