Today a contractor came by unexpectedly to dig trenches for my Fios connection which is set up for tomorrow between 8-5. Yes. Stay home all day because they cannot give you a courtesy call when they head your way.
About an hour after the men had left I wanted to get online to pay my bills. No dsl connection. I wanted to call of my house phone to find out what was wrong: no phone. I used my cell phone and was tossed back and forth between Fios and regular Verizon. Nobody claims my account. Nobody could help me. I received 5 or 6 different phone numbers where they would absolutely be able to hook me up till tomorrow. No result. I will now have to take all my paperwork and computer to a Starbucks to get my necessities taken care of. I find it inexcusable that no oft bothered to tell me that I would be cut off. And I'm very concerned with the fact that nobody knows which department gives which service.
