Dropping the ball

This is second round with staples. First review wasn't good. Staples corporate contacted me and made idle promise of money back. That's all it was ... they too have become unresponsive and store is closing tomorrow. Good riddance

Use it to send your packages!

Staples opens at 8 am and will give me a receipt for my prepaid UPS drop-offs -- unlike my local Mailboxes Etc. shop.

Spent the day at Staples trying to correct errors made on their behalf. With a positive attitude I continued to try to problem solve. A banner, some business cards and 250 photo copies. Spent three days and ended up with a totally botched up and half completed job. So frustrating......never again!

Great customer service.

I went to my local Staples yesterday to look for a replacement laptop power cord. The sales clerk I spoke with politely told me of the various options available to me. While I did not make a purchase at that time, I can still recommend the store to others.

A-Ok store

Staples isn't always my first choice when it comes to buying a computer or other major buys. However, when I need to buy supplies or make copies, I come to Staples. They have a team of people who well help you with whatever you need, and the deals they have are usually outstanding.

Very poor experience w/online tech support today. I have above average IT knowledge base, I have above average IT knowledge base, and feel anyone who is unfamiliar with even rudimentary skills (seniors in particular, co-workers, including various family members who call at odd hours for their own free "US-based support". Also, I was under the belief I would be dealing with "24/7 US-based-based support by phone or web chat". I don't have a problem with “24/7 non-English-1st-language support” as long as the person to whom I am talking is able to understand me, vice versa, and more importantly, when accessing my PC to observes the problem, they allow me to demonstrate steps I have already taken to resolve the issue using visual example before barreling ahead via remote access, moving too-quickly to allow me to make a verbal remark about the approach they are using. Today, I am stuck with 2 desktop monitors, with extended desktop, saturated with literally hundreds of indecipherable icons that are a result of the tech rep's "solution", a series of actions that led to the mess long after the rep. had hung up.

I have recently been the victim of a Staples Cash Card fraud. A Staples cash card has an 18 number sequence on the back of the cards, But only the last 8 digits are different.
Someone used my card #, not the card, and made a purchase and drained the balance of $500.00 off the card.
I became aware of this 2 days after it happened, and within hours, I founf the store location the fraud took place, the date and time of the fraudulent transaction, the register # where it happened, and the cashier # that typed in my card #. I then contacted the store manager and filed a police report.
I did all this within the first 5 hours I knew the balance was drained off the card.
I have been contacted back from Staples twice regarding this.
The first time I was told by e-mail from Joseph U. district manager, "There is nothing myself or Marsha (store manager) need to do."
Then I was called today by Michael S. and was told that this is no longer an open case, and that Staples will not reimberse me in any way.
Although Michael S. was very profesional, I believe that there was no customer service at all.
In over 2 weeks, I was told 2 things, and 2 things only, "There is nothing "we" need to do." and "There is nothing we are going to do."
Loss Prevention still has not returned any of my calls.
I am very unsatisfied!!!

I'm 70 and not the most computer-savvy. I purchased a new Canon all-in-one printer recently at a Staples store where I've been buying all my office supplies for years. Because I'm on a low income, I didn't buy the service plan with the printer.
The new printers are more complicated and I was having a bit of trouble setting it up. I called Staples with a couple of questions and the tech first asked if I had bought a service plan. No. Then he couldn't help. Could I pay for his time? No. He suggested I call Canon.
My relationship with Staples is over.

I went to the Staples store on Spruce St. in Tampa, FL to buy some new printer cartridges for my Lexmark printer. I knew the cartridge numbers but they also had cartridges that were twice the ink, looked the same but had different numbers.
I asked a clerk if they were compatible. She looked at me as though I had asked for her first born male child. I was bluntly told to look on the box and see if my printer model was listed there and she walked away almost in a huff. I asked another clerk because I did not write down my model number, only the cartridge number. I could not believe it but she was even ruder than the first telling me that I should know what I am buying before I came to the store! I simply replied that she should know what she is selling before coming to work ... then I left. I would NEVER go to a Staples store again; it seems to me all they have working there are cashiers with absolutely no knowledge of the products they sell and certainly no knowledge of how to be polite to customers.
