Interesting experience
I went in, Had a crew member not have a clue what he was doing and tryed to convince me I had the game in the box when it was clearly not there.

sending wrong version out for inquisitors collectors edition
I received the dragon age inquisitors edition chest etc etc..cost me £129 plus 1 day postage pre-loaded it noticed next day that they had sent me the normal not deluxe version in the pack.i immediately sent a ticket off. 10 days later no contact at all from gamestop.just the original return mail saying it had been received and was being dealt wth... looked at my ticket this morning...and it had been closed and marked up as "solved" ???..no ones contacted me I haven't had the deluxe version sent it isn't sold at all !!..ive sent another ticket explaining everything.and if no contact in the next day or so.ive been advised to contact trading standards.and look into taking legal action about it..its a lot of money for only half what you have paid for...very poor service so far

My name is James 06-18-13 I have been to two games stops with in 1.5 hour period and I have to say that they need to check there games before they sale them both games will not read in my xbox 360 so I have to say you guy's are stupid for buying games that don't work when you have games systems in your place of business. So as a costumer quit wasting my time and gas to buy products that dont work.

GameStop is not that good.
I very rarely have a reason to enter a GameStop. Sometimes I stop in the one in the mall with my daughter to check out used DS games, but even then it's for as short a time as necessary and I can't remember the last time I bought something there. I'm not rude with people, but I avoid that place like the plague.The real problem, which most people don't come right out and say, is the employee training is minimal and they make you feel very very uncomfortable about shopping in the store. These are usually mid-late teens types who just don't have the sales skills to make what they're doing seem natural. I do a lot of sales at my job, and I need to inform people but also give them the time to checkout the products on their own and answer any questions they might come up with. At GameStop it's literally a simple trading game in many locations, they want you to pre-order, buy a magazine sub, buy a "service plan" etc because the managers make them ask and their hours and jobs depend on it. Employees are a dime a dozen for them, but eventually customers won't be.
It's kind of a shame because if they lowered the pressure a bit on the employees and incentivised the program, along with some decent (and not very difficult) sales training it might be a decent place to shop at. If there's a person at the counter I can talk games with for a few minutes(knowledgeable, friendly, low pressure and outgoing) and he brings up "hey, *insert game customer might have interest in* has a cool pre-order bonus through us you wanna check it out?" I would be probably 20x more likely to listen to what he has to say. Finding the right employee to do that is much harder than hiring anyone who comes in and forcing them to make a few offhand pitches, giving you reason to fire anyone any time you feel like it though.

Always bought from them and always great.
In all of my gaming years I have bought almost all of my games from Gamestop. They have always had awesome preorder bonuses and a huge selection of games. They have helpful employees who usually know their stuff and you can tell they are gamers too. They also have good deals on used games, so overall they are a superb company!

My husband bought a game at GameStop and they informed him he could return it within a week if he didn't like it. He wasn't impressed, so went back to return it. He bought the game used, but when he told the guy that he wanted a refund, the guy looked at the receipt and the game and said "You bought a new game, this isn't the same one". Turns out the person that scanned the game originally scanned the regular barcode and not the sale barcode. He noted the mistake and refunded the money. The game selection isn't that great and the "trade-in" policy sucks. I'd rather read reviews of games and buy them new, knowing they will be worth the money.

Best selection of games in the area.
Gamestop allows me to experience the good feeling of actually buying games at an affordable price, while not being impersonal as clicking links on a website to do the same.

I think EB games is the worst place to buy games!! how the hell can they open the game and say its new? Im sorry but if the game has been opened IT IS USED!!!!!!!!
If it is a used game we should be getting a discount. I will never ever buy another game or gaming device there as long as I live and I will continue to tell my story to evety gamer out there!!!!!!! Dont go to eb games this place is crap!!!

I did not get my halo 4 bonus code for pre-ordering the game and i was looking online and many people didn't get them either. I want codes or something else to replace the codes.

Great Time!
My last trip to Game Stop was amazing. The employees were nice, friendly and very talkative.We spent over an hour there and they still were very helpful.
They have fast service and I will return again.

While the new game prices aren't anything spectacular, their used collection has plenty of great deals in stock.

if you check in now and then you can find good deals on used games/equiptment the warrenty they provide is the only redeeming factor of some of the prices

Store of the Champions
Before Gamestop I used Gameforce, but it has been an excellent substitute. I always keep up with the latest games and the 30 day return policy gives me plenty of time to enjoy the game and get my money back. Also the power up rewards program gives me a little cash back for my loyalty.
