Tape stall detected - design issue
Had this issue on one of the machines Dymo 6000.No answers, no service manual no support except "open-clean-reset.... etc"
Opened it and what I see - there are 2 motors (one for cutter one for tape) and ONE "1" one more time ONE!!!!! (for whole machine) magnetic sensor near tape motor shaft which detects motor working condition. Tape motor bracket design SPECIALLY designed to be destroyed in couple years. It is just 2 tiny plastic pieces (degrade and cracks after some time) holds the motor, and after it cracks - motor moved 0.1-0.5 mm from sensor. After this CPU does not see motor "moving" and generates this error...
