2015 GMC Sierra, 41250 miles a/c broke today. Blowing only hot air lots of liquid on the under carriage. Came from a/c. Looks like a common problem on the 2015 Sierra's!!! Unhappy cuz I spend lots of money on a brand new truck and all I get is stress!

I have a 2012 GMC Acadia Denali with 110,000 miles. We bought it as a certified pre owned 2 years ago. Four days ago I was driving my kids to school and it had rained all night and there were a lot of puddles on the roads. After going through a particularly large puddle and not thinking much about it I had to come to a stop ahead so that I could wait for oncoming traffic to pass before I could turn left onto the next road. As I began the turn left and my car was halfway turned across the center lane my steering wheel completely locked and would not move one tiny bit. I immediately let off the gas but just instinctively kept a tight hold on the steering wheel. My car was now headed directly for the woods on the sie of the road. After about 15 seconds the steering released and I was able to turn the car back onto the road. My heart was in my throat and my legs had turned to jelly. So now after days of reading posts in GMC forums I see that this has happened over and over when driving at a low rate of speed and/or when driving through wet conditions. I cannot fathom that a recall has not been issued on the 2012 Acadia. I am extremely concerned for the safety of my family and now do not want to drive the car at all.

I have a 2011 terrain and only has 55,000 miles on it and my transmission blew up it will cost me $4,000 to cover it because it's past five years I don't have no warranty on it it shouldn't have a tranny problem at 55,000 miles I love my train but I don't like the price that I got to pay for a new transmission

We have leased a GMC Acadia about 1.5 years ago and we have had it not start many times. After being stuck in Georgia for several days now I have been stranded at work and home. We have had it repaired twice. I wonder when enough is enough. I don't feel safe driving it. I feel like I am paying quite a bit of money per month for an unreliable car.

I have a 2010 Yukon Deinal with 98000 miles on it the engine blew up without any warning this vehicle was alway service at the dealership I called GMC because the SUV was out of wa warranty I could not get any help with my question the customer service at Pontic Master of Augusta told us that if GMC was going to do anything so it wasn't their responsibility but offer $300.00 on engine I feel if you pay $50000.00 or more for a vehicle that you would end up with better service I would never buy another GMC SUV or another vehicle especially if you have to replace a engine with that less of miles

Just to let you know, I am very happy with my 1994 GMC K1500-5.7 engine. I bought this truck with 64,000 miles on it in 2003. So far I have put one water pump, 2 radiators, 2 starters, i alternator and last week, with 213,000 miles it needed a fuel pump. The motor itself, transmission, rear end, wheel bearings, 4 wheel drive and rear brakes are still original. WELL BUILT TRUCK----THANK YOU

I have a 2005 Yukon which I really like.

However the Tire monitoring system has given me numeroius problem. While I like this feature we have had it fixed at least 3 time and once again it is giving us problems. One sensor has no reading and the other sensor show 0 PSIG when the tire is inflated.

How do I turn off the tire monitor system so I do not have to see that it is malfunctioning?

WE PURCHASED A NEW 2007 CANYON AND
SINCE WE BOUGHT IT THE CAR STEREO HAS NEVER
WORKED RIGHT. THEY PUT IN A NEW RADIO AND
STILL HAS STATIC. BRAKES: WE HAD BRAKES
REPLACED AT DEALERSHIP AND IT STILL SCREECHES. EVERY TIME THEY WORK ON THE TRUCK THEY DO NOT REPLACE THE PARTS THE SAME WAY THEY WERE BEFORE. NOW THE WARRANTY
IS NO LONGER GOOD, THEY SAY : EVEN THOUGH
WHEN WE SIGNED THE PAPERS THEY SAID THE WARRANTY WOULD BE GOOD UNTIL 100,000 MILES.
OUR TRUCK HAS ONLY 65,000 MILES.

I just find it really strange that GMC won't own up to the electrical and transmission problems of the 2007 Tahoe and all other vehicles. No one seems to really care...the government spends so much time bashing Toyota and want us Americans to be loyal to purchasing domestic cars, but this is pathetic. This is my first and last gmc vehicle.

I have owned GMC vehicles for most of my life. We currently have three. My 2008 Acadia now has to have the steering gear replaced. Dealer says he has been seeing other GMC vehicles with problem. I have also had to replace lift pistons on the back door. The door fell on me while putting groceries away. GMC needs to check on how many complaints for these two items and help out their loyal customers. We did help them out.

My daughter bought a 2002 GMC Envoy almost 2 years ago. She had it 1 month when the back suspension went out. It had been in the shop alreday for the same thing 19 times. Now, she has to buy a conversion kit because of that stupid air bag crap that holds the rear end up. Air bag suspension junk. She low rides nearly all the time. She'll never buy another GMC ever. It's junk and you should actually have to pay for the conversion kit of which I know you won't. I woulkd give this thing an F- By the way you'll be getting a complaint from her too. I have spinal stenosis and DDD, I can't even ride long distances in this piece of garbage. She needs a conversion kit installed now.

We bought a 2011 GMC Terrain it only has 20,000 miles on it. The engine starting making loud noises when you start it. The windshield wipers were sometimes most of the time they don't, electrical issues in the dash, passanger seat leather is coming apart. It has been in the shop for two weeks with the engine torn apart. They just said they will have for at least another two weeks. Told GMC that we got a lemon. They said that they will fix it. Don't feel like it is a reliable vehicle any longer. Very dissapointed! We bought this car used it only had 5,000 miles on it. We got from a certified GMC dealer which I guess certified doesn't mean a thing!!!!

I only hope if your in the market for a GMC vehicle you read this first. While the styling of their products are desirable, there is an absolute issue with their quality. I currently own 4 GMC vehicles and could write pages on the problems I have had. Understand no vehicle will last forever, but when there is clear design flaws and ones related to safety, somebody should step up from GM and make the appropriate changes. I nearly had a fatality from a rear door hatch failure on my 2006 envoy. With over $11000 in repairs to my 78000 mile GM certified vehicle which only has highway miles on it tells me something is quite wrong with GM quality. Please be advised if you purchase an extended warranty you may be still paying for repairs anyway. I only wish GM was as loyal to me as I was to them. If you do decide to purchase a GM product I can give you some solid advice. Lease it and make sure there is a bumper to bumper warranty for the duration of the lease. For me I will be selling all of my GM vehicles as I have spent enough money in premature repairs. If you think it cant or wont happen to you I assure you wont be an exception.

I love my GMC Sierra with one exception. The cruise control is far too sensative for comfortable driving. If the speed drops 1 MPH it will kick down out of overdrive and sometimes downshift a couple of gears to maintain speed. It could be a lot less sensative and be useful. At the agency I'm told that it is a solid state part of the ECM and can't be adjusted or repaired. I find that hard to believe.

.... August 27th, 2011

I bought a 2011 GMC Terrain that suppose to get 22-32 mpg. I get 23 if I use the cruise at 68 mph. This sucks, I paid nearly $30,000 for a SUV because it supposed to get 32 mpg.

I have owned two gmc pick up trucks. A 2007 and a few months ago I got a 2011. The 2007 was a great truck never let me down. It would pull or haul anything and everything. The 2011 I just got won't tow my camper that is 2000 pounds under the towing capacity. I can only do 60 mph at 2700 rpm in 4 gear. It won't shift into any other gear unless you are running down hill. Yes I had it in tow haul mode, it has a 6 speed transmission and 308 gear. Well I guess I'm going to buy a Ford next time or really soon and lose my ass. Very unhappy.

My husband and I purchased our GMC Terrain 2011 at the end of November 2010. On March 26, 2011 while driving, the car stopped (without having pressed the brake)and would not go forward. As my husband pressed on the gas the car would not accelerate. The car would only go in reverse. The car was towed to the dealership. The following Tuesday they informed my husband that they were "pulling the transmission". My husband immediately called GMC Customer Relations to discuss the concerns and the representative acknowleged that "once you have problems with a transmission the car is never the same again". My husband requestd a new vehicle and the request for a new a vehicle was forwarded to the district advisor for review. The response was that we could not get a new vehicle because it did not qualify under the Lemon Law. We checked with an attorney and this was the case. My husband and I get the "Lemon Law" reasoning but what about doing what's right and quality customer services. On April 6th, when a GMC service department representative left a message stating that they were waiting on a part so they could put the transmission back together and the car would be ready in two days, I was beyond disgusted. A vehicle that is 4 months old should NOT need work on a transmission anc certainly should NOT need to be "put back together". Their unwillingness to replace the vehicle is a contradiction to their claim of wanting to ensure customer satisfaction. This car will never be the same and I will never own another GMC.

I wanted my dealership to upgrade my stock cd/am/fm audio system to a stock 6disc unit on my 2009 NBS per my vin and gm part numbers it was possible. The dealership installed it but my steering wheel audio control button for moving to the next cd just changed the track up. The truck still assumed I had a single cd player. I was told it was not returnable and that sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. So it's my fault they dont know how to calibrate the radio. Don't they have a Tec support line from GM? or is it they just dont care. GM sells radios but they can't be installed in the cars and trucks they make?
