MajicJack break down and no way to get help easily

Do not waste your money on this product. I purchased a MajicJack "PLUS" for a 5 year period of service. My MajicJack (and that of my partner) has broken down and there is just no simple way to get help through this company. All you get is a run around or get shunted to some outfit (Tech Support) and have to agree to pay them a minimum of $58 before they will work on something that you have already payed for. Now I (we) are suck here without phone service that we have pre-paid for and have 3 years of service left and paid for and no phone and no true Customer Service or Tech Support and no way to get through to get a replacement part or a refund of our unused portion of our contract. This is pure unadulterated fraud and should be investigated by the F.C.C. Do not deal with this company. You will lose your money....

Magic Jack CEO should look at what is going on and make ting right

I have 3 units and placed a service call last September for a defective unit, then place a call to be able to renew my phone number and then today tried to update a separate unit and non of these units I am able to pay for re-subscription. One unit already has an active line til 2017 but I can't renew my phone number. Customer service is totally useless- chat and phone. I cant believe no one takes the bull by the horns and cleans up this mess of an organisation. Its totally disappointing that a once decent product has now starting looking like a crooked scam operation.

They told me I was a probably a thief for using the same credit card to pay for the 3 units I purchased, I made them feel suspicious. I had stayed up to 2 hours many times chatting and it always escalated in the same fashion and I can never get them to take my money or fix my issues. Well it been 9 months and I have not received any emails. However yesterday I received a price increase warning on June 15, that that started to ball rolling again to nowhere.

mymj experience

I had an old mj snd never had much trouble with it. The tech at the shop where I carried it removed my old mj and told me that I could not get it back.
So I bought one, a mj +. Then I was chatting with a tech at magic jack Neil told me that if I would let them register it, then he wouldn't charge me the $63?? fee. I tried,unsucessfuly, to get them to register it all day long yesterday to the point of ordering another one.

Magic Jack is a waste of Money and it is a waste of time! No good reception!

I Had magic jack plus for 1 year and hardly used it. I had decent cordless phones that cost me well over $200 dollars and I used them with Vonage and they worked just fine. Well when I switch to magic jack I could hardly hear a thing! It wasn't just me! My long distance boyfriend now husband had magic jack as well and his acted the same way! My best friend as well got a MJ and she had lots of dropped calls. When it came to renew I tried several times but it wouldn't let me. I finally after asking Siri on my iPhone what's the # did I get a phone # and all they told me is its under review! Screw them! I'm not wasting my money! Noella Forero

Worst customer service ever

my magic jack service expired,when i tried to renew,they told me my account was under review,,,long story,after many days and attempts to renew i was still getting the same answer,,,i was told my service would be started in hours,i was told that a suppervisor was personnaly handling the problem,,,I was told this several times in many days... I eventually tracked the owner of the company,through the public relation officer of another company,he headed and asked them to personnely help me as i needed this service to contact my doctors at the Veterans hospital.... I also explained this same thing to their Customer Serv, several times,,2 hours after tracking him down i had service again,,using their customer service ,iwas 9 days and more than 20 hours with their India customer service,,,,THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD TO TRY AND USE!!!!!!

It's good as long as it works

I have had MJ for our years with only a few occasional problems. At this time I cannot get a dial tone or receive calls. I spent way over an hour on live chat with tech support. No directions I was given changed the fact that there is no phone service. I wouldn't care if I hadn't just spent money on renewing a year of service. If I can't get a prorated refund on unused portion I will be distressed. Even bought a new phone in case the problem was with my phone. Made no difference.

This company should be banned from doing business

I have at least 12 pages of "chat non support" notes from these people. I have talked to at least 15 different people and still cant get the piece of garbage to work. It is the ultimate rip off. I suspect my problems are just beginning as I beg my previous carrier to take me back and try to get a refund from "Badjack" .
Every time the number was called there was a recording that said I wasnt available. After that was solved and reoccurred , the unit would not disconnect after a call. The only way I could get it to disconnect was to unplug the device .

If I could have spoken with someone , I think we could have resolved the issues. I was promised emails that I never received and I suspect that after a while they just cut me off to get rid of me. Dont even think about this product.

on line renewal will not accept my payment

I have tried to renew on line 7 different times with all the same info and same card I started with. Each time it says auth. failed but it goes all the way to my bank. There is no one to talk to your q and a place has questions over 5 days old and still are not answered. I'd like to pay I'd like to have my phone service back. Like the service and have had no problems. However your customer service is really poor.

Once referred friends, now warn them

We were happy with MagicJack and told many people about it. The first year it was $19.95. When our first year expired in November of 2011, the price was increasing but we were offered a special rate for returning customers, 2 year for 1 year at the new price of $20.95. Now, 16 months later, MJ insists we only paid for one year. We are filing a complaint with both the Federal Trade Commission and the Department of Consumer Affairs.

I am an avid linux user (and loathed the notion of having to have a windows machine near me)....the new magic jack hasn't arrived yet and am presently using the old magic jack (had to dig up the old windows machine)....it works fine...audio pretty good...I can't complain (yet).

i recently purchased a Magic jack plus,i have a couple of friends that have used it for a few years.i registered it then found i would be staying at my mothers for a few weeks So i contacted customer service.They said no problem no need to do anything except plug it in .Works great good sound volume very clear.It works out in Odessa mo where T mobile phones don't always get a signal.

I purchased two m-jacks and can not use them

1st one, purchased befor x-mas and had to returned, after i installed my account when ander review???? with out any explanetion, and no one from customer services can get me an explanetion.... then i got a second one an the same,,,,,,,,, what is going on with M-jack customer services SUCK SUCK..... they got my $ 80.00 plus tax and i can not use it, After i spok with life chat person several times still no one got back to me, this is more that two weeks, this is very SAD> DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT..........

Impossible Service

Where do I start. On Jan. 2nd I purchsed MJ via the internet. On the 7th Ihad no service as yet and went on line to India? , no live person . I've spent 10 hrs over 4 days tring to get service.It turned out no one had asked my provider to port #.With that info again talked with India? and got service in 1 day. Had service 1 day and found out aboutthat many #'s within state are not reachable . Had there been up front disclosure I would not have purchased system. The biggest complaint that I have is there is no U.S. telephone # to call to resolve problems . This is a catch 22. or as we say in Maine You can't get there from here. Radio Shack and Best Buy are selling you equipment that you really can't use and the customer relations has a T.S. attitude. Radio Shack is struggling as it is as is Best Buy ,Corporate in both companies has made bad moves in taking this line on. Earl Walker

Too much red tape.

Installation is a hassle and the terms always seem to be changing with many costs added that it was understood should not be. To hard to get customer service as well.

Hi. I used to have a lot of trouble with static myself when I used a phone plugged into the Magic Jack.
Then I found out that I didn't even need the phone.
Now I just use the computer's microphone and speakers to make calls. I don't know why but it works so much better.
Magic Jack is a great Idea and it saves you a lot of money.
One thing that a lot of people don't realise is that Magic Jack is a very small company as far as the number of people. They don't have hundreds of people hanging around to answer the phone. Maybe that is why the cost is so low. So cut them a little slack. Yours truly Warner.

I have had MJ since the start i think 6 years and it is by far the best money i ever spent.
On second thought maybe what i spent on a antibiotic to save my life was a better deal.
MJ works so great that shame on people that complain about it. Want to be able to talk to customer service go pay 12 times or more with another service.

Not a good product

Magicjack products are notorious for being difficult to install. Once they are, they work fine, but the startup instructions are quite difficult to understand and use.

i think that is a scam to get people money in america for a service that they are unable to use. we need to expose the company and get our money back and shut them down for good. i am going to try the social media you tube or facebook to get some results after 24 hours if they do not clean up their acts.

Service

The customer service(order/billing) department (Mary,Sam(billing mgr)and Melody all sound alike) is NO help whatsoever. They do NOT understand my concern.If they can Not help, they say "I think that I have answered all of your questions. Have a good day," then they hang up on you. They also have NO phone numbers for technical support. And if it is not in the script, they have no answers other than hanging up on you.

Too Good to Hope For

It was bound to happen, I guess. I bought into the MajicJak a year and a half ago, experiencing minor difficulties, but not enough to stop me from buying into the 5 year plan. Since then, the ability to call 'Anywhere in the United States and Canada!' as was advertised, has continually dwindled. The business of not being able to call a land line that wasn't part of Ma Bell in 1983, is simply a 'crock'. Fine print my Hinder! You all knew this was going to be the case when you sold us the plan, and now you're forcing us to buy prepaid minutes? It's just another scam, and I will tell everyone to stay away from your sorry stinking convoluted mess of a telephone plan. You should just all be so ashamed!

Ported Numbers cost extra

There are 2 licenses with magic jack. There is one for the device and one if you port your number. It cost $22 to port your number and $9.99 each year to keep it active. The $19.95/year is only if you buy 5 years for $99, otherwise it is $30 per year. The $99 is only for the device and yearly you must renew your ported number for $10.43 including a Regulatory Fee. No ported number no extra charge.

I've had MajicJack for over 4 years and mostly pleased overall. The cost is certainly great and connections are as good as I can expect but I have had to replace the unit twice from failure. Last time was only months after the prior failure & Each time it cost the unit price to replace. I believe a discount for failed units is called for as the failure was unit related certainly not caused by my actions.
I still feel this is a terrific deal but extension phone must be limited to 1 other and wire should not have multiple connectors for best results. my extension was over 50' from my computer and worked well but when additional wire was added it degraded signal badly

UNHAPPY CUSTOMOR

VERY POOR SERVICE!
they canceled me for execive use no warning no refund no reconect cant sell it to get money back ,cant be used again ever by anybody.I have 2 majic jacks one regular and 1 mj+ ,on the call log i exported it list calls made and received for both numbers they said this was not so so i copied and pasted to our chat still
no luck there were a total of 140 calls over a 20 day period for 2 majic jacks and that was execive use ?

Thieves with FCC License

This company sells you an inferior product, do not honor the 30 day money back, do not have customer support, and will take your money on renewal but will not give you the extended service.

The FCC is allowing them to continue operating, it is shameful that the government does not do anything.

Horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had my MJ number since it first came and that is years already and I never had a problem until yesterday. Now the whole number vanished from my back panel and when people call me it tells them this MJ number is not assigned to anyone and now anxiously trying to get help and wow customer service here is horrible. I Have been waiting for online help for so many hours. Did this just happen to me.

MAGIC JACK SUPPORT IS TERRIBLE>

WE have used magic jack for over a year happily and loved the original product. We though it was spectacular until we needed to keep up the registration or get help.

I cant say how terrible Magic jack support is. Originally they said they were going to get back to me and it has been over 4 months, I contacted them again and no follow-up. I bought another Magic jack to avoid talking to their terrible live chat customer support and the new magic jack doesn't work. How could you be so cheap as to have no customer support.

MAGICJACK VERY LOUSY TECH SUPPORT/WEBSITE/ACCOUNT LOG-IN

Im trying to renew my magic jack & im having a hard time doing it..... Service, live chat is hard to reach, reached them yesterday but had to chat with 3 agents, all of them didnt solve my problem. Now, I cant connect to them anymore. Outstanding product while it was working, good product if you can get it to work, VERY LOUSY CUSTOMER SUPPORT/SERVICE. You just cant get hold of anybody, if you can they cant fix your problem. VERY LOUSY WEBSITE & ACCOUNT LOG-IN, you cant do anything there you're suppose to do. Billing Problems

We tried to extend only a year, entered credit card information. When click, comes back and says "not accepted" CC problem. After 5 attempts, with 2 different security codes, first name, and full complete first name, gave up and called bank. Our bank said the transactions (5 of them) were accepted and gave me the authorization codes. But to now, nothing in our account, and I do not want to pay 5 years at higher price, for something that probably will be closing down soon due to poor quality, no customer service, and really false statments. BE AWARE of them!

Poor or no customer service.

I purchased a magicJack about 2 weeks ago. I have tried repeatedly to contact customer service and each time I reach a pre-recorded message to place an order. tried using the virtual and still no results. Does anyone have the number to customer service that allows you to actual speak with someone? I have not been able to use the device yet.

Poor Customer support

I have had Magic Jack for 3 years. I travel for a living to Iraq, Afghanistan Europe, Japan,Guam and the Middles east . During that time it has been an outstanding way to call family and friends. I also use the international service and up until recently it has worked without a problem. 3 days ago I called Guam at 4:30am pst and was able to complete the phone call. That evening I tried to call and got an error message "You have entered an invalid destination number please try your call again later." I have been chatting with the live customer support for 3 days and nothing has happened. You cannot call anyone or speak to anyone except billing and they are useless and sometimes rude. I have recommended Magic Jack to many people throughout the years that all ends today.

Horrible Customer Service

Purchased 4 weeks ago with written confirmation from MJ+, that it will work for my fax machine or FULL refund, including fee for transferring my number tio them. Device was not working 99% of the time, this is whe real problems begun. Was trying customer service phone, but NEver was able to get trough. Tried chat, but was disconnected from them each time,I was looking to cancel my service and was asking for refund. Now 3.5 weks later I still DO not have a refund, and my original service provider AT&T was not able to swith my phone number from MJ back to AT&T. 3 weeks for the procedure, which takes 3-5 bus. day with everyone else. Did anybody got luck to get a phone number for customer Service? Did any attorney would like to consider this as a class action????

MAGIC JACK SCAM

I bought a couple of magic jacks a couple of years ago. Decided to use one for a callcenter, I got a number (347-757-5841), but one day, as I was doing telemarketing with it,my magic jack did the magic and blocked all incoming and outgoing calls. Oh I was very upset, but it got worst when I tried contacting their customer support, that is when I found out that if you make over 50 calls a day from your MAGIC JACK they have the right to block your device FOREVER.
After all the fuzz, I decided to use my second device, as soon as I plugged the blessed thing into my computer it gave me the beautiful choice to get my old number back, and since I had made that number the "OFFICIAL" number to my business, I thought that would be the best thing that could happen to me...
...So I went ahead and picked the sme old number (347-757-5841). 2ND GREATEST MISTAKE EVER, the FIRST MISTAKE was to buy the MAGIC JACKS.
My second MAGIC JACK was also blocked immediately, so I contacted theis support guy who tells me that he will work on the issue, that they do not have a solution for my problem and left me with two useless magic jacks for 2 years of no service, what a scam, DO NOT BUY MAGIC JACKS, they will use and abuse. By the way, they have a log of calls made from your device, and guess what? Some one else was using my device remotely to make calls while my device is blocked by MAGIC JACK, what a RIPOFF

i p$ut money in my account as pre paid i called overseas and my $ 10.00 is only 45 minutes,they said 2 cents a minute or i can save 95 percent for international call but after 45 minutes my $10.00 is gone.

Switching from old Magic Jack to Magic Jack Plus

Basically found out the hard way that Magic Jack does not switch old to new. All they want is to sell the new device and try to make you keep the old device. I purchased Magic Jack Plus thinking that I would transfer all the funds from the old Magic Jack device to the new Plus device but was told that the old device cannot be canceled it can only expire six months from now and I would have a choice in renewing the plan or not. Six month from now????? Also had prepaid international minutes on the old device was told that it cannot be transferred either and that I would have to use them with the old device only. I was hoping to get rid of the old Magic Jack device but now I cannot because I have these funds in it.
The performance of the Magic Jack Plus sucks. I followed their instructions in connecting the device to the Netgear router it works for one call fine and all next calls I cannot hear the other side but the can hear me, and everyone knows that chatting with their tech support never gets anyone anywhere. The only answer I get from them is restart you modem and the router, which I do only to get the first call in or out so now I am forced to use the device the old way, by connecting it to the computer. Anyway if you have not bought it yet DON'T DO IT... just use the old device or return it on the first day if you notice problems with it. I made a mistake and had no time to test everything with in the first 30 days, I did it it after 20 and thought I was doing something wrong it turns out that the device is buggy and cannot return it anymore.

3 hours on live chat 8 different agents spoken to issue not resolved

I spoke with 8 different agents on the live chat to fix an issue that should have taken a few minutes. 7 of the reps very unprofessionally closed the chat with no warning nothing because they couldnt fix the issue. My bank that I have been with for 10 years Wachovia NA was taken over by Wells Fargo in 2011. In January all of the old customers were issued temporary debit cards and after ordering and the monies immediately debited from my account 81.64 on 1/11/12, my bank sent the new permanent cards to the customers replacing the temp cards and now magicjack wont use my new debit card number for 30 days after ordering due to the clause try before you buy with a CREDIT CARD you have a 30 day free trial if you use a debit card the free trial doesnt exist its immediately paid for from your bank account so I cant register my account or use my old number for 30 days and I will be moving 1/21/12 and will not be able to use my old number after I turn my phone service off 1/21/12. Thats the ONLY reason I ordered this stupid jack so I could keep my old number while I still own it! If I cant use my old number, and have to get a new phone number when I move, I dont need this useless jack...looks to me like this company wants to go out of business before they even get started. Never saw a company that refused to take money and had the most disgusting customer service I have ever encountered and I train our customer service reps at the company I work for...VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. I am calling the better business bureau tomorrow as well.

MagicJack plus

The instructions to register and activate MagicJack plus were easy to execute. The results of trying to make a phone call were lousy. The people I called, all had trouble hearing me. I could not receive incoming calls. People had to call me on my cell phone. I tried for HOURS to get MagicJack's on "Live Chat" to no avail. MagicJack plus stinks! The promoter is a liar. Period.

Magic Jack is HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!!

This company is the worst company I have EVER dealt with!! They ported my home phone number without my permission, after I cancelled the order. My phone company gave them my number without my permission again so now I have no home phone! The magic jack did not work and they still charged me 21.00 to port my number. They will not refund me. They lied to me numerous times. You cannot talk to a live person, if you do, they can't help you anyways. The online help will take you an hour or two to converse with someone who in the end will not even help you! PLEASE do not order anything from this shameful company!!

Bad technical support and warranty is virtually useless

I bought two MJ+. One worked great and the other works only on the computer and not when plugged into the router.

Tech Support was a waste of my time. We paid the additional 5 years at time of service and now have a faulty product that must be returned in original packaging, pre-paid shipping, and I will be charged for additional shipping for them to return the product to me. So, replacing a product that did not work when I received it is going to cost me money and it means I will be without the MJ+ for about a month (2 weeks to send it back and another 2 weeks for them to return it).

If this was my only phone, I would be quite alarmed rather than just completely annoyed that I have paid for 5 years of service including a warranty.

If they would provide appropriate customer service, this product would be worth having.

Magic Jack is the bomb!

I have owned my MJ for three years and have moved back and forth from KY to Fl. and it works perfect every-time without fail. Free 411, free voice mail free call forwarding, free 911. I get no telemarketing calls! How sweet is that!! I use to spend $100.00- $150.00 a month for phone service. Now I spend 20 bucks a year!! For as good or better service. I HAVE A MAGIC JACK ON MY COMPUTER WHICH HAS WORKED WELL, BUT WHEN I TRIED MAGIC JACK PLUS, NOWHERE DID THE COMMERCIAL EXPLAIN THAT IT WOULD HAVE TO BE PLUGGED INTO MY ETHERNET PORT, WHICH I ALREADY USE FOR MY COMPUTER. THE GUYS AT RADIO SHACK HAVE A 5-PORT ETHERNET SWITCH THAT THEY LIKE TO SELL TO SOLVE THE PROBLEM BUT IT DOES NOT WORK IF YOU HAVE A MODEM INSTEAD OF A WIRELESS ROUTER. BEWARE OF ALL OF THE SALES PITCHES. THEY CONVENIENTLY LEAVE OUT IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT MAY END UP COSTING YOU MORE MONEY. Are we using the same MagicJack?

For two years we have been using MagicJack for all of our outgoing calls. We have two MagicJacks so that my wife and I can have our own. We have had a NO problems at home. Once on a trip we tried using it on a laptop connected to a very slow network and had problems. We felt there were too many people on the network for us to get enough time for decent response times. Also, when I wanted to renew, I had problems figuring out how to get to the right screen. Actually had to call for help -- operator error : /
We regularly recommend MajicJack. In fact I am going to give one to a friend for Christmas. However, I am going to hold off on the "plus."

Rip OFF Magic NO JACK

Wish I could give this a negative rating. This is only the 2nd time I have been motivated to write an online review about a product on the internet.

I purchased Magic Jack in July 2011 because my friend recommended it. I am on limited income and wanted to save money "a lifetime of savings" sounds too good to be true? What a joke. I quit att and even paid Magic Jack to keep my old number. All together it cost about $100 for this "lifetime of savings". From day one --I have had problems. The audio quality is very poor...there are echos, voice skipping, beeps, sometimes the answer machine works, sometimes not. I spent hours and hours on their Live Chat help..tried many different things, that might help a little for a few hours ...then the poor quality is back. Each time I have to explain the problem to someone new..and each time they led me to believe the problem would be fixed...what a waste of time. The last 3 times I contacted them through Live Chat...I asked for a refund or a free upgrade to Magic Jack Plus. I was told I would have had to get the refund in the first 30 days. And I would have to pay for the Magic Jack Plus.... What a rip off!!! Our phone has not worked right since July. It is costing me lots of extra minutes on my cell phone just to have a normal conversation.
I would not recommend Magic Jack to anyone unless you are a masochist who enjoys aggrevation. All I want now is a refund so I will be able to connect a phone to a real phone service...oh how sweet that will be...to actually understand the person at the other end!

How can I get a refund ?

I purchase this jack it work well but customer service is sooo bad, I was billed 3 times for over $250 dollars for a purchase of $82.00.They keep billing me every week so I had to cancel my credit card to stop this nonsense. I will never see this money again and they can't tell me why I am being billed non stop like that. They have no phone number only chat ??? hello they are selling a telephone jack for god sake. I think their payment site is not secure at all, and I keep receiving email to tell me that I did not pay for the jack and to enter my credit card number .Some scammer got hold of their web site and they can get all the information they need to billed you every day if you dont happen to look at your statement . So be aware of that, I spent numerous hours on chat to try to get reimburse for the money I overpaid, like everybody else they say wait 24 hours you will get a credit, but every time they billed me instead ! same amount every time.

POOR service from the day I ordered

The order took over one month to receive and only after many e-mail contacts Idid I receive it. Now 2 months later I am trying to get it to work .!st time on help line took 11 hours , worked for two days and then started dropping calls again . After many calls , I have now been sent to their Tech. engineer for study , most likely will never hear back . From my experience , NEVER touch this product

Absolutly no customer service

I installed the device and it worked good for about 2 months, then we couldn't hear anyone on the phone, so being a technician I checked it out and found the device was bad, so I tried to call the tech support but they don't have a phone number AT ALL for the entire company except for 1 number for billing but you can't get through that number because it's always busy 24 hours a day, I tried hitting redial for over 3 hours in the middle of the night and still busy.

Excellent and cost effective product

I've used MJ for 2 years now. Never had a problem except for the occasional dropped call, which happens very infrequently. Renewed my subscription for a 2nd year and again, on billing problems at all.
Audio quality: Excellent, as good as it was when I had phone thru my cable provider.
I frequently call overseas and again, no problems making or receiving those calls. And no problem making payment for international calls.

Possible double charge for ONE service to MJ+ and old unit.

Upgraded to MJ+ and using old MJ number and same account. Works great but they show 2 'subscriptions'. Have not been able to get an answer if OLD one expires or auto-renews for a double yearly charge.

Everything I have read suggests 4 main USER problems.
1 - Not enough USB 5V power with many different and confusing symptoms.
2- Internet not fast enough for the old MJ and worse for computer usage at same time.
3- Internet speed just adequate but even MJ+ rendered useless by sharing it on a Wi-Fi router; need to apply PRIORITY to MJ+ with QOS option on router.
4- Unable to call some rural areas where MJ has not installed equipment. If this is a problemm do not buy MJ, or retain another service.

Paying for their useless support sucks so maybe we can help each other and they will eventually include in FAQs.

Cost effective, with worrisome drawbacks

Provides reliable service with good voice quality for a rock-bottom price. Unless you're really hurting economically, however, it's a bad idea to have this as your only phone source. That's partly because it's computer-based, and you won't have phone service if you can't use your computer. Even more important is that user support is essentially nonexistent, so if there's a problem you'll be hugely inconvenienced. Another negative is that (based on present practice) upgrading will be the same as purchasing from scratch -- no credit for what you already have.

A better alternative (again, depending on your economic situation) is to retain your landline coupled with free Google Voice.

Magic Jack Don't Work The Way They Say !!

Been online with then once a week reporting same problem now for 8 WEEKS . Friends trying to call me and get recording saying number changed or is not working. Other friends get recording saying number is being treated as local call but is a long distance.
They ask me the SAME questions every time. Tell me I am a priority and that their engineers will work on it and I will get an e-mail. Going into my 9 th week with same problem!!! No e-mail still don't work. THEY FIX NOTHING

What you DONT realize is that you are not getting all of your calls. When people dial from certain numbers they get a recorded message that the number they are dialing is a non working number. You don't even know it cuz your not getting the call. So you won't be so happy when you find eventually that some important call did NOT go through and you missed it!

This company blows! All my phone conversations were completely inaudible. I gave up after several months and stopped using the service. Then to my surprise they charged my card a year later for renewal of services without my permission! I called this "billing" number and sat on hold on a limited cell phone for more than an hour without ever speaking to a person! Then I had to go through hell with my bank to get this cancelled. I had my Majic Jack stolen....I can't believe I am unable to contact someone to report this and find out how to receive a new one. When I click to ask a question I was told it would cost me $48 if I was 100% satisfied with the answer. This is unexceptable and just wrong. worst voip ever

Magic Jack offers voice over ip phone service. It runs across your existing internet connect, either broadband or highspeed dsl. Cost is cheap, and you get what you pay for. Because it uses your existing connection, it ties up your bandwidth and slows your surfing to a crawl, also if you need technical support, you will have to find it on your own as theirs is non existent.

Good product for the price. I can make and get calls with no issues anytime. No problems like anyone else on here complains about. Just remember that for a $20.00 a year service, I would not want to go replace my other means of communications with this. I have my cell phone but when I do not want to use up my minutes I grab my magic jack and every time works perfect. Could not be happier.

I ordered 3 majgic jacks back in Spetember 2008. I used magic jack and it worked good. There has been a time of moving and reloading my computer and changing internet service supplier. I trind hooking up magic jack again and it doesn't recognize anything. I can't logon. My email has changed and my registered email for this doesn't work. I tried my My logon and it isn't recogonized. I tried chat and it says my email isn't recognized. I have my order # and password and everything. I just want a person to talk to. I'm getting very frustrated.
