My hdmi ports failed 18mo into owning 48" VIZIO tv. Had serviceman repair it. 18month later failed again. Been using cables since but I'm still pissed off that this can't be fixed correctly. By the time I fix again might as well have bought a new TV. Any suggestions

Vizio TV sound problem is a big issue with us. The sound is just not clear; sometimes we hear about 50% and we really have to listen hard.

60" 2 year old Vizio TV piece of junk I will never buy from Walmart ever again or Vizio or Samsung very very disappointed the thousand-dollar TV last two years that should be illegal

I have a 55" Vizio HD, smart TV. It is FIFTEEN MONTHS old. Yesterday, i had it independanly vefiried that the display is SHOT. Vizio told me this earlier, but i couldn't believe i was out 895$, plus tax..and there is nothing i can do. They had to come to my house,4 months after purchase, to replace the "main board", so obviously this tv was junk from day 1.
The very first hdtv i purchased, in 2004, was a vizio, and it works as well as the day i got it. Its 32inch, and has 1 hdmi input. Not functional today. I bought a Sony Bravia, 48inch, in 08. I guess my next tv will NOT be a Vizio.

3 visio tvs, 2 years - no issues!

I own a 47 and 32 inch 3d Tvs and recently purchased a 32 inch LED model. The 2 3d tvs I've owned since mid 2012 and the led model is 2 months the old. The picture quality has been stable and everything has functioned as it should. The remotes are just fine. I haven't had to call their support Center so I cannot comment on that. I am happy with their product and would recommend them highly as a cost effective alternative to brands like LG and Samsung.

Purchased a Vizio sound dock for an IPhone.The remote did not work out of the box.Talked to a customer service rep and was told that it was a defective battery for the remote.Then I was given the solution for the problem by customer service;I should go out to buy a new battery since batteries are not covered under the warranty.Really??I was also told that normal "wear and tear" caused the problem.The unit was just out of the box!!Vizio claims they are not responsible for batteries that "who knows how long they have been in the warehouse".So this is MY problem??The next guy I tried to discuss this with wanted to impress me with the fact that Vizio had gotten the JD Power award...makes me wonder how that ever happened.They have absolutely NO CONCERN for the customer.NEVER ANOTHER VIZIO PIECE OF JUNK!!

Crap Product & Customer service reps who won't honor the warranty

Purchased Vizio 60" TV - sound speakers defective after 1 year. Luckily purchased extended warranty. Vizio contracted tech failed to turn up TWICE & service rep refused to accept responsibility, did not listen to my concerns and hung up on me (yeah, that's right, hung up on me with Costco rep listening). Eventually fixed - my advice is NOT to buy Vizio if you want reliability and service based on my customer service experienceâA533;¦do your own research & be warned!

I bought a 42 inch 3D Vizio tv. I owned it about 8 months and rarely used it as it is in the spare room. When I turned it on there was a crack inside the screen.It was never moved or hit with anything. There is not a mark anywhere on the outside of the screen, not a scratch! I called Vizio and said they could do nothing about it. They told me something must of hit it and i assured them nothing did but they refused to fix it. So, I just wasted $600 on a tv. DO NOT BUY a VIZIO TV!!

I have a 52" Vizio played great until the 3rd year. Then trouble starts TV want stay on when turned on. Hard earned money down the drain just because I believed in a certain product. Thanks a lot. The sad part about my situation I have 2 Vizio in my Home. I guess I have to wait for the next one to go out. I hope the CEO of this company feels go about his product because I totally will not invest in another Vizio product.

I have bought a visio 60 inch led smart tv it has played for three months now I have no picture but sound .... This is the second visio tv to do this on me .... NO MORE VISIO JUNK I WILL FOLLOW CONSUMER REPORTS AND GET A TV THAT ACTUALY MADE THE RATEING !!!!

I am in japan and i am using your 42"inch L42FHDTV1A LHPDKAJ3400393 tv.I want to tell you that the remote is a complete junk.The buttons hardly works.I can't change the channels.i've been callind the japanese phone number on my waranty and manual but it doesn't work anymore.Please tell me what to do?

I purchase a 46" tv on 2-10-12 the tv started 5 month owning it had a black spot in th center of tv the 1 month later when turn on the tv shut off now I have to unplug tv plug in restart know the sound is mess up I am real disappointed in this tv

I purchased vizio soundbar and after three months of use the blue indicator lights quit working. They sent me a new one.
Three months later (or so) the blue lights quit working again so for three or four years I have used soundbar without indicator lightsfor sub, treble, bass and volume.
Hard to recommend or purchase vizio products.

Quite beyond repair.

My Vizio router has apparently become self-aware, resisting all of my attempts to get it to work properly. Customer service was equally unhelpful, since it was impossible to get a human on the other line.

The remote to my Vizio is horrible.Perfectly straight,From six feet away, and brand new batteries in the remote, it works really bad. You have to press very hard to turn it on/off, the mute rarely works(more new batteries), and when you ajust the sound,it will either be tough, or it will go real fast.

This VIZIO remote is a total piece of JUNK!

I have two vizios one 32" and one 42" both are junk. I have already sent the 32" to be fixed once. It was gone for awhile. I thought maybe it was a fluke. So we, stupidly, bought a 42" a year later, while we were waiting for the 32" to be fixed. Now this one isnt working properly...have lost one of the hdmi inputs and cant adjust picture size between normal, wide, zoom, or stretch, so the picture always looks "too big" for the screen. I will NEVER buy another vizio anything. We also bought a vizio blu-ray player, it is JUNK. That is 3 strikes for vizio in my book. They are no better than a con game. They suck you in thinking you have a good product then get you with their sub-par customer service and absolutely terrible products.NEVER NEVER NEVER BUY ANY PRODUCT WITH A VIZIO LABEL ON IT. NEVER!!!!

I wish I had come across this site before I made the Monumental mistake of purchasing my Vizio. The other star in this whole nightmare is the the Microsoft store who were happy to take my my money for the machine but ran for the hills when I had a problem. They MUST have known that what they were selling was crap and sold it anyway.

Scrap parts.

My Vizio XVT3SV wouldn't turn on, no matter what I tried. Customer support didn't help, unplugging and replugging didn't help, waiting didn't help...All in all, a very serious waste of money.

I bought a 42 inch internet connected led tv. The spound and picture are so disappointing. The stand is very weak and the tv does not seem stable. The purchase of this tv has caused so much stressed between my wife and I. I feel like all vizio tvs especially the one I bought are very,very cheaply made and I would not reccomend there tv to anyone. Please don't make the same mistake I did. This has been a nightmare and I'am going to buy a samsung.

Won't turn on

This TV has been having problems for months. The remote on/off stopped working. Had to get up and turn TV on and off. Now the button on the TV has stopped working. Called Costco - they can't help, called Visio, they won't help. I have 3 other Visio TV's and now I am concerned we have invested money in a really poor product. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

Bought a 32inch Vizio LCD which lasted 2years and 3 months. Now it is garbage since the display went bad and is not worth fixing. The TV was used an average of seven hours per week. Obviously Vizio is not the TV to buy. Actually it's a piece of junk.

I have always relied on Consumer Reports but they have been very sloppy lately with their ratings.

Our Vizio BluRay player is just garbage. It turns itself off/on multiple times during DVD/BluRay playback. Sometimes we can lose 10 solid minutes of a movie at a stretch. The remote has been an issue since being unwrapped - it is very cheap. The player looked nice, but is loud, slow and frequently unresponsive.
I spent weeks blaming NetFlix for the disaster that is Vizio.
DO NOT BUY ! Do NOT Buy !!

Vizio product and support are below acceptable

Streaming on the VBR231 was a deciding factor unfortunately Vizio is unable to maintain stability while delivering this service. Frequently Netflix is "unavailable" yet Netflix test indicate functionality of services. Attempting to contact Vizio if futile and their support is unable to answer even the simplest of questions. There support and products are not worth the money buy some other product that is surely values repeat customers because it is obvious Vizio does not.

Vizio received my defective router on 2/14. I called on 2/23 to follow up and they informed me a replacement would ship in 3-5 days. I called today 3/27 and was informed that there was no new information and that they would call me when their warehouse could inform them what the problem is. This is the worst shipping/handling I have EVER encountered in my life.
