Craftsman 17540 Reviews

Possibly a defective Craftsman Plunge Router from the manufacture.
This Craftsman plunge router was purchased about two years ago from Sears. The first time I used the router, I completed the job in about 20 minutes. The router was cleaned and put away. Recently, I had an occasion to use the router for the second time. This time the router would not turn up any rpms. I tried several times to get the router to build up enough rpms, but to no avail.Needless to say the one year warranty had expired.
I went to Sears to discuss the problem, and received no help whatsoever. They sent me to the "tech" at the service center. When I arrived at the service center, I was informed that they have not had a "tech" in over 4 years.
I contacted Craftsman company and explained my problem, also to no success.
I will not continue to buy anymore Craftsman products in the future if this is the assistance I will get. I will take my business elsewhere.
Just wanted to let the other consumers know what will happen when a problem arises with Craftman's products. In the past, Craftsman was a dependable product and name apparantly that is no longer the case.
