Tried to dispute my credit report online
After starting my dispute at some point my session timed out. I had to start all over again, nothing was saved. After entering in my info it asks account questions to verify your account, but this time none of the questions had known creditors so I had to select None of the Above on all questions. Which then came back that it was unable to verify my account and to fax my dispute! With what? I could no longer access my data and there were no forms to use. It's a multi-billion dollar business dependent on false information and so-called bad credit scores (by their standards), just to mention a couple of reasons. Otherwise, your credit reports would have remained free of cost and you could get them directly from the 3 credit bureaus.Anonymous-91711.... December 31st, 2012
Preprogrammed personell in India
Impossible to find out information from this company. Takes a long time of web surfing to even get a phone number to talk to someone. hold for 15 minutes, then speak to someone who just stonewalls you with information about how credit scores work. Let me get this right, a representitive from this company cannot tell me what dragged my credit score that they come up with down? That makes no sense. Instead she refers me to a credit counseling phone number. There is "0" customer support with Equifax. Im disgusted.Anonymous-81706.... October 30th, 2012

Equifax Service Is TERRIBLE And The Customer Service Is Very RUDE, DISRESPECTFUL, UNPROFESSIONAL, And Really Need Some More Training On How To Deal, Talk And Respect The Public...Anonymous-63469.... June 20th, 2012
getting my credit report
had to become a force in order to get it, down right shameful. Kindness gets you absolutely no where. Its like there your enemy and you have to go after what is yours until they let go.aimaria8.... July 18th, 2011
Placing other peoples information on my credit file.
When I disputed this information they just did not care.Anonymous-24937.... March 28th, 2011
I am considering getting a car loan, so I went to freecreditreports.com to find out my credit score. Was disappointed to learn that you have to pay for that piece of information, but clicked on the link to buy from Equifax, because it was the cheapest option. The advertised price was $7.95.
The link took me to a purchase page where I entered my cc info. I was then taken to a confirmation page, where I received a receipt for $15.95. Equifax had overcharged me! When I clicked on the "view my product" link, I was taken to the Equifax home page. There I was asked to login to view my credit score, but because I was never asked to register, I didn't have a username and password. The "register now" button took me to another purchase page where I would have had to pay again for my credit score.
That was almost a month ago. Since then, I have submitted three online customer service requests and spoken with one live person, and I still can't log on to their stupid website, and no matter how much I beg, no one will tell me my credit score!!! The only option left is to dispute the charge on my credit card and purchase from someone else.
My experience with Equifax has easily been the worst customer experience of my life.
