4 out of 6 ain't bad??
I bought in 2018 a 6 package GE CAFE SERIES OF APPLIANCES FOR MY NEW REMODEL. I love GE and wanted them to have my business because the company was going through hard times. BUT, the wall oven did not work on installation day (fan motor bad), the dishwasher door leaked 30 days later, washer would not drain 1 year later and now the refrigerator freezer shuts of and on and needs a new control panel. 4 out of 6 in less than 2 years. Ironically, these were installed in my summer home that I use only 4-5 months per year. Please, I want GE to prosper but I have purchased GE appliances for 40 years and they need to improve the quality of their products.

I build spec houses for a living. I have used mostly GE products in the past, but NEVER again. The last house I sold, the range/stove was giving off a noxious chemical smell. Scheduled repair call, repair man agreed, and scheduled another repair call to come back to work on it when it was not hot. GE cancelled the repair call without informing me, and stated they were replacing the range, but never took action. Then they said they were refunding us but we would have to dispose of the range. Spend over 25 hours on hold in the course of 8 months, and still, no refund or replacement. I will never use GE products ever again. Their customer service folks have hung up on me, given me false extensions to call back, and never once followed through with what they said they were going to do. This is the WORST company I have ever worked with. Very unprofessional, and unresponsive. Not to mention, they do not back their products. Good luck to anyone that buys GE.

I purchased ge dryer in 1969 and it is still working today. Never been repaired and still doing great. Thpught you might want to use this info someway. Fixing to move and plan on purchasing new one.

I bought a GE dishwasher from home Depot in may of 2013. After 2 years theotor had to be replaced. Good thing I took out a warranty. 1 year later the motor that was put in is now no good. Never buy GE. They stink

Back in 1996, when we completed our new house, I put in all GE Profile (top of the line appliances) with the one exeption of the refrigerator. They never performed well and started dying within the first year. After about three or four years, I had taken the last GE appliance out to the back yard and shot it. Never again will we purchase anything with the GE logo on it. The company sucks bigtime!

GE LED light bulbs are worthless. How can you sell these bulbs that cost 3X the cost of a regular bulb and then make them so cheap that they stop working a month later? I have two GE bulbs that go off and on constantly and it is very annoying. I have bought other brands of LED lights and had no problem. I will not buy any of these bulbs again from GE.

I have been a homebuilder for many many years and have constructed over 3,000 homes. I also have GE appliances in my personal residence. Just recently, my GE profile refrigerator broke. it took approx. 4 days to get a customer service representative out to look at the unit. he indicated that it was a broken evaporator fan which was not covered under warranty. he ordered the part to be shipped fed x and scheduled an appointment for approximately a week later. the day he was to be here, I received a call putting the appointment off for another day. the next day I received another call again putting off the service call for another week. in trying to deal with GE, I found it impossible to get through to anyone who cares about the customer.
the product is junk and one of the local service vendors refused to work on it. most every ge appliance today is made in korea or other foreign land where quality is job 0
bottom line, buy anything buy ge products. they are junk and the company does not give a damn

We purchased Christmas lights last year from Sears. They are GE C5 70 LED. Once on the house, half of them starting to not light up. Our Christmas decorations were a disaster. Of course, I had thrown out the boxes and was not able to return them once we took them down. Very bad quality. Out of 18 sets, 10 of them failed. I don't want to put up the other 8 for fear that the same thing will happen. What a disappointment!

purchased a top loader washer, clothes do not get spun dry , come out soaking wet, when wash is over you lift the entire wash out in one big knotted ball, takes a 1/2 hour to unknot the clothes, GE replaced the motor, said this would fix it, yeah right. clothes come out still dirty, what a piece of crap, DO NOT BUY G E PRODUCTS>

Do not buy the stove. The grates are horrible. they wobble when you stir a pot and they chip and the coating comes off when you try to clean them. Terrible quality.

Laundry washer
I purchased 2 G.E. washers at the same time they were suppose to be a heavy duty washers. One works fine however the other kept flooding my laundry room. Every time the water filled it didnot stop. Had a repair man out three or four times to fix this problem to no avail. GE said they would send a replacement washer same value. I got garbage again. Cheap plastic parts, when I called to find a new timer, because of course there is no warranty left. When I gave them the part number of the timer I took off. The clerk said this was a rebuilt part. This washing machine was suppose to brand new.!!!!! NOT REBUILT.!!!!!! Three washers, and Now still no washer. Will Not purchase another GE Product knowingly ever again.

I purchased a GE built in fridge that has to have custom panel fronts to match kitchen cabinets. My cabinet maker and I went to the GE website to get the dimensions. When they arrived they did not fit. We compared the dimensions again and all were correct. Guess what, when we called GE it was discovered that the installation manual was incorrect and new dimensions were now posted. Even though GE posted the dimensions on line, and my installation manual that came with the fridge list incorrect specification dimensions, GE actually said I am out of luck and that I should not use any of the dimensions that they list on line or even in their manuals. So now I have to re order all new 1k worth of panels. Why on earth would GE make panel ready refrigerators if they can't post the accurate dimensions on line or in their manuals??? I will never purchase another GE product again. They are unreliable.

I am very unhappy with the Hotpoint/GE washer we purchased. It was delivered on May 22, 2012. The Model # is HSWP1000M2WW.
I have to babysit it lately, as clothes have gotten stuck under the agitator. The first time it happened, luckily I was right nearby folding some clothes. I heard a loud screaching noise, and quickly turned the machine off. I opened the door and rearranged the clothing, thinking maybe it was off balance or something. Then restarted it. It spun the water out fine, so thought it was just a fluke. But, since then, it has happened a few more times. I had some items that were covered with black grease which I disposed of and the last time was a bed sheet. There were only four items in the load - two pillow cases and one fitted and one top sheet. There is NO way to remove the agitator and I have been beyond frustration trying to get the wedged fabric out from under the agitator. I wish now that I had taken photos of the white sweater and a louse that had been ruined. I did take one of the sheet, and will continue taking photos of anymore items that may be damaged from the washer's performance. The agitator seems to grab the lighter weight items, although one day there was a towel wedged.
A repairman came today and said that model needed to have the motor replaced. He said he would have to order it! In all the 23 years we had our older washer and dryer, never once did we need a service call!
Doing a search on the internet, I found tens of hundreds of complaints about GE washers. I certainly wish I had done that search before we made the purchase!

We purchased top of the line GE Monogram appliances ($20,000 worth) just over 3 years ago. To date we have had multiple issues with the refrigerator (ice machine, fridge freezing everything within it, water dispenser) as well as the dishwasher (part failed resulting in a minor flood in our kitchen and basement gym/bath). To say that we are disappointed in the GE product would be an understatement. We have had far cheaper products last far longer. GE simply sends a repair tech and fixes it (temporarily) - charging us an arm and a leg for products that should last FAR longer than just a couple of years.

Our GE Frig Mdl GSL25JFXNL is requiring water filters to be replaced every 30 days. Once you insert the plug the water flows freely. But like clockwork every 30 days it clogs and the water trickles out. At $40.00 per filter not a workable solution. The water in the Area has been tested and everything in the frig has been replaced. What's the solution ?
The techs have been friendly and I have had no trouble contacting the service folks. However I believe the problem is related to the filter as everything else has been replaced or checked.

The GE company makes shoddy products. This huge conglomerate got into the Finance business and forgot to make decent products or respect their consumers. My two GE refrigerators (one is the profile model, supposedly better made) break down often. In one the ice maker stopped working after 3 years, and in the other the cooling system broke down just after the 5 year extended warranty. The megatron in my GE profile microwave also conked just after the 5 year extended warranty, and my washing machine has had to be repaired twice in the last 5 1/2 years. If these were occasional problems, one would understand but GE products seem to systematically fail. Buy a Samsung or an LG. There are more expensive (they used to be cheapies but look how these once third world companies now put Western companies to shame ) but in the end the higher costs are worth the cinital expense. GE's busies model almost seems to be make money from repairs and overpriced spare parts while baiting the consumer with seemingly discounted prices. They are a joke of a company which no pride in what they make. Just short-term thinkers aiming at making top management indecent income.

Purchased GE model WMCD2050JWC commercial washer and I am so very frustrated with it. Didn't realize this is only a "shower rinse"!! What the heck? When I washed a load of t-shirts and socks, they were so wrinkled!! There was no ovrecrowding of clothes.Other people have agreed with me when they washed clothes to. Not once but every time I washed, this happened. And who the heck thought of this shower rinse?? It's the worst ever. Clothes just don't seem to be rinsed clean!! Save the environment? I will never wash clothes in this machine EVER! I will go to the laundrymat.

Do Not Purchase GE Microwaves.
I bought a GE Microwave at Loews. It was fine for three months until it wouldn't allow you to microwave any longer. I called GE and they said if I couldn't find the purchase receipt, I should send in the plug and labels from the microwave. I personally mailed the items from my local post office. A person named India claims they never received it. I just don't believe them. They gave me no satisfaction. I will not buy GE 's shoddy products in the future.Anonymous-50020.... January 30th, 2012
Three packages, 6 (SIX) bulbs purchased before the end of the year, one exploded, and the other 5 will only work on the 100watt setting, and not at all on the other two. Made in Mexico, purchased because I didn't want made in China

NEVER again will I buy GE
Purchased a whole Monogram kitchen($14,000) in July.French door refrigerator, pro range top with grill, wall micro, wall oven and wall warming drawer.(oh sorry, the warming drawer is working ok for now) Have trouble with every product! Techs at our house a few times but problem still not fixed. Call and email but never a reply.My dishwasher works but we bought a BOSCH!!!!

Good product

I own a GE Double wall oven, I have been suffering with it for 3- 1/2 years.Now the overlay panel is delaminating. I will end up spending more for repairs and parts for this unit than I did for purchase. Never again

I bought a home with all new GE appliances which for me was almost & should have been a DEAL BREAKER. After 2 & 1half years in my new home I have experienced some difficulties with my ice maker & dish washer , to top that off the other day my GE space saver micro wave wiring caught fire & nearly burnt my house down. I have a huge sink hole on my farm & that is where I put my GE appliances as that is where they do me the most good, in the trash, General Electric makes nothing but worthless junk , It is my opinion that a person would do better to throw their money in the trash than to buy anyGE products.

I am a 60 year old manager in the software industry. I have been buying GE products all my life. I lived in Pittsfield Mass for 10 years and even met Jack Welch. The fact that GE made billions IN THIS COUNTRY and paid no tax in 2010 is disgusting. It is our Moral duty to support our country. You should be ashamed. From this point on I refuse to buy any GE products.
