Ativa DQ120Dn Shredder - OK, but not great
I have had the Ativa DQ120Dn paper shredder for at least a couple years. It works well to shred a few sheets of paper at a time, credit cards, and CD's, HOWEVER... the sensors are not all that great.The switch has three settings: OFF, On/Auto, and Reverse. OFF and Reverse (a momentary switch position) work correctly all of the time. "Auto" works sometimes, but you will usually have to push the switch toward "Auto" in order for it to run and take paper in.
Cleaning out the cutters will sometimes make "auto" work correctly again, but not always. I suspect a sensor is being blocked, but I have not found a manual that describes the internals of the device... yet.
