If you are going to buy a tablet, laptop or mobile i suggest you not buy Microsoft product. They are the most worsest servicing in the company. Talking to the customer care or sending an enquire to tjem is just to make pain in your A** if you dont want to regreat it then just don't buy the product. I need to send my surface pro 1 for repairing so i send a mail and try to make contact with the customer care its useless. you know what, if you want the product its ok buy it but i am 100% sure you are gonna regreat it. Buy surface pro for 40k and sell it for 5k after 10 months later thats gonna be your choice. Worst product and customer care+ the most worst servicing in the world especially in India. Think about it before you get one. This is the FACT

I purchased a Surface 2 in 2014. It has been in for repairs three times. Who needs the aggravation? I would never buy another Microsoft Tablet.

LOVE MY XBOX

Microsoft is a great company. I love there products, things like windows, and the xbox separate Microsoft from other company's. The xbox is a very console with much better internet than PS3. Overall Microsoft is a great company for computers and gaming!

Super hardware

I am using Microsoft wired keyboard and mouse on my computer.I have tried some other keyboard before i brought this.None of them supported the multimedia functions in vista, but the Microsoft keyboard supported it.I feel the Microsoft basic wired mouse is one of the handy mouse i used ever.I really love it.

The biggest mistake you ever made was to release Windows 8. This platform is the worst there ever was. You can't find anything, you can't change anything, all you can do is spend hours surfing the home screen to try and find what you want to do. Also, How the heck do you shut the computer down? It's almost impossible to find the shutdown button. Do yourself a favor and recall Windows 8 and go back to Windows 7.

PS: I have run Windows since I could run the entire platform in a window of Deskview.

Microsoft has made the installation of its Office 2013 Home and Student Edition fully automatic. It forces you to use its non-customizable Click-and-Run installation. You can no longer choose which programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint or OneNote) to install and you cannot uninstall any one of them without uninstalling the whole suite. You also cannot choose what and when to update. In short, Microsoft wants to make up your mind for you and gives you no space for any individual choices. My last three messages to Microsoft have remained unanswered and its CEO Steve Ballmer has deleted my message without reading it.

I am legal owner of 2 windows 7 operating systems. Both machines have moments of unresponding to me. Very annoying! Hardware is all idling and I have to wait for what? The second machine is far worste then the first. SFC /scannow reports that it found integrity violations. Did it fix those violations? Attempts to get help from Microsoft have been futile. The product is crap and they expect me to pay for product support. I want the product to do what the previous OS did. Windows 7 is a big step back from Windows XP Pro. On top of all that; Windows 7 did not come with a mail client, WordPad defaults cannot be changed, and I am expected to buy new software(Matcad 8 for one) just because. As a computer user since the DOS years I don't like where Microsoft has brought us.

Easy to use interface.

Unlike Macs, where it is a pain to find the files on your computer, Windows has always worked like a charm. While XP has everything going for it, 7 doesn't fare so bad either.

Windows 8

Microsoft recently introduces a new version of windows ca it as WINDOWS 8. Its fast and more reliable. Lots of new apps added to it and they tried to make this window more user friendly.

Flips and Flops

Microsoft has had a large number of products, some of which perform great, but some of which are notorious flops. I have been happy with Windows 7, but abhor Windows Vista. You really have to look at Microsoft products on a case-by case basis

Bill Gates = Genius. Microsoft Operations = Numbskulls.

The idea of a PC is genius. Unfortunately BG didn't have the wherewithall to hire people who understand execution and delivery. I converted to Apple a long, long time ago out of sheer frustration with: an interface that is the equivalent of having to dissemble your car engine in order to understand how it works; constant updates, downloads, service packs, drivers, etc. that run in the background and slow my speed down to nothing; having to click through 3 or 4 redunandant links to get to one stupid thing; cheesy graphics; worse clip art; buggy word-processing and spreadsheet programs; complete and utter graphics INcapability; blue screens of death on every PC I ever owned (I can fix my own Mac in 4 minutes flat). Incomprehensibly bad customer service, and not only that, they make you PAY for it. The list goes on and on and on and on and on ........

RE: Windows 7, XP Mode

Spent most of the day with Level 1 tech support who was unable to resolve my validation issue. Was escalated to Level 2.

Level 2 was unable to resolve my issue, so they connected me with the "Safety Department". The Safety Department said I needed to remove SP1, but since SP1 was installed as part of Windows 7, I would need to do a clean install with a version of Windows 7 that did not come with SP1. OK. I did that. It did not fix the problem.

Called tech support. Found out that my case # had been closed and I was required to open a new case #. Fine, except that opening a new case # put me back to Level 1.

Spent another day on the phone with Level 1 who escalated me to Level 2. I was sent an e-mail indicating that a Level 2 technical support person would call me on April 4 at 10:30am Eastern time. No one called me.

At 12:30pm, I called Microsoft. After replying to the options of the automated phone attendant, including furnishing my case #, I was transferred to Customer Service who asked me if this was the first time I was calling. DUH!! If this was the first time I was calling, I wouldn't have a case #. Then I was asked for my case #. I just told the automated phone attendant my case # - why do I need to give it again??? Then I'm put on hold while my account is "updated". I'm finally transferred to technical support who tells me that they are unable to transfer me to a Level 2 person. Level 2 is via call back only. The problem is that Level 2 never calls back the customer!!! I was told that my case was assigned to a "manager" and that I should reply to the e-mail that I received regarding when they would be calling me. OK. Fine. I did that. Still have not heard from Microsoft.
