Needed Pet Friendly Room & Got No Help

I wanted to bid on a room that was pet friendly and the bidding page did not offer a place to indicate that. I called the number for customer service on the sight and was told they were only for helping booked reservations. I asked who I should talk to about this and they told me there was no phone number other than the number I was speaking with. They suggested I go to the website and see if there was possibly a question and answer on this same problem. I dont have the time to sit and read thru hundreds of Q&A to see about this. When I have a problem, I want customer service to help me. Therefore, I will not be using Priceline to book any room and it is your loss because I travel on a very regular basis since I am retired......with my pet. Good rates are one thing but you have to have good customer service to go along with that. Take a look at your ratings and let that be a clue that you need to improve!!

Charged for two different rooms on the same day and they will not refund me

The customer service and help is horrible.....I stay at the Doubletree in Denver on April 10...on the morning of the 11th I was trying to extend my stay for another night....I must have accidentally clicked on a different hotel then tried to go back a page and fixed it and priceline still charged me and also charged me for the night extension at the hotel I was already at and now will NOT refund my money although they can clearly see what hotel I actually stayed at that night

Is this for real

We have tried to get a flight discount for the last year.
The most we have asked for was 7%. The last time we asked for a discount on a ticket that is 632.00 for 32.00 less than 7% and again can't help What is the best way to handle this

DO NOT RENT A CAR THROUGH PRICELINE

The rental car organization WILL cancel your reservation for your car if your flight is delayed or if you have any cause for delay that exceeds 2 hours. You will then have to pay for another rental and you WILL NOT get a refund or ANY customer satisfaction from Priceline.com.
DON'T DO IT! THERE ARE TOO MANY REASONS TO MISS THE 2 HOUR WINDOW AND PRICELINE IS MORE THAN HAPPY TO KEEP YOUR MONEY!

Priceline is a scam artist and lied to me.

I tried to pick up my reserved Priceline car from Budget on 03.02.13 at RSW Ft. Myers. There were over 75 people in line at Budge and the counter help said it'd be 2-3 hours before they could get to me. That's completely unreasonable, so I went to Alamo next to Budget and they provided a car immediately and honored the priceline price as well. They were extremely pleasant and accommodating. I'd never used Alamo before.

I understand that Priceline isn't a a good sport and won't refund the amount I spent - my bad for trying to get a lower cost deal from a shady company - but I asked their online chat person if I could at least get a credit. She told me, in writing (I have a copy of the online chat transcript), that I would get an email with a link that would provide up to $25 off per day for 5 rental days for a car. Better than nothing. But wait...

Imagine my surprise (not really) and dismay (very much so) when I opened the link and found $10 off per night for a hotel stay. I don't use priceline for hotels - I use other membership vendors that provide much more discount than priceline.

So I'm wondering if the customer service chat woman lied to me (in writing) or if priceline is trying to scam me. Maybe both?

I've hesitated to use priceline because it seems that each time I use it, something bad like this happens. It's definitely not been worth any discount I might have gotten.

This was the last lesson in using priceline that I'll need. I don't believe they're reputable and certainly not worth the hassle of saving a few bucks.

shady deals galore.

The "good deals" given to me by Priceline always seem to be plagued with fine-print fees and other things that they fail to mention until way too late. Take their suggestions with an entire saltshaker.

Too much unknown to be worth the value.

It seems you get what you pay for. There is no way to know what you are getting into, could be a terrible hotel or anything. Also the cancellation policy is about nonexistent. All in all not worth it.

We are currently staying at Stone Mountain Inn and Suites in Tucker, Georgia. Booking number 984 160 429. The ceiling in the shower room has damage from a previous leak from the room above. The damage was painted over and is now exposed again, not very sanitary looking. When taking a shower, you end up standing in two to three inches of water due to, I suppose, clogged drains. There is a one inch gap at the top of the front door allowing whatever!! to enter the room. This gap also provides an excellent pry joint for anyone wanting to break into the room. One Flourescent light in the bathroom is inoperative. There is no globe on the exposed light bulb in the shower room, this could be very dangerous.I can send pictures if you like. In addition to the above,our room rate was predicated on a room with two double beds, microwave, small refrigerator and small seating area. They placed us in a room with a King size bed and none of the Amenities listed above.My wife and I at our age do not sleep in the same bed.We will have been required to eat out at restaurants each of the four days we stayed here. We are unable to place food in the refrigerator or heat it in the microwave. Unfortunately, that expense is not in our budget. I went to the office today and paid an additional $24.00 and informed them of the problems in the room.It is my opinion, we are deserved a full refund. We would have left the first day, but the sign in the lobby states you must cancel within ten minutes of entering your room or there will be no refund.We are here visiting Doctors at Emory Clinic for medical needs, the appointments were very difficult to make and rescheduling would have required us to drive to Tucker Ga from Florida again, an expense that we cannot afford. Please Help!!!!!!!!!!

My spouse was in the hospital the night before our trip. When I tried to cancel they said tough. This was the first and last experience with Priceline.

"name your price"???

Priceline boasts in its advertising that it allows you to "name your price", yet when I used their services, the site forced a trip schedule on me that was not only far more expensive than ideal, but was off by several days. Non-refundable, to boot. Just don't use these guys.

Unable to Book; had to use Cheaptickets.com

entered information 3 times....the first two kicked me out, the third has been "working on purchase" now for a very long time. had to book elsewhere while this is still trying to get it done. Customer service is a joke and is automated but leads you to believe you will get a live human. Never again. just sold the stock too.

No way to get there, nor is there a way to
make a reservation talking with a live person, as there once was. You can only confirm a reservation already made and I tried 3 different numbers they supposedly have.

No support for customers

I booked a motel through Priceline.com. When I got to the motel, I found that it was a dump and that the motel website was inaccurate and misleading. I contacted Priceline.com for help. They made a couple of calls to the motel manager and totally took their side against me. Priceline.com then told me that there was nothing they could do to assist me and that I'd have to deal directly with the motel. Why would I use Priceline.com for future reservations if they aren't going to represent me, the customer, in this type of situation? The information/description for the motel I got was through the Priceline.com site...why wouldn't they be responsible for the content? This was my first (and probably last) dealings with Priceline.com.

Priceline hotel = BED BUGS!

BEWARE!!! Priceline is terrible & could care less about their customers well-being! I found out the hotel they gave me has BED BUGS & when I called them they read to me from their script like I'm an idiot about not being able to change my reservation. Really?! Oh the hotel told them they don't have bed bugs...surprise, surprise. I trust the TripAdvisor reviews. Don't ever use pricleine unless you want to sleep in a hotel with bed bugs! They won't do anything about it! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! They only care about their "partners".

DO not use priceline if traveling with
chirdren and want a bed to sleep in....

If you are traveling with children, do not use priceline. I checked into my
room party of four. Granparents with
2 children ages 9 and 3. I was given a room with 1 queen bed.I ask for 2 beds
I was told I has to upgrade for 25.00
( I had already spent 100.00 for the room) I ask for a rollaway bed or crib
I was told no the room was to small and
because of fire rules I could not put another bed in the room. There was not even a chair in the room to sit in.
Priceline would do nothing to help me.I will NEVER use priceline again.

ECOM LODGE MOUNT DORA HORROR STORY

A horrible listing on your yellow pages. I made a reservation at Ecom Lodge in Mount dora and it turned out to be a disgusting hotel, pool closed by health department, paint peeling. room air didn't work, and electrical outlets didnt work, stove in kitchenette did not work. Needless to say we cancelled our reservation and walked out in horror. The worst place I 've been not fit for listing on ANY WEB SITE. PLEASE REMOVE FROM YOUR SITE AS A HOTEL.

A real ripoff

They booked me into a hotel that turned out to be not dirty, but actually filthy. It stank of stale cigarette smoke, but the owners claimed the room was a non-smoking room. There were bugs crawling all over the bathroom...little ants I believe. Light switch at door didn't work; tv remote didn't work. I checked out after one night, but the hotel claims I stayed. I booked a second room for those nights also through Priceline.com. I believed they were remedying the situation. But they will not support my claim for a refund from the first, filthy hotel. So in conjunction with the dishonest, dirty people there, Priceline.com is cheating me. Evidently nobody regulated them.

It's average

I think priceline is average for the online travel booking sites. The prices are generally the same, although the name your own price can be cheaper--althogh you sometimes end up on crazy flights with tons of connections and excessive layovers.

pricebreaker, more like moneytaker!

i was staying in a room i booked through priceline. i wanted to stay another night so i went to priceline to book and as i was waiting for the approval. the front desk walked by and i asked how much if i stayed another night. before he answered me, priceline charged me for another night at a price higher than the hotel quoted. so i read the priceline dealbreaker and realized i had found the same hotel same room same day, for less. what happened next i can only explain as a horrible p.r. on pricelines side. they refused to honor the dealbreaker. they even called the hotel to verify, they still did not honor their so called pricebreaker. the hotel felt so bad for me that they gave me an extra night. homestead suites in brea ca. god bless you

Priceline

The one time I used them and accepted an offer their supposed"4 star hotel" was the worst hotel I had ever stayed in, and upon checking other sites the same hotel had a 2 1/2 star rating.

I had to go to olympia Washington for a funeral. I was meeting up with other family members and needed to book two hotel rooms. I used priceline for the frist time and was very disappointed with the hotels and prices I was charged. I saved $10.00 the first night and the hotel had a dog show going on, the dogs barked and howled until wee hours in the morning, then started in again at 6:30am. We complained to the hotel but got no results.
The second hotel was just as bad or worse. The rooms had a bad odor, the beds were hard, no amenites, extra charge for wifi.We will never use priceline again.

I do not appreciate the way Priceline has handled my first reservation with the company. I was not able to get a refund because the reservations are nonrefundable. I will not use Priceline again because I just paid them for a service I did not receive. I cannot imagine that anyone is conducting business in this way with the competition for customers so high. Thank you Priceline, if the first experience has been as good as you advertised then I might have tried you again.

Today I booked trip, hotel & airfare for myself and my husband. Well I accidentally entered his middle name in the last name field. it was a silly mistake, when I called customer service they stated they could not correct the name, the only option was $500 cancellation fee, and then I would have to rebook but since the hotel could not be canceled, I would have to book flights only which is significantly more expensive. A rep, a supervisor, then his supervisor they could not help, finally I called the airline, and they changed the name on the ticket free of charge. I will never use Priceline again!!!!!!!!!!

I experienced the complete opposite of almost everyone on this page. Priceline was great! I made an error and Steve helped me fix it and be on my way. Priceline is the way to go. I saved hundreds on my car rental in Orlando, and when I made an error they were there to fix it.

I cannot even express my disappointment with your company and service. I have been a customer for years and Ive always taken the time to complete all your surveys and hotel surveys with a smile. After my last reservation I can honestly say unless I hear from management on this matter, this issue and recordings will be sent to the media on how I was left abandoned in the parking lot with no reseveration. I have never experienced a lack in customer service until I spoke with 5 of your employees to end with one telling me she will hang up because they could no longer assist me. This was after I told her I was recording each call for my protection.
To sum up my experience, I booked a hotel from your website in the same area as I have in past bookings, this time it was a hotel I'd never stayed in. When I went to review the hotel I noticed a customer saying how much they loved that this hotel allowed all animals to stay in the hotel. On your website that was never disclosed at ALL. So I took it upon myself to call the hotel direct to see if they had a section where I could stay since Im severely allergic to cats & dogs, she told me they only had certain rooms that required a fee and explained I would need to call priceline to see if they would be willing to resolve the matter. I called as I was on the road to customer service and I was told by your rep.Leo that he would place me on hold and would take care of it.When he returned he said there would be no problem and he called the hotel to work resolve this issue. I waited on hold for quite some time, when he returned I was told that he couldnt help me. He told me my only option would be to cancel my hotel. I then asked how would they take care of me, he mentioned I would be credit fees immediatley then I would be able to book another hotel, I then asked how would that guarantee that I wouldnt get the same hotel and his reply was because I will transfer you to one of our representives. I then asked would all the fees remain the same since I didnt have anything left in account, he replyed Yes they will and you will be able to choose your hotel in the same area. I was so excited because I would normally be booked at the Marriott. He told me not to worry and he would make sure the representive would have notes. I was placed on hold and was cold transfered to Amelia, she didnt have a clue of my situation and told me that she could get be at the hotel of my desire but she couldnt keep rate the same it would be $100.00 more per night. At this point I was frustrated, I now have 1hr away from surgery, I told her that this couldnt happen and to fix this, she placed me on hold wrote notes and transfered me to lauren, who then transfered me to a rep.named Dan. Once I was warmed transfered, Dan seemed to be my hero. He said he apologized and without a doubt would make sure I would be ok. He placed me on hold to review account,when he returned he said he would need to call hotel to reinstate the cancellation and upgrade me to the pet free room of $20.00 mre a night. He did advise me that it would be a charge on my card but he would have the mananging team contact asap. He said he had to email them because that was the only point of contact. He called hotel and spoke to Serena, he then said I could go into hotel and check in. I was crying the whole time on the call on which is recorded and very frustrated but after speaking to Dan I felt relieved. I then called the hotel and spoke to Serena and she said had a problem she mentioned that the hotel had no way to reinstate that and said priceline would have to redo the reservation and she would hold the room upon waiting for the reservation. She told me she was placed on hold after 10mins of waiting your customer service rep. told her to tell me to call in because they couldnt assist her. I was lost for words, Im now 15mins late to my appt in a parking lot with no room to check into. I called your customer serv. dept and this time spoke with Joe, he mentioned that he couldnt assist me and that I would need to speak to client relations,,then I was transfered to Chelsea#cen00809..She opened with pricelines greeting.."Im here to help your" at this point even the those words were frustrating to hear, she told me to explain the situation all over again and I opened with this call is being recorded,she said ok, then told me that she was sorry but there was nothing she could do, told me that I would have to wait 5 days for my refund which I stated that even the recording said a different time frame and in 2hrs I was told 3 different things. She said Im sorry but we cant help you. I told her No someone has to help me, she replied that there was no one higer than her department and I shouldnt have cancelled my reservation, I couldnt believe I was hearing these words, I then told he it was not my fault and to read her notes I told her to please transfer me to Dan and she said she had No notes in the system and there was no Dan there. I explained to her that I have proof of the call plus Serena from the hotel and she said Sorry I cant help you and sorry if Im not hearing what I wanted to hear and if i didnt have anything else to say she would be ending the call. I told her do you realize you are not providing customer service by saying that and Im left with no hotel, 45mins behind for dental surgery and no extra money in my account. She apologzied again with a very cold Sorry and said she was hanging up. I called the hotel spoke to Serena and she said she was truly sorry and that no one from your department seemed willing to resolve my issue. What happened to me?? After the stress,devestation I had to call my doctor to explain the reason as to why Im behind and I had to make a rsv through Hotwire for one day just so I could have a place to check into after my appoint. I returned home in pain a day earlier than plan because, #1 the credit never was applied, I never recieved my 2day stay through your company and I was overdrawn the time i had to make another reservation on top of the $203.00 one I made with you. My Case #926-525-951-02 my cancellation #30767423.. I will be waiting to hear from management on this matter. I will also send a email with last wav.file and I will have the rest ready to be released if needed. I want to remain a happy customer with the service Ive used for many years, I am seeking that there is a disclaimer or method to fix this issue with pet friendly hotels.
