Dangerous Fan

The Desktop Wind Tower® Oscillating Multi-Directional Fan Model T14305 repeatedly triggers the ground fault interrupter circuits whenever the rotary on-off-speed switch rotates through the settings. This is very dangerous because it means that the switch is causing an electrical spark. I bought two of these fans and both trip the GFI circuits. I tried it on three separate GFI circuits around the house, all with the same result. The fan does not cause a problem on the non-GFI circuits. Buyer beware and don't let your fire insurance lapse.
