Better but limited varieties
I went to Dick's sporting goods to buy a pair of Roller Skates. I was searching for the roller skates all over the shop and couldn't find it. So, i thought of calling a company staff. But i found that only one was in the store. No other help for him. I called him and he came with a smiling face and helped me out.. But they didn't have the model which i expected, which was very sad.. Totally i like the customer service but i found only less varieties in the shop :(

Great sports store!
Dick's has everything for any sport you can possibly think of! I was actually surprised by the number of sports that they had items for...especially when it came to products for water sports! They have a great selection of clothes (which are gorgeous!) and basically have everything you could need for whatever sport you are a part of! Love Dick's! They have awesome employees too, and always help when you need it.

Dick's selection is good to peruse prior to ordering online. When I require the convenience of an immediate purchase, I occasionally buy in the store.
Today I purchased a running shirt. The cashier made the experience a bad memory. He argued with me all the way out of the store about customers wanting to hear about the store asking customers to donate money. Dick's is not a medium for philanthropy. Trying to couple the point of sale with a humanitary obligation leaves a sour taste in the mouth of this customer.
I will hesitate next time I think about going to Dick's and answer first if I really want a discourse on charity with a sales associate.

Good Sporting Goods Store
Dicks is decent store. They have a wide variety of recreational products and cover most of the basics for a beginner at most sports. They also sell a lot of clothes and shoes. The prices aren't the cheapest you can find, but they aren't outrageous either.
