We were in JC PENNY AT SHENANGO Mall in Hermitage Pa on Saturday. My husband was looking for a pair of shoes. The men's shoe department is bigger so we were checking it out and noticed the sales! After checking out several pairs of shoes we noticed several shoes with a SALE TAG on each shoe but no price.....the box said $90.00...a clerk scanned the shoe...SALE price....$89.99???!!?? What kind of sale is that....we laughed and walked away. We found a man in a red shirt who said he was a manager....explained our concern....to be honest "he blew us off" to assist a young lady in bathing suits. So needless to say .... we didn't purchase shoes!! We had hoped the manager would have removed those tags from the shoes.....but that did not happen. IS THIS THE NEW JC PENNY!!??

Don't buy online furniture from this company! Pieces that "require some assembly" and don't indicate the need for tools come in a multitude of pieces, with hundreds of assorted screws and connectors, all requiring specific tools. But no problem for me, since at the very start I saw that the base on my cabinet didn't match the diagram, i.e., didn't have holes aligned or the feet. The thing weighed 50 pounds and had been opened, so the only recourse was to chuck it in the garbage.

Old time customer service NO MORE

I ve been to jcpennys three times this week just to see if i was accurate in my thinking that the old style customer service ive known JC Penneys for was no more. I love JC Pennys prices, but there customer service is lacking a little help factor. what happened to people trying to help you find the perfect outfit, someone SELLING an outfit you didnt even know you wanted. I miss the old sales associates that were not there just to take your money, They actually enjoyed clothes and assisting customers, exchanging sizes for you when your in the dressing room and the fits not just right, adding a little something they accesorize your outfit. JC penny always has happy friendly customer service employees that help you when asked, but what happened to not asking. isnt it there job. JC penny could make alot more sales if you actually had sales associates, start giving your employees the right title, CASHIERS

I decided to give JCP another go after seeing new ads on TV. Bought two tank tops. Made in Vietnam. Came unraveled, before first washing. Cheap stuff. I expect more than this. Used your company for 40 plus years. Close your stores until you stock it like it was. I have stuff from the big department stores that better quality than this. We always bought good quality before.Fire top executives and bring back people with common sense and make it a family store once again.

I too have shopped JCP before i was the adult consumer with money. I am sixty years old and a plus size lady; the horrible supply of plus sized clothing in your stores is awful. My generation is the one now with all the money to spend. If there is nothing decent for my age/size group to buy, i am going elsewhere.

Even plus size catalogs provide better selection and quality.

TV ads are great too. I hope you are successful. I just don't think people gave enough time for the changes.

I'm also a totally lost shopper who for my entire life has made most of my clothing purchases from JCPenney. Now there's truly nothing in the whole store that I even want. Their website, which was one of the original order with ease storesites, is now a complete flop. Clearance merchandise lumped in with regular priced items - not that it matters because it's all apparently out of stock. I'm now having to go to multiple stores for the items that I routinely purchased from Penney. Perhaps a good time to fire all top management and start over??

We've been shopping at JC Penney's for over 30 years. We have raised our chilldren on JC Penney's clothes and my husband has bought only Stafford suits from Penney's forever. My mom has also been a loyal shopper at JC Penney's for years.
Now, my husband cannot find the top of the line Stafford suits that he has become acustomed to, and nothing for a tall man. The misses department doesn't accomodate the over 40 crowd or anyone over size 10. It's the over 40 crowd that has the money to spend; did you forget that?
We always took our children and grand-children to Penney's for Christmas shopping, spending hundreds of dollars on each child. Now they're lucky if they can purchase one item.
Our annual spending at JC Penney's has always been in the thousands of dollars. Now, counting Christmas, it's less than a couple of hundred dollars a year.
We are expecting a new grandchild but will be shopping for baby clothes someone else because your baby department leaves much to be desired.
There's something to be said for the "old" way because your "new" stock has chased us and many others away.
We really miss the "old" Penney's stock/selection.

I used to get 80% of my clothes there. My husband got most of his also. I loved the housewares section and bedding too. Now it is all changed. I hate the new "trendy" logo. Nice to have a $10 off coupon except I can't find anything I like any more. I don't like shopping in a Vegas bazaar. Everything is geared for age 15-30 in clothing. I've gone from shopping there twice a week to only once or twice this year. My favorite labels are gone, Easy Spirit, JB Sports, Cabin Creek. Clothing does not fit figure for the over 40 public. The housewares section is cut by 50%, and the last thing I ordered on line took almost a month. Stupid of them to think that someone who did well marketing technology to 15 year olds would know how to market clothing to the general public and keep the customers who have been loyal for 40 years. I go to other stores now.

Don't blame the people that have NOT shopped at JCP-blame the CEO & company for makeing such ridiculous choices in clothing. I am an 78 year old female that cannot find anything suitable in the stores that does NOT have your cleavage & seat-in showing...my parents shopped at JCP when I was a child-always my favorite store-but nothing today for older women to choose from---such a shame. Yes, the coupons were great-took those away---catalogs also---in 2012- & 2013-probably only been in the store 5-6 times...sad-sad...

wow couldn't believe there are so many others that feel like me. I'm also a more mature woman and chubby who used the St john brands, Alfred Dunner's and so-on cuz they fit and worked. Every yr there were new colored t-shirts that fit good. Now I have no where to go. I say we sue JCP for dissrcrimination against former loyal customers they have left!!! The woman's section is smaller, the choices stink!! There must be a lawyer somewhere to help. Even the childrens dept isn't as good. I bought all my christmas presents here for the grandkid. They have even gotten rid of some brands cuz their "gangster" but they were nice sturdy brands and I even liked the sweat shirts cuz they were nice and warm. Let's picket the STORES!! What is wrong with this CEOe afraid to admit he's wrong. Sales have been down per some reports i've read so IS THIS GOIN WELL??????

To thank associate for customer service

My wife and I were in Louisiana last weekend for a wedding. My suit got lost and had to buy a new one. We went to Penneys in Covington La. There was a young woman in the dept. Valeria Dornak who was not just helpful but very knowledgeable about the suits they have. Received quiet a few compliments on the suit and most couldnt believe it came from Penneys. Again THANK YOU Valeria for your service and all your help.

Please fix the online ordering system, this is one of the biggest complaints that we get from customers daily. Items that are out of stock are still displayed weeks after they are sold out, says 4-7 days to the store but in many cases it takes longer than that. Give the people points for paypal. Give them certificates for every 100 regardless of the credit card used. If you want to increse use of jcp credit card, offer 15 for credit card users. Several people that dont have a card, spend more than those that do. We get crushed by Kohls with the certificates because they give for every 50.

Towncraft men slacks. I just find it very
difficult to shop at your stores. I always

SO DISCOURAGED with the new inventory in your stores. I went to the Massena NY store and Watertown NY stores and bought nothing! I could not find my Levi jeans, the light weight vests, the bras that I need. I also give all 4 of my children gift cards at Christmas time, but NO MORE. Your selection sucks!!

Please bring back the old JC Penney. I do not like the new advertising or way of displaying and selling merchandise in the stores. I would rather have special sales, not this new way of pricing. I regularly shopped at JC Penney before you began this new way of marketing and I loved it. I've tried to like this new way, but it does NOT work. I think you are losing business. The stores where I shop had many more customers before you began this new approach. Give me back my old Penneys!!!

Let's go back-to-basics. I always shopped Penneys because they were a classy, middle-income type of store. Uh Uh - not anymore. I left the store last week because I couldn't find the type of casual pants I have always purchased at Penneys. I left the store yesterday because I couldn't find a turtleneck teeshirt. I found both at Kohls. I want to stay with Penneys, but for what kind of merchandise?

keeping me on hold for a long time before talking to the agent

it took me a long time waiting on hold till one lady asnwer my call.

my order was on 5th.Nov.2011 but till now shows that status in process!!!!!


they dont advise why they didnot ship the items and cvv is Missing which i am sure that i put it while purchasing.

they promised to solve the issue hope they will do.
