Ford is ideal for farms and different models for public very reliable and comfortable how ever its a must to check ur fluids due to the metal parts of the 00 18 models of the motor is so thin it will total the vehicle due to not having proper appts made for top offs with fluids.

Ford vehicles are the worst vehicles to purchase. I bought my Ford fiesta showroom and I've been in the service department for a non functioning vehicle on a daily basis. Ford= fix or repair daily.

hello my name is sam morgason i have a 2011 ford focus se i have had it for over a year and i wish i would of shoped around a little bit more before i bought it it is a good economical car but i wish i would of bought a small suv that has more room but i was upside down on my trade in and i overpaid for the ford focus i have back leg and hip problems so its not very comfortable and i am hard hearing but i here all the road noise with it dont get me wrong i messed up and was talked into buying it but i will shop around to get a small suv next time preferably a ford too ty sam

Recently purchased a new Escape. Love the vehicle with the exception of the Synch System. The dealer has tried several times to correct the problems but I leave with more problems than I had before they serviced it. I think Ford jumped the gun in introducing this to the public. Each time I start the vehicle I wonder if I would have done better with another manufacturer. In short, the Synch System sucks!

I have a 2011 F150 Pick up truck. I have had it back to the dealer 4 times with transmission issues. The truck jerks going from 1-2 and 3-4 some times. It does not do it all the time.

They applied some grease and reset the compter.

Still doing the same thing.

Wish I would of stayed ith the Chevy.

Ford Fusion: a deadly gamble! The power steering assist fails without warning; Ford will not recognize the problem even tho it is endemic (according to posts on the web)
My 2012 failed at 6727 miles from new. The recommended fix: replace the entire power steering component. Many post on the web complain this does not fix the problem.
I was ready to buy a 2013 Fusion for my wife but forget that! It will be back to Toyota or Honda.

I only used Ford a few times. Each time something else was broken when we picked it up. The first time, it was a simple fix, but then it wouldn't start! The second time they disconnected some electrical things that are sort of important. Never buying Ford again! Total Con artists

My Ford Touch - defective and no help from Ford.

I bought my first (and last) new Ford - a 2012 Focus SEL. The MyFordTouch system has been wildly defective from the day I drove it off the lot.

Ford has done several updates, all to no avail. I filed Lemon Law paperwork and Ford said they would review it and would likely offer me a refund or replace it with a 2013 model of the same car.

Well, I heard from Ford today.

Nothing. No refund, no replacement.

In essence, I got a giant middle finger.

I really wanted to like you Ford. I really was rooting for the one American manufacturer that didn't take bailout money. It could have been the start of a long car buying relationship.

But you screwed the pooch. You had the chance to make things right but instead decided to leave me holding the putrid bag of defective garbage that you call "MyFordTouch".

I've never sued a company before. But you're making it awfully tempting.

I have bought new Ford vehicals since 1974. Usually every 2-3 years my wife and I get new Fords. We recently bought a 2013 Escape for her and I got a 2013 Fusion. The Escape has the 1.6 litre engine----what a mistake!!!--The purchase of this Escape is ending a long relationship with Ford Motor Company. We will never buy another Ford product again.

Within a month of owning a 2011 Fi50
crew cab I found the HVAC made excessive blower noise when in foot heat mode while in 3 and 4 blower speeds. I found the defrost door remained open and air was being force out defrost vents and window mister vents even in the foot heat only mode. According to the owner's manual this shouldn't happen. When I took the F150 to 2 dealers for service to get a fix I found they were real quick to say it was normal. Well it's not normal. I have owned many vehicles and not one ever made this much blower noise. This is a case of Ford playing "dodge" ball on a fix.

By the way, I an engineer whom makes auto HVAC system for a living. Only it is the other brand. So fix it Ford cause it isn't normal.

I bought a Ford Escape new in 2004. Overall, it has been reliable, but doing basic maintenance is a nightmare. Oil goes everywhere during changes, the filter is behind the exhaust pipe and is almost impossible to take off without oil getting everywhere. Just did a fuel filter change and the clips broke, got new ones and they broke as I put them on! If you break the other side, you have to replace the whole line! And there are two different clips, one you press together, the other you have to pull apart. This is absurd. Replacing the alternator requires pulling off the ball joint and driveshaft! I will buy Toyota next time and hopefully their engineers have thought through maintenance a little better.

I purchased a Linccoln MKS from this dealer in Dallas, Grapevien Ford. The car has given me so many problems its unreal. The mileage gange was clocking more mile than i was driving.....I had this car for 4months and only drive it on weekend, so its not driven every day. but the miliage showed me driving 8,000 miles in four months.....its in the shop right now

The 2013 Ford Escape has some really nice features, but it looks like they've taken a cue from Chevrolet and come up with some poor rear end styling on this one.
The height of the vehicle, from the top of the roof to bottom edge of the bumper looks way too tall. The dark gray bumper with it's inset reflectors looks like a flat-bed trailer with another vehicle sitting on top of it.
Every since the demise of chrome bumpers, I have never been a fan of the new platic covered bumpers, mainly when they didn't match the body color. The Escape has a dark gray bumper that doesn't match the body. On top of that, they have a very light gray (almost white) colored center panel in the bumper where the exhaust pipes exit. This sticks out like a "sore thumb"
A total of 3 different colors. Would definitely look better if this center panel at least matched the dark gray bumper.

I work for BMW and recently rented a Ford Explorer, in short, I was extremely impressed. The 3rd row is a bonafide seat! Bravo Ford. However, please make a V8/Lighting Edition. I NEED MORE POWER AND PERFORMANCE! Dont worry about the gas... Flare out the side finders, intergrate a more aggressive body kit/asthetic, and add a performance suspension and exhaust. As someone who sells BMW's there is a market for a beefy Explorer! If you make one...I will buy! Great Job Ford!

Poor reputation.

The people I know who own Fords mostly complain about the cash they have to shell out to fix their cars, which in the long run means they were better off picking other brand cars.

I thought Fix or Repair daily was a thing of the past

I have a 2011 Explorer it has been in for repairs for replacement of afan motor, numerous times for the Sync system, a recall for the back seat, recal for the fan assembly. I left ford years a go to go with Toyota. I love the new exteror design, however nothing but problelms.

i hv a f150 tritan...vehicle wouldnt start...like it was out of gas..would crank put wouldnt start..changed fuel pump..still nothing..took it to local garage..3wks later..same prob...now we r being told it is the fuel pump driver module..after looking on the net..there is a lot of prob with the fpdm...bought my first and last ford vehicle..never had so much trouble with a vehicle as we hv this one..after seeing all the reviews on this prob seems like ford would back thier products and do a recall on this prob..ford sure doesnt stand behind thier products...

I have driven a Ford for many years. I owned a 2002 Mustang, and LOVED it I only got rid of it because I had children, however I drove it for over 6 years, never having any problems. I then purched a 2008 Ford Fusion and again LOVE my car. The only problem is that I lived in FL and the heat warped my dash :( but very satisfied with both my cars.

I have a Lincoln MKT 2010, fully loaded.
Always have been a GM customer and am now regretting more than ever having switched to Ford!
I have had nothing but problems with this vehicle since the start.
*Two (2) sets of rear brakes in less than a year and a half.
*Backup sensor and sideview mirror sensors stopped working.
*Had rear light lense replaced due to water condensation buildup.
*Rear rims replaced due to "defect". Peeling and scratch after having brakes replaced - not done while brakes fixed, but a "defect"?
*Hood of car had to be repainted due to defect.
*Now I have had car in because my heating system is blowing cold. Of course they couldn't duplicate it. Brought car home, was working "ok", now I have to have the heat turned up to 28C and the fan blowing on full just to get somewhat warm.

Guess I will have to use my precious time to bring it in again for the heating issue. Hopefully they can actually fix it this time.

Guess what car I'm not buying in the future!

Don't buy ford

I have a 2010 ford f150 with a problem having ti do with the passive anti theft system talking to the pcm both the dealer and ford do not know what is wrong with it and this is week two don't even bother with customer service because the truly could care less. Thus is the second time its been in and the first time the one mechanic that they have dropped a wrench down the dash save your money and buy a horse it will be more reliable in the end

I bought a 2012 Explorer with MY Ford Touch Sytem in it. The worst thing ever. Since day one it has not worked. We were told to bring it in that Ford was awre of problems and the would reboot it. If that didn"t fix the problem than the whole module would be replaces. The problems got worse and then we were told they needed to get the numbers off unit to order the module but when we took it in we were told now we had to wait for a new program that would be available in January. Now there were times I had no heat(air conditioning instead), no defrost, no radio, no GPS and at times could not use my phone. Sometimes that would happen all at once. Finally I had had enough especially when the ladies in the service deoartment started telling me that it was also so hard for them to listen to all the complaints about this system. Well my take on that was well that's your job and I'm paying ALOT of money for a vehicle that is less reliable than most used ones. The Explorer is now back in Ford's hand and because of a good salesman we are now in another vehicle (F150) NO My Ford TOuch in it. I was so happy when I saw the interior and it had buttons I literally cried. I had totally lost faith in the Explorer and was it would leave ( as it had ). I now feel better! BE WARE of MYTOUCH

by now you know that the5.4 cam phasers are poorly designed as well as the spark plugs after maintaining my truck with proper maintenance i managed to get 123000 miles out of it i have people that work for me that run the dog crap out of there dodge trucks w/ 250000 plus and are still going i am not asking for anything i will be buying a new truck it just wont be a ford

GOODYEAR Tires on a new 2011 Ford F150 FX
4X4 P275/65R/18 SRA a ATV it is not

I ordered a new truck with just what I wanted for off road travel and wanted 275/65R/18 ATV tires but Ford sent the truck with street tires and now customer relations say to bad so sad go to the dealer you bought from and talk to them. I now have a 39,000.00 off road loaded truck with street tires. All I wanted was LT275/65R/18 tires but Ford doesn't care.

2012 Ford Focus. Ford ads target Young Tech Saavy drivers BEWARE !!!

If you want to buy a new car and drive it for <30 days before the BRAKE systems FAIL this the 2012 Ford Focusw is the car for you.

Ford Service, delaerships and Ford Customer Care admit they have no idea how to fixx the issues with the BRAKE Malfunctions on this car.

Ford markets this car to young tech saavy drivers on our radio stations and tv shows Despite the fact that they know the 2012 Ford Focus has serious SAFETY issues and malfunctions with the Brake systems on this car.

Don'e be FOOLED by Ford's ads they have very little regard for the welfare and satisfaction of the young customers they target for sales of the 2012 Ford Focus.

BEWARE or you too will have a BAD CASE OF BUYERS REMORSE like I do.

Bought a 2012 Ford Focus SEL with SYNC on May 27 at Milham Ford, Easton, PA. The Brake, ABS, Traction , Uphill assist systems failed w/in 30 days. Car has been in for service longer than I drove it, three times 7/2, 7/5 and 7/9 to 8/2 and still counting with no estimated repair date.
Ford distributed and sold the new 2012 Focus vehicles with known software and mechanical defects. Attempts to resolve the Brake system malfunctions at the dealership level with Milham Ford in Easton, PA were unsuccessful and unpleasant. Ford Customer Service is apologetic but unable to get the car repaired. Letter to the Ford Board of Directors remains unanswered.
The new car excitement vanished
within 30 days of buying my 2012 Ford Focus SEL and was replaced by a severe case of buyers remorse.

I have a 2009 FORD ESCAPE with 30,000 miles on it. Over the past 4 months, the car has been in Repair for a total of 30 days and they have had to do a major repair on my transmission each time. It may have even had to be rebuit. What is my recourse on this? The Lemon Law in CT only allows for 2 years or 24,000 miles or less......this is ridiculous and I am afraid that my car will be a true lemon once the warranty runs out. This is my first American car and may be my last if something doesnt happen.......

On May 7, 2011 I purchased a NEW 2011 Escape from Gurnee Ford,Il. Upon returning home to Tennessee I noticed the right rear wheel coccked out when I made my first pit stop. I thought the caster/chamber was out as I did not observed this upon inspecting vehcile before purchase. I took the escape to Crossville Ford, TN. The tech told me that they found the ball joint had not been secured before leaving factory. As parts had to be ordered thay gave me a ride home as the "vehicle was unsafe to drive". I am a "Ford Guy" owning over twelve and currently owning a 2007 Mustng Gt. But how can something like this slip buy factory inspectors and the pep person at Gurnee Ford.
The Crossville tech also added to thank the Lord I made it back as the ball joint could have come off at any time, certainly causing an accident.

I purchased a 2008 Ford Edge and I recently found rust on both back doors on the inside. My car is not even two years old I am horrified that I spent 30,000 on this vehicle. I called the dealership and the salesman's response was it happens to SUV's when you don't rinse off the salt. Are you kidding me-the only thing I want to do is get this fixed and never purchase another Ford.

HI I own a 2004 F-150 and love my truck having said that, I have had a total of 3 windows fall down, the first window when it fell it was the regulator paid for it to get fixed 3oo dollors, now i have had 2 windows fall at the same time, I think paying over 600.00 dollors to get it fixed is insane. My daughter has also had work done at ford of ocala and the service was terrible and the staff was so rude they mad my duaghter cry, I am seriously thinking about going to a chevy dealer to buy our vehicles. Everyone in my family buys ford but when I stop the whole family will follow, so if my sittuation doen't get resovled I will never buy a Ford again, and I have been buying fords for over 40 years, that's how upset I am about this. Thank you

does anyone have ANY info on the new super duty f350/supercrew/longbed 4x4/6.2-boss motor flex.i have had mine since 1/1/11 and am having numerous issues,motor over reving,trans sliping or not locking up or not up shifting,sync system is a joke,frnt bumper rusting,uneven front tire wear.and there is at times a very bad knockin the motor both at idle and while crusing,all i get from ford is double talk,and BS,logic.new f350 owners we must stick together,with 500 cases we can get class action suit.i spent my retirement savings on this truck and expected to die with it not die because of it or get killed in it.

my 1997 ford f150 engine went @ 93k miles. replaced with factory engine installed by ford dealer. 2 1/2 years later constantly overheated & ran rough. went to two different dealers. total of four visits. neither service department could find any probels even though is was losinh 1/2 gallon of water every 80 miles.this went on for six months.i had a full tune-up to resolver rough ride ($500.00). two weeks later same rough ride. warranty on engine expired 01/11, engine went 03/11. have all repair & maint. reports.got sympathy from ford.nothing else.my advise, find a local mech. & if the problem is major don't throw any more money into the vechile, ford service will leave you high & dry.

We bought a new Ford Escape in December 2010
We bought the chrome wheels or as Ford calls
them chrome clad wheels
After 3 monthes the wheels looked terrible
I tried cleaning them with soap and water
nothing worked.
I went back to Bob Rohrman Schaumburg Ford
They told me I used the wrong cleaner.
They were not nice at all.
I called Ford customer service.
They sided with the Ford Dealer right a way
It is amazing what a mild saop and water
will do.
If anybody reads this please do not buy a Ford.
They are out to sell a lot of cars, if
something happens you are out of luck.
