The men's shower is cold it has been cold it's always cold and they have not even tried to get it fixed they don't care that it's cold no one hardly takes a shower because it has been and is always cold no help no answers no effort ok since that's the way they wanted I'm starting with the BBB and the department of health houston tx division and see if they can JUDGE you into getting the hot water working to be continued.......

I really enjoy Planet Fitness. It is comfortable going there without any judgement. However; the only thing I would add.....are the spinner cycles.

I am a member of planet fitness danbury.when I first joined it wasvery clean..that has changed drastically.The locker rooms are not kept clean..The mens locker always smells musty.Hope this improves soon..at this time I would not recommend this location.

planet fitness cortland ave in stamford ct has one set of handles ( grips ) for free motion machines. there are seven machines with one set of handles............and a few old ragedy handles that have been there for years. i just looked on amazon and the cost of one set is $13.50. am i to assume the people who have the franchise are not making any money and can not afford to spend $100 for replacements? i was told three weeks ago they have been ordered. from where ?? amazon gets them to a place in less than a week. also the clips used to hold the handles have just been replaced after weeks. these are the types of things that should be held on hand at the front desk. this is the kind of care for customers that will kill your brand name. cortland ave in stamford needs to be closed for a week and redone with new equipment.

Cancel Hassle...clearly a scam to make money.

It is all a scam to get your hard earned cash directly from your bank. Try to cancel or get any info on how to cancel and you are directed to blank. Either a miss Malissa tells you off (homestead), or you get blank stares, or miss information. Or this site has no answers. Don't get into this scam....stay away!!!!

Stay Away...

They charge double a year, and refuse to fix it...they also refuse to cancel membership, making mistakes to their favor. Do not get into this mess. Not worth it, too smelly, dirty and the lady at homestead branch named Malissa claims to be manager is very rude. She is not fit to be in charge.

The City Is Growing!!! La Fitness Is To Far Away And There Is One Gym The Size Of A Closet Everyone Can Not Fit Into Here. Sucks!!!

Planet Fitness in Medford, NY - I am a new member and was excited to be in a newer location. I was disappointed by the unsanitary conditions. There were members that were not cleaning the machines they were using and no one to notice, there was a cigarette butt on the floor next to one of the workout machines in the 30-minute circuit workout, and the bathroom had sanitary napkin wrappers, toilet paper and paper towels around on the floor.

Ambassador Caffery franchise is no good in my books

I went to the gym to cancel my membership and since I did not request to canel it before the 11th of this month I had to pay for another monthly fee how stupid is that. I paid my cancellation fee for early termination and the gym club nor corporation would cancel the payment for the 17th and today is the 15 how sad. Saying that they could not stop it; whoever is running that corporation need to step up and treat their customers better than that.

pf charges me a $35 fee for insufficient funds on the same day they were suppose to take out $19.99. you're trying to tell me regardless of how much money I had in my account that my bank would rather give you $35 and not $19.99

Complaint

I have submitted a complaint with customer services as well.
It is through sheer frustration that I am forced to write this letter.
IâA533;A533;m absolutely certain that this nature of communication is one of many that you have received.
This letter involves one of your Gauteng branches (South Africa).
This sorry story started towards the end of 2011, yes, two thousand and eleven, and in spite of the obviously empty promises, we still have no solution, or even an offer of compromise.

My daughter joined one of your gyms before moving to Cape Town, in an attempt to get into a little better shape before moving down to the Cape.

She discussed her requirements with one of your sales personnel, stating that she only required a short term arrangement as she was moving in a few months. It was stated that this was not an issue, she was informed at all she needed to do was to submit a termination letter giving a monthâA533;A533;s notice and the company would do the rest. The sales person obviously lied, probably following one of the training modules set up by your company.

The first termination letter was sent 26/01/2012 âA533;A533; and a follow up was sent 28/02/2012, as no response from the company was received, and money was still being TAKEN from my daughters account.
I made numerous contacts with the branch in question, both by e-mail and by phone.

Eventually I received a response, and it was stated by the manager of the branch that there was no record of these termination letters, basically making me out to be a liar, I immediately forwarded the letters in question, and only then (September 2012), did the manager offer to investigate the situation. Needless to say, I heard nothing, and only on receiving another communication from me did the manager respond, stating that the letters of termination had been considered in the calculation of what my daughter owes, the amount of R3882.60 was payable, for three months, good grief!!

I asked why the business kept attempting to TAKE money while weâA533;A533;re trying to settle the situation. It seems that the policy states that it will continue to do so until the amount is settled in full. I used the word business as it is certainly treats the gym as such, and not as a service to the public.
We kept minimal funds in my daughters account for this reason, and each time the business attempts to take money, the bank stops it, and charges my daughter R100.00. On reporting this, the manager didnâA533;A533;t really care about the situation in which we find ourselves.

I have made numerous calls to Head Office in an attempt to speak to someone who is actually prepared (or indeed capable), of resolving the situation, but I canâA533;A533;t get past the receptionist! I was told that this situation must be resolved at branch level. What happens if the problem is at the branch, why is your Head Office in existence?

I have made three visits to the Gym in question, and on all three occasions the manager was not available. I did however manage to speak to a number of other staff members during my visits, one (an assistant manager), did not rate the current manager very highly, one of the statements used was: âA533;A533;useless, âA533;¦âA533;¦âA533;¦, does nothing. I was assured that I would receive a response by the following Friday, needless to say, I didn
On a subsequent visit, I was told to write another e-mail to the manager, once again attaching all the required documents, and sending this person a copy, as they couldnt do anything without the manager3;s approval, but if the manager refuses to act on this what chance do we stand!

I have obviously had a great deal of time to look into this situation, and found some disturbing facts.
The sales person mentioned above, has since been fired for the way he conducted business on your behalf, interesting indeed.
I was recently informed that my daughter has now been handed over for non-payment, which means that your business obviously endorses the ripping off of customers, even though you do terminate the employment of certain people who conduct business incorrectly why should we pay for this con. Perhaps the sales person was fired because of the adverse publicity, or maybe they were just caught.
I really have time to continually pursue a solution, but I did have time to browse a web site called HELLOPETER, perhaps youâA533;A533;ve heard of it. Wow you must be real proud. One of many sites with numerous complaints!
I chose not to make my comment on this site, as it would be like a drop in the ocean.
It was disturbing to see so many complaints of the same nature, and I include a small sample of headers below:

RIPPING CUSTOMERS
Cancelling contact - they wonâA533;A533;t me reimburse
Contract termination
Cancelled contract in 2012, payment still being taken off
15 months of billing without even a membership card
Contacted by debt collectors
Misleading and Unprofessional

I notice a pattern here.
ItâA533;A533;s apparent that your business doesnâA533;A533;t really care about these sorts of complaints as at last reckoning, less than 8% of these have actually been addressed.
This particular extract, from the first page, (of 33 entries), only one appeared not to be a complaint!

ItâA533;A533;s quite apparent that the public are misled into signing similar 36 month contract on the assurance from the sales persons that they can in fact terminate at any time (without consequences).

I certainly look forward to a response of any kind in this regard.

I have deliberately kept the names of the Branch and staff out of the document for now, in the hope that someone, somewhere in your company / business actually gives a damn.

I am also a member of the Palm Harbor location,and along with dirty conditions the staff with only a few exceptions is not friendly,members are routinely threatened with cancellation over minor rule infractions, at this gym the price and location are great, but the conditions are not.

Plant Fitness in Palm Harbor, Fl has the most disguisting/filthest mens locker room floor. Plus the air vents over the cardio equipment has nasty crud blocking air circulation besides contaminating your lungs. These vents and the TV's/anchors have not been cleaned in many, many years. Management refuses to do anything about this problem - so the next best solution will be to get the FL Health Dept involved. No excuse for such filth - I don't care if the membership fee is free!!

planet fitness is meant to be a judgement free zone . where any and everyone can workout at their own pace and their own style.. that was the main reason i wanted to join theis gym . but during my first workout which was today . i realized this gym is very judgemental against body builders . there are signs with body builder that have x's marked through them . then a sign tht says no "lunks".i really feel like this goes against everything that this gym stands for and needs to be removed. i plan on leaving this gym very soon if it is not

What happened to ABC channel??? I was told ABC was no longer allowed. I use to enjoy going to the your gym, excercise and get lost in some of the shows. Now it is so boring! I am so sick and tired of sports and constant news and commercials! Not everyone enjoys constantly watching what you picked out for us. Do the customers have a choice. Seems it's all geared toward men and even they are bored with what they see. Ask the customers and see what we would like. I'll give it a little longer and if no changes, I'm moving on.

Hi I am a member at Planet Fitness in Carolina Puerto Rico. I joined as a Premium member and that includes the free haircuts.
I have called to make appointments and everytime I have called they tell me that it's already full for the day! They said to call at 8:00AM only and at 8:15 when someone finally answered they said it was full. How can that be true? Why don't you offer more hours or service!?? This really sucks and I might not renue membership just because of this issue!! Need to improve!!

I was with PF for a year and didn't lose see any results. The "personal training" is a lie and a joke; the trainers only walk around and tell you how to use the machines. Useless! I called and said I wanted to cancel and when I drove down, they said I was 3 days before my year was up and tried to charge me 58 bucks for early cancellation, even though the girl on the phone said I was past my year. I threw a fit and they waived it. They did charge me for a full month since I made "a change to my account" after the 10th of the month. I joined a real gym 2 weeks ago and I'm already seeing results! Don't waste your time with this fraud!

Why is it so difficult to put one TV on MSNBC? Why do we have to listen to the distortions and manipulations of LYING FOX NEWS? Why won't anyone make an effort to correct this situation at Planet Fitness?
I would never have joined a right wing gym if I knew this in advance.

In February I joined the new Planet Fitness in Victor,NY. Previously I belonged to the same gym for 10 years. I joined Planet Fitness because of the low cost. For the most part I'm happy with the gym, but there are a few things that that bothr and irritate me to the point that I am considering cancelling my memebership. The staff in Victor is very accommodating, but they are limited when it comes to repairing broken items. For one month one of the locker room sinks has been broken. One of the shower's in the locker room has been broken for 2 weeks. One of the two massage charis has been broken for 3 weeks and now one of the blow dryers have been broken for one week. For a corpoation as large as Planet Fitness I find it very poor business to not repair the broken items. Antyhing broken longer than 1 week without repair is inexcusible! I doubt I will reamin a memeber for very much longer. Planet Fitness I am very disappointed in you, you are not what you advertise to be!

My name is Joey Misciagna and have been a member of Planet Fitness on South Avenue In Staten Island, New York for four years. I like to comment on a manager at this location. Her name is Krystal Sanchez. I have never met Ms.Sanchez until I changed my hours from morning to evening which is better for me. I found Ms.Saanchez articulate and assertive with a creative mind. Unlike the manager that she replaced which was a yes man with very little manager skills. I found this location a much better place to be at and much cleaner and neater. I challeng any of the corportate to prove me wrong. Congradulation Planet Fitness for finding the right person for the right job. Now I know that I Belong!
