Nikon does not test non nikon lenses with their cameras. Very short sighted for those of us who cannot afford the best glass, but still love the nikon body.

I wonder is Nikon put SWM in the lenses just to make profit out of repair? it's nearly half of the price of the lens. RIDICULOUS!! I think I'm going to consider other brand of lenses instead of Nikon so-called "SWM" lenses.

Pics are fine but...
The pictures I get from my friends' Nikon cameras come out great, but I wish that they weren't always so pricy so they wouldn't be out of my (and many peoples') price range.

I would like to express the need for Nikon to put some quality specifications on their Coolpix models. We have just sent in our second camera to be serviced and repaired in the last 1 1/2 years. 2 cameras that cost us more to have them looked at and then repaired than it did to buy them originally. $100 deposit that is only returned if we agree to have the camera fixed seems excessive and binding to us as customers. It is a shame that both cameras couldn't last for longer than a year. The second camera only making it from Christmas until April. I would hope that someone in your company would take a good look at their quality and at the cost of a costumer looking into repairing a faulty camera. It is very unfortunate but I will not buy another Nikon and I will recommend that friends look into other camera companies as well.

bought a nikon coolpix belive it was a s 210 model did not last verry long had lense error messeges all the time do not wast you're money reading on the web there are a lot of these problems with this camera maby thats why they do not sell them at target anymore the camra sucks took good pics before it took a dump took it back to store and got a sony

My Nikon camera pictures came back just terrible! I thought it was the store developer's fault. When I discovered it was my camera I called Nikon support help and was very pleased by my technician's advise. Not only were we on the phone for what seemed like an hour, the camera is now in perfect working order!! Thank you Gustavo, G. I hope you get a raise!!!!
