Service

I have been a time warner customer for more than 40uears and I have NEVER had an issue with the cable service. The ONLY issue I have is when I have to visit the facility on JOHNSON Rd. In Portland MAINE for ANY reason, I ALWAYS have to stand in, a LONG line! Or seems they never have enough help ! I. Am 82 years old I don't��t like to stand in line! They should have an express windo for someone who just want to exchange a remote or return a box or pay a bill or any minor reason.

Twc sucks. I've have nothing but problems since day one that I got the service. My cable cuts in and out and freezes up. Internet is good though. The service is very pricey for crappy cable.

Poor Customer Service - Billing error and collections - Time Warner

They are undoubetedly very disorganized and inefficient. I cancelled service November 8, 2013 and paid bill in full. I just had to return box which I tried to twice but office was closed the first time and the second time closed due to power outage. I finally returned 3 weeks later. I then was told I may get a bill, I said why, but lady at store was like well, that's just how it is. You will have to call customer service... I said, arent you that? No, cant help you was the response. I then get a collection bill for $110. I called and talked to a rep for quite some time. He said well I try to get it fixed but cant make any promises since it went to collections. Ugh! Since then I have gotten daily calls and hangups for this bill. I have sent them the info and included copies of the returned box and they continue. I am filing complaint with FCC and Corporate office. I just dont understand how they can continue to give just terrible customer service and still stay in business.

Time Warner's internet service is so slow I can't open up half of what I should. Their service is slower than my dial up with Fairpoint and at about the same price.

No HDTV Olympic coverage

In typical TW Cable fashion, channel 481 is unavailable on a day when one wants to watch the Olympics.

Time Warner Cable's service is THE WORST.

Terrible service.

Time Warner has the WORST services any where, for example, my DVR-Cable box has been out for four days, this is the latest problem at my house. I bought a new HDMI TV and can't get it to work since the cable cannot launch. Supposedly there is an "outage in the area".

Great company.

I've only ever had one issue with Time Warner. And that was when I originally signed up for service. They told me someone was coming, but whoever put in for the service never completed the order. So, when that day came around, I called. They took care of it right away and gave me a free month of service. Best customer service I've ever had to experience.

Timewarner Cable Review

Timewarner cable is another one of your top cable companies. Although its not as popular as optimum or verizon, they still provide exceptional service. The basic package comes at an average price with a decent amount of channels. My only complaint is that the main movie channles which usually shows the most recent movies. Overall Timewarner cable provides exceptional service.

Worst service & products I have ever seen

My family has had problems with our TWC services since day one. I have no idea how a company that is this established can have such terrible products and services and still be in business. We have had TWC for over four years and the only reason we haven't switched to satellite is because we have to purchase DirecTV through our community and the prices are much higher going through it that way. We are planning on moving in a couple of months and once we do, we will NEVER use TWC again! The screen is always choppy or we get the error message that this channel isn't available right now, our boxes are ALWAYS screwing up. We've had several different boxes and they all do the same things. Also had several service men come out and "fix" the problem for it only mess again within a few days. When we record shows, sometimes it will say that it's been recorded, but when you push play, it automatically goes to the end of the show and says you can't watch the episode. Fast forward on the DVR messes up all the time, you fast forward through the commercials and when you push play, it starts back at the beginning of the commercials and you have to fast forward all over again. We have to reset our boxes several times a week. It's extremely frustrating when you pay such high prices and still have such terrible services! I would NOT RECOMMEND TWC to ANYONE, EVER!!!!

Very frustrated customer

Our family has had issues since day 1. Everything from frozen screens (for minutes at a time) to black screens that pop up in the middle of a show with the words 'Please wait....They've sent service person after service person out promising the issues are now resolved, only to find they are not. I actually find the Customer Service Rep's to be kind and apologetic. The one thing I find as a customer that's most appalling, is while they so recognize these are legitimate issues, they have NEVER offered a discount, some sort of pkg deal (anything at all) knowing what we've been dealing with. We are paying for service that we definatley aren't receiving. The ONLY reason we haven't canceled their service is, we're moving here soon and we WILL NOT have them as our provider ever again. Signed..VERY Frustrated and dissapointed

This cable company sucks, constantly looses signal,you turn on and off the cable and yet it is frozen then all of a sudden your tv turns off and on by itself because it needs to "catch up". never had any problems with cox cable but unfortunetly i don't live in their service area. I am thinking of cancelling TV service considering 60 percent of the time it isn't functioning anyway

I wanted to find out why time warner on demand is always skipping chapters..it didn't bother me so much when it was one chapter..lately I have been bummed out that its 3 to 5 chapters. This is on telemundo on demand and univision on demand. Me n my sister enjoy watching on demand but get discouraged when this happens. Please fix the problem or let me know why it happens...

With Time Warner Cables choice to either lease their modem or buy a new one, customers will pay in more ways than one. Motorola's 6141 Modem is being sold on Amazon for $129.95. Motorola's waranty is for one year. During that time it will be replaced if it doesn't work. Per Motorola it cannot be repaired. Guess what happens if it doesn't work after one year. It gets thrown out and you buy a new one.

I dont understand how you can morally charge people for channels you duplicate two and three times just because you put a different title like entertainment and learning and discovery etc... Most probably dont know they are paying for channels more then once. Plus you keep raising the bill four to five dollars more a year after falsely stating you wont give into channel raise demands. One day you will pay for the ripple effect you are causing your company even if does take one person at a time to wake up. I hope you enjoy the money you make and spend now for its only energy . Its up to you how you want to the end result to be positive or negative for your personal lives which only you can control. Which for me i will end your greed on my part and pray more people will wake up to it as well.

Cable Service is not reliable

We have had TWC for years. In the last few year our service has become a huge problem. We constantly have to reboot the system to get it to work properly. We had the tech out to the house - he was great in that he replaced connections, cables and gave us a new box - but the problem recurred. I agree with all the other posts in that no matter when you call, the wait time is more than 15 minutes. If we get Fios, I am switching.

dont run an internet company if you cant keep it up 99.9% of the time. i mean cmon! in the middle of the day!! ive lost so much work already because of time warner fail slug internet..my 14.4k modem runs faster than this crap right now what am i paying 90.00 for that a 14.4k modem does better?

I hate Time Warner, but then I had Comcast for several years and I hate them too. The two major cable companies in the entire country are both giant, money-guzzling machines who know it's pretty unlikely you're going to get service somewhere else.

I hate the Time Warner remote/box interaction. That's my beef. The other stuff just comes with the game. The remote/box interaction SUCKS. Sometimes it recognizes the signal and changes the channel. Sometimes it doesn't even respond at all. Sometimes it reboots itself in the MIDDLE of my programming. Often the HD channels don't work, or I get a black screen with audio. Just now, it wouldn't let me change the channel because "PIP" was on, but it wasn't on, and even after I went through the motions of turning it off, it still gave me this message.

This is the one industry on which the future depends, and that depends on the future, and until the gov. steps in, they've got us. Oh and if you think you've got it better because you're getting satellite, those companies have some similar issues and drawbacks too.

I have been a customer of Time Warner for at least the last ten years. When On Demand began I had to constantly re-boot my cable box. Sometimes I will be in the middle of watching a program and the screen will freeze. Many times the On Demand is not available at all and I live in downtown Manhattan so I am three blocks from their HQ. I am seriously tempted to end all Time Warner services and move to Verizon Fios for internet and TV. I also have to reboot my wireless modem every other day. In short, Time Warner has the worst service I have ever encountered and I have lived all over the world and had less problems with foreign service providers.

Lack of concern for customers

recently T V Guide channel removed so customers who have basic cable no longer get an overview of whats on tv. I feel its to get us to purchase a more expensive service. I also notice stations being taken off basic tv and you can only access them on the more expensive plans. Dont you make enough money withoul robbing those of us on a fixed income or who only have basic needs. What next? Will go to another company who seens to be more conserned about their customers!

Service with Time Warner

They have terrible service. They leave you on hold FOREVER!! Then do NOTHING for you, just tell you they will send someone LOL in a few days !!!!
The only service that is WORSE is AT&T they are the worst

Time Warner just graced us with service. It was out about three hours. Thank you TW, but this was the last time you will get to screw us. We switched and will have new service by Friday from someone else. TW is awlful, picture freeze, no picture, picture thinks its a jizsaw puzzle. And they had the nerve to call me several times about getting phone service with them. Bit of advise never, have your phone service with your cable (when one goes out they both go out) and if you have TW you will be OUT a lot. Bye-Bye TW

TWC less than oriented to the customer

To whom it may concern,

I am writing to address concern about recent events of TWC customer service. I suggest you listen to all of my calls to have a better insight as to the lack of customer care, addressing and resolving issues. My account number is: ################. Over the past few days I have been appalled at the way you customer service personnel have dealt with our issues until after 4 days and numerous calls a representative by the name of "Joe" actually took the time to resolve the problems. These were problems brought on by the actions of TWC changing channel package line-ups without advising us and making us very agitated and frustrated with your company.

It was discovered the original package line-up we had agreed upon was changed without our knowledge, and apparently the knowledge of many of your customer care representatives. Thus we were informed of having to pay extra fees due to the shifting of channels from one tier to another without informing us, and by all accounts many of your reps. Yes as demonstrated by the phone conversations I hope you will be privy to, we became more and more frustrated and disappointed with how your staff tried resolving the issues. All of which could have been avoided if we had known that channel line-ups were indeed changed. However with our original contract the original channels we had come to enjoy should have been made available to us as the contract was broken. If we as consumers break a contract ie; don't pay our bill, return equipment, we are held accountable and liable. What about TWC? In essence you broke our original contract and did not advise us of your cable channel changes. Should TWC not be held accountable? Should resolving these issue not be reflected to addressing customer frustration and rectifying these situation and compensating the consumer? The consumer who can easily then take their business elsewhere. When do corporations step up and take accountability and do the right thing? Greed is vicious and indeed a selfish desire for something that dismisses the very people who have brought you wealth.

Yes the tone of this letter is frustration and contempt. A tone that I am sure is echoed by many a client that could be avoided if corporations such as TWC rethink how and what we, the people actually mean to companies.

Lately it seems my computer is on dial up instead of "high speed." It's incredibly s-l-o-w. Also, my TV will freeze and then the dreaded MYSTRO will come on. Time Warner is a POS. I'd switch but my business needs my existing email address.

Annoying

I have never been so bombarded with unsolicited spam as I have with TWC. They send me junk snail mail, email, and even call me while I am at work to try to get me to buy more services. I would almost rather pay more at another company just for spite!

I ordered and installed a bundle package with TV/High speed Internet and Telephone with Time Warner Cable. Right on the first night, I had problem with the internet speed and frozen, I got up 3am to 5:30am in the morning with the technical support team, the results they still couldn’t fixed the problem, and then day later, TV having frozen, again! Another 1hour on the phone wasting times, 5 day later the problem remaining the same. I haven’t had not good service and satisfaction with Time Warner Cable and they have not delivering as they promising. Finally I have to disconnect the service, but then I got in to the serious over charge to account from the customer service. !!!!! Beverly Adams. Please be aware when you think about using Time Warner Cable.

This has been the first time I have had this much trouble getting help with Time Warner in all the years I have used TMCThe phone response timwe has been extremely slow.The technical help was very short and blunt.They were not as helpful as usual.

I'm upset Now there taking away some of my cable stations, Free On Demand On the Move
Starting April 6, On Demand programs from AMC, Bravo, Discovery, FX, Syfy, TLC, and USA will move from Primetime On Demand to Entertainment On Demand, channel 402.

Why the change? As the On Demand choices continue to grow, we continue to work on ways to improve how the On Demand portals are organized. Going forward, Primetime On Demand will continue to offer programs from the broadcast networks such as ABC, CBS and NBC. Popular entertainment from the cable networks will be in Entertainment On Demand. Don't forget to check out the other great Free On Demand options on channels 400-499! I cant afford digital cable what about the poor someone should buy them out i'm depressed

I shut off my service in Dec '10 and have been trying ever since to get the $52 credit they owe me. It is now March 31 '11. After months of telling me that the refund is in the mail but it takes "a long time" to get it from Ohio to California they are using a new tactic. Now they're accusing me of stealing the modem. In order for them to send me the money they owe me I need to produce the receipt from when I handed in the modem in December. WTF? WHO KEEPS RECEIPTS LIKE THAT FOR 3 MONTHS? I am beyond livid at their unethical business practices and I will fight this battle until I eat up far more than $52 of their customer service rep time.

I know TW is trying because every time I call customer service and reach a person, they follow up with an automated customer service survey, which can be more annoying than the original problem. Their real issue is than when things go South, literally thousands of people may be affected and their resources are not adequate for those surges. I often (like yesterday, 3/27) get a message that says something like "assistance is not available" and request that I call back. That's about when I give up and get cynical.
