problem in under 2 years

We installed this unit in early 2018 and found it was exceptional in it's performance. Until it failed we could not say enough good things regarding the quality and performance. In the fall of 2019, despite careful adherence to cleaning and maintenance, it developed a problem in which water collected in and under the condenser box area, with some collection of wet, matted lint. Well within our extended 5 year warranty we were shocked to find that service could not be offered at no cost as we are in a 'remote area'. A very fine, BUT VERY NON-FUNCTIONAL, unit thus sits in our laundry area for the last year and a half. All the while our 28 year old Maytag dryer (now pushed back into service) is humming along.
