I used Titlemax Title Loans in Goose Creek, South Carolina unfortunately!
The referenced company repossessed my car while I was in Georgia. I had no outstanding balance for nonpayment. The Georgia Titlemax called Goose Creek and made it sound as though I moved and was trying to skip out on my title loan. I know this because the very first thing Monique stated when I called was Georgia Titlemax called and said I was trying to get a loan from them. I replied yes, they're Titlemax. Monique said I can't do that. I didn't know this. I stated that I'm up to date with my payments. The only balance was for being late. Which was $15.00 per day. Monique replied they can't repo you for that. Well they sure did. I was staying at Motel 6, packed up the car and went to say bye to someone. When I walked out to the parking lot, my car was gone. They never sent me a letter to cure, never emailed or called me. Monique stated they sent it to the address on file. Well with me in Georgia I was not at that address. The letter to cure provides a window of 20 days to come to an agreement. I bought my car back from the repo and my brakes were f'ed up! They stole items from me, as well. Then approximately two months later I received a call from Titlemax the girl said she was calling to collect a payment. I stated my car has already been repossessed I paid it off! Then thinking it was a mistake I got a call from Monique who was on speakerphone along with Crystal they were both yelling at me I couldn't get a word in. I asked them to please quit yelling at me! They kept on so I hung up the phone. They called back I answered and now they stated that I owed for whatever else crap they came up with. I have every one of the phone conversations recorded and I have text from my brother and I stating the amount due. Unfortunately my phone was stolen so I did not have the recorded phone conversations but I do have the text messages. Crystal even stated don't make us repossess your car again! I said so you never claimed no when I clearly stated how much do I owe and when they told me I said good and I never have to deal with you all again Crystal stated no! I have attached the messages between my brother and I and I want to be compensated for their cruel, unusual, unprofessional and malicious behavior in the amount of $1,600 which is the amount I spent on the car. I had done business with them a total of five times. Each time I paid my loan off even chatted with Crystal about her personal life.For them to pull this crap on me is beyond heinous and I didn't make it within the 14 days that they give you. It would not have mattered anyway because they destroyed my car by repossessing it illegally for the second time. Once your car is repoed you are to pay all fees associated with your balance due and any and all repossession fees which is what I paid. Or should I put it like this what Monique told me I owed. First Monique told me 8 50 dollars then she said hold on. When she came back on the phone she told me $600. This was done maliciously and Crystal and Monique need to be terminated immediately!
