REPLACE ALL YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS
I've been with GoDaddy for several years with no problems and would highly recommend this company to many of my friends and colleagues, up until yesterday when I spoke with the most vile person I've ever come across in my entire life! His name is Robert. He basically screamed at me and then threatens to cancel my account. I called in because I was not aware my website was taken down for non-payment. Robert said Go Daddy had sent out several e-mails regarding this. The only e-mail I received was on my secondary account and yes, I received several e-mails on this but not on my active website. After being put on hold for 11 minutes(I'm sure on purpose) Robert came back and said he could retrieve my website, however, they would charge me over $100 for this or my other option was to give me the information to rebuild my website for a mere $65.00. What a racket and scam they have going on here. I have kept EVERY piece of correspondence from Go Daddy and I never received any notification that my website was going to be canceled. I asked Robert to resend the e-mails they sent out at which time he said he couldn't because the account was closed???? Robert then preceded to tell me if I would've paid my bill the account wouldn't have been canceled. I asked to speak to a supervisor and he said he couldn't transfer the call but preceded to tell me he has a 95% approval rating. He also could not give me a name or phone number to call to speak with someone above him.

Maybe they should fix their own website first...
I would not recommend Go Daddy, after the disasterous experience I have had with them messing up my website. Their lack of a sensible customer service representative made it quite difficult to deal with the problems.

GoDaddy good, GoDaddy bad
GoDaddy's website is sensory-overload. WAY too cluttered, hard to navigate. Price-creep is setting in, but just Google godaddy promo codes and you can always - always - get at least 20% off your order. Best thing about GoDaddy: they don't hamstring webmasters. You don't have to go crawling for permission to do the simplest things, like edit the php.ini file. Is Bob Parsons a disgusting pig? Yes. Is GoDaddy responsive, rarely down? Yes. Customer service (when they speak English) is great. Customer service (when they don't) is a nightmare. If you have multiple domains/clients/hosting accounts, GD's dashboard feature makes your life easier. I just wish they would quit the upselling, it's getting out of control.

GoDaddy Sucks!!
Talk about a company that has gotten too big for its own good. I had been with GoDaddy since the early days, back when they were priced competitively and customer service was a priority. Now, neither of these things are true. Their prices, hidden fees and tricky "upselling" makes their site nearly impossible. But even worse is the customer service... or complete lack thereof. I had not 1, not 2, but 3 different people on my technical team contact GoDaddy with a problem we were having with our hosting. Each call was met with the person on the other line blaming us and reminding us that it must be our fault since GoDaddy has so many other customers that everything works for. After 3 days of providing evidence that the server they had us on was mis-configured, we finally got through to a person who followed our advice, took a look, and then fixed the problem that was on their end all along. This entire process has made me begin the painful process of moving (GoDaddy makes it intentionally hard I'm sure) all of my hosting and domains to a different registrar. Good bye GoDaddy and good riddance! They won't be the big guy on the block much longer unless they get back to their original ideals and begin running the company with some respect for their customers again.

A great value
Godaddy may give the best value for the products it offers. Its website however can be frustratingly difficult to navigate. Phone support is good but not toll-free.

I just heard Mr parsons on the news about how he was helping by killing elephants who were destroying crops. I know I'm sure as most other people do that he did it because he wanted to kill an elephant & is just using this as an excuse. I'm sure if he really wanted to help he could use the money he spent on this to help in other ways. I will never have anything to do with Go Daddy

This company broke my website trying to install a SSL certificate and five days later my website is still offline. I have told them that this is seriously hurting my business and requested they restore the account from server backups. They have refused to restore the website and keep telling me to wait longer. This is the most poorly run company I ever dealt with.
